I had it narrowed down to them at another place but these guys were just more personable over the phone. They had a bit higher price but it wasn't enough to make me want to use the other company. William came over the following day to help me get my garbage disposal repaired. It was making a really weird noise and it was super obnoxious. I think it still worked but maybe not as good, honestly I couldn't exactly tell. It was just the noise that was driving me crazy every time I used it. Anyway, it was really nice and fix the noise really fast. It took him barely any time at all. William was nice enough to give me the service for completely free. He said technically he was supposed to charge a minimum but he was barely there and didn't feel right doing that. Big Sky Plumbing has honest guys that will treat you right.

I recently purchased a very old house which had been rehabbed by the previous owner. In the…read morebasement there was a tankless water heater that appeared to be in good condition. However, soon after I bought the house, the water heater broke down. Turns out the water heater had never been serviced and it had been installed incorrectly by the previous owner. Of course, the water heater broke down over the weekend. I called Big Sky Plumbing late Saturday afternoon and they told me that they would send a plumber out the following morning, to look at my unit. Ken, came out and diagnosed the situation. He gave me two options: a "BandAid option" or replace the old tankless water heater with a brand new one. The BandAid option is exactly what it sounds like: Repair what appeared to be wrong and hope that the heater didn't break down again. But since the water heater had never been serviced, Ken said there was a possibility that something else would soon go bad on the unit, requiring another service call. I called around and had three other plumbers come out. They all said the same thing... the tankless water heater was bad and needed to be replaced. I finally decided to go with Big Sky Plumbing because they offered the best price for both the installation and the annual service contract in comparison to the other plumbers I contacted. Also, Big Sky Plumbing had the highest certification level by Noritz, which was the brand of water heater I wanted to get. Since the old water heater had been improperly vented into the chimney of the house, the installation of the new water heater was an all-day job requiring Ken and another plumber, Patrick, to drill a hole through the stone foundation of the basement and then rewire and rearrange the electrical, gas line and plumbing line in my basement. At the end, they cleaned everything up, removed the old water heater and gas piping and also sealed up the spot where the previous heater vented into the chimney. At the very end, when I was paying Ken, I mentioned to him that I had a leaky kitchen faucet, and he quickly fixed that as well, no charge. (It just needed some tightening, but it was nice that Ken didn't make a fuss about that, which he could've after the very long day he had had working on this job.) Overall, very positive experience and I highly recommend Ken and Big Sky Plumbing to anyone out there looking to upgrade their water heater.

I found that most of these investment companies exist to upsell basic services for outrageous prices and scam homeowners. After some digging I found Platero Parada Plumbing, a real small business run by Sam, the actual plumber that came and reset my toilet seal that had started to leak. I had been referred to Ata via a Rancho Cordova page on Facebook. They did not do me wrong…read more He came out and helped me a while back, when my faucets were leaking. Great service, friendly guy, extremely reasonable prices. However, I had another problem. This time, I had no shower. When I turned the knob for my shower, I just got like a vibration and nothing coming out of the shower. I was reduced to having to take "bucket baths." I called Ata again, and he said he could. blow out the shower line with his air compressor, To see if that would fix the problem He said he could come out the very next morning. He showed up with his air compressor, I turned off the water, he hooked up the air compressor to the shower line, and out popped a little rock. Apparently, what it looks like had happened, was the rock came loose when the city was flushing out the pipes, and unfortunately, it worked its way into my shower line. In other words, I won the bad luck lottery. Once that little rock was gone, I had full shower pressure once again. The price for the second job was also extremely reasonable. If I would've called one of those plumbing companies that have to pay for TV advertising, they would've probably told me that I had to rip out the wall to replace the shower pipes. Ata was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very fair with his pricing. If I have plumbing problems in the future, I know who I'm calling. Thank you!

Being Saturday I didn't want to go without water for a couple days and figured I'd have to pay big bucks to get a plumber out on a Saturday. I messaged 5 businesses on Yelp and Frank from FM Plumbing got back to me in less than 10 minutes. He said he could come and give me an estimate right then or I could send him photos and he could give me an estimate over the phone. As I was expecting to have to get a bunch of quotes to not overpay, I opted to send Frank some photos. Frank got back to me right away and said it would only be $80 plus the cost of parts! Honestly, I was expecting it be at least $200 or $300 for an emergency appointment on the weekend so I told him to come over right away. Frank arrived about 25 minutes later. It took him about an hour and he fixed everything exactly as he said he would. He also had my water back on right away. I was very impressed with Frank's pricing and quality of work. He also told me to call him if there were any issues whatsoever, and told me he would come back free of charge. I don't think I could have asked for anything else.
