Coffee (I always get the cans!)
    Meredith A.

We visited UGA for a college tour today, and of course we stopped by an Athens Jittery Joes. It's cute inside, small but cozy and welcoming. The barista was kind and made our drinks perfectly! I got an iced americano and my son got an iced dirty chai. Both drinks were good! They are well stocked with coffee beans too and I almost bought some because I love the cans they come in. I can always count on Jittery Joes for a nice cup of iced coffee on a hot day!

Convenient location in downtown Athens. Small café with variety of flavor options, and alternative milks.

Excellent iced coffee, paired with yummy pastries and a phenomenal staff makes stopping at Jittery Joe's a must do when in Athens, Georgia. If our schedule would have allowed a slow start to the day, we would have absolutely sat in the coffee house for a peaceful start to the day. The colors used in the space create a welcome and friendly space. Beautiful artwork is displayed on the wall and cute wooden crafts are for sale as well. We were so excited to have our food and drinks that I forgot to photograph them but got a few cute photos of the space while I waited for our order. As iced coffee fans, we were very pleased with the entire experience and plan to have Jittery Joe's on our must visit list every time we come to Athens. I wish I'd remembered to ask the names of those who greeted us upon arrival and made our coffees as they were an integral part of falling in love with this place! As a new UGA parent, we even purchased some "Attack the Day" - K cups to bring home to California. Can't wait to relive the entire experience!

Lavender Mint Matcha Latte, Butter Croissant

My friends and I came here right before dinner, and I was surprised they were still open. Luckily it wasn't too busy - despite being sorority rush weekend. I ordered a lavender mint matcha latte, which was a seasonal drink. I also got my regular coffee shop pastry, a butter croissant. The latte was amazing, the croissant was pretty good as well. The barista warmed it up for me as we left the store because she had to close. It did get slightly soggy afterwards when I hid it in my pockets for another restaurant but I was so hungry it didn't really matter.

Fantastic espresso and tasty chai tea, and friendly service. The limon loaf was great too.

Definitely a place for students, prices are affordable, so caffeine bust at a low cost, but definitely not an amazing coffee.

Hmmm. I wasn't fond of Jittery Joe's even when I was in college, but I wanted the bf to experience the coffee here so I wandered inside. They obviously were inexperienced baristas as they had no clue what I was talking about when I ordered off the special menu. They both starred at the menu and then just suggested a simple macchiato as that was the closet thing. The size of this thing was sad as it looked like the extra small frapp size. The bf's choice of a reg house blend was safe. He was given a cup and directed to a station with 3 coffee choices to choose from. I don't remember his choice, but it was smooth and pretty good.

    Toddy - 16 oz $2.75 cold brew!

It was 1 PM after a Friday night of drinking and it was definitely time for some coffee. There's an expansive menu inside on the chalk board filled with different espresso and coffee options. I was going to stick with my usual order of a latte, but my eyes were drawn to the more unique options. I ended up ordering a toddy, which the barista explained was their cold brew. I forgot the name of their beans they used (began with an "s," but it wasn't a familiar name) but it went down smooth. Available in 16 and 20 oz options! Good coffee, this is definitely a better alternative to Starbucks (blasphemous, I know).

Stopped by for an iced hazelnut latte. Not too sweet and service was pretty quick. Nice employees.

There might be a little bias options here since this joint is owned by his really good friend's granddaughter. But the fact it's local, I'm going to support it. Walking up, the espresso machine and register was set up outside. There's some remodeling going on so I didn't get the opportunity to see what the venue looks like inside. But outside is quite cute. I love the flowers surrounding the outside patio. A handful of sweet baristas were working. They all greeted us! I checked out the summer menu to see what kind of cool drinks they had. I got a vanilla oat milk matcha latte. My husband got a summer drink of the menu. It was a sparkling strawberry lemonade. My husband's lemonade was so good! I appreciate that real strawberry puree was used. It was sweet, tangy and bubbly! It was quite refreshing for a sweet drink. My matcha was balanced! There was a good amount of matcha to oat milk. I didn't quite taste the vanilla as much as I would have liked to. I did add some sugar to it when we stopped at the Waffle House. It tasted much better once the sugar was added. I'm already going to plan on coming back when we visit Athens again next year. I look forward to seeing the new remodel. And I look forward to potentially meeting the famous Molly that my father in law speaks ok. I enjoyed my matcha and it's great that I got to support a local joint while I was here.
