Ordered a luncheon special that has beef teriyaki included. I substituted the beef for chicken teriyaki. I was charged $1 extra for the change of my order. The chicken teriyaki is cheaper than the beef but yet I was charged extra for the cheaper option. No where on their menu or website does it state that there will be an upcharge for a substitution. read more

Second time ordering under the new management. Figured everyone deserves a second chance. I won't give them a third. Egg rolls were more like spring rolls. The chicken wings were very salty (all soy, and couldn't taste any ginger or garlic at all). Crab rangoons had minimal filling, they were lightly fried, which was appreciated, but not flavorful. Steak teriyaki was meh. Overall, I feel like they cheaped out, and they skimp on ingredients. The prices have risen, which is the case everywere, very understandable, but if you raise the price, the quality should remain the same, not go down. Sadly, we will drive to Milford from now on. read more

New management/owner: Menu has changed and the online version is not yet updated ( still showing old menu ). They have removed the online ordering, but also the credit card surcharge which personally I was really bothered by, so great to see that go. Major change: no pork dishes. So everything is now chicken, beef or seafood. Generally smaller menu. Most of the dishes that stayed on the menu are different, different tasting sources and changes in incredients. They now have "combination" meals on the menu for both lunch/dinner ( with dinner have an increased price ). The rice was also different, more like a sticky rice. As a family, we still trying to decide whether we liked old/new more. I think it depended on the dish. In general, fried food did seem lighter, less greasy. The doughs used for also seemed a little lighter like in the scallion pancake and dumplings, less like an eggrole, more like a noodle. I would have given 3.5 stars better than ok, but not quite 4 stars in my book for this last order. We will certainly give it another chance because there aren't quite frankly that many "good" chinese restaurants near by. read more

Tonight was my second time dining from this restaurant. Last time we were not impressed but we decided to give it a second try. I'll give them credit for having it ready on time. The pan-fried noodles with chicken and veggies was pretty bad. The noodles were soggy and chewy. Certainly not worth it. The soup was hot but mediocre. Pretty good overall. The peking ravioli have been very good, juicy and very tasty. The pineapple chicken is really good. The portions are large the containers were overflowing. Delivery was faster than expected. The spring rolls are a little greasy but not bad. read more

I didn't even eat here. I had to go to the bathroom so bad and this place was the only place open. When I left the bathroom some lady gave me an attitude saying I am not allowed to use the bathroom because I am not a paying customer. So sorry I didn't want to pee my pants. How about you have a sign that says "bathroom only for paying customers". I will not eat here because I got such an attitude. Current go to local Chinese place. Still doesn't hold a candle to now closed Star Ocean in Hudson. Great chicken fingers, perfect chicken/breading ratio. They skimp on the duck sauce, ask for extra if you want more than one container. Decent Lo Mein and pork fried rice. Beef teriyaki is the real stinker here. Not enough flavor, reminds me more of a teriyaki beef dish from a Japanese restaurant. read more

We have tried a lot of places since moving here and feel that Jing's is the best option. Offers delivery, food is hot, tastes fresh.

Purchased a bag of take-out on the way home from work. Little pricy, but for the few takeout choices in the area it is reasonable. General Tso's chicken was flavorful, nice chicken pieces and sauce was tangy. Beef chow fun was pretty good - nice noodles, flavorful and beef was in right portion. Would have preferred to have just a little gravy as the ride home made the noodles congeal together into a block. We had an order of beef with mushrooms and vegetables and it was good. Stay away from the pad thai - seems like the chef has never made it before - no flavor, noodles were blandly white, little besides noodles, bits of chicken and a touch of scrambled eggs. Overall, if not for the few choices, we would walk away, but its a suitable fix for a unplanned dinner. read more

Been here 3 times now. I always give a restaurant at least 3 tries. Try one...delicious! Try two...meh. Not so much. The beef we ordered was SO overcooked and dry. I LITERALLY could not chew it. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp was unbearably salty so we ate the rice and apps. Like I said...I always give a place 3 tries before leaving a bad review. Try 3. We call Christmas Eve on the way home from work fully expecting a long wait. Nope! "We can have your food ready in 20 minutes." AWESOME! Not so much! I pay...$40 for 3 apps and a sesame beef. I wondered if it was marked up because of the day but just paid and went on my merry way. I was just happy to have food! Oh my GAWD!! I think they made the food like a week in advance to cut down on the wait? It was inedible! The Peking Raviolis were so chewy I gave up and threw them out. The Crab Rangoons were obviously made by someone who usually does not work there. The filling was overbearing and was gagging me. Plus they were undercooked and soggy. The beef was so overcooked that I literally heard a cracking in my jaw trying to chew it. The only thing we could eat was the Egg Rolls (which were fresh and complete perfection). Take it from me Mr. Jing! Your customers would rather wait than not be able to eat their food! :( We will probably give it one more try because it is close but it better be good!! read more

This place fails in my chinese food test. Peking Ravioli (and peking sauce), and Hot & Sour Soup. Hot & Sour Soup - Tastes like dishwater and vinegar. The sustinance is pretty good, lots of firm tofu. Flavor still lacks. Peking Ravioli- VERY VERY VERY bready, remains gummy and raw post cooking because of the thickness. Peking sauce is pretty bland, doesn't stick to the dumpling like it should (like molasses), runs right off like water. read more

Horrible food. Everything was stone cold and didn't taste fresh, seemed everything was pre made due to new years eve. The prices were not accurate as advertised on line and way over priced. This restaurant is good for cheap, American Chinese food. A little short staffed so they can't always fulfill late deliveries, but take out process is easy as they are fast. Service is fine. Lunch menu is great value. read more

i've gone to Jing's off and on since it opened. I generally don't go because the prices are high and the portions small for a Chinese place. However I have always found the food edible. Not tonight. I ordered chicken curry to go and it was unbelievable salty. The chef probably hates me. To add insult to injury the portion size was about 2/3 of their typical (small) portion and of course I never discovered that until I got home. This is just unacceptable and I will be off Jing's for a while. read more

Chicken Pad Thai was very bland, and chicken was in short supply, Crispy sesame chicken looked like genetically made chicken ( all pieces were round and looked the same, sauce was something out of a jar. Though I have lived in Metrowest for many years, today was my first time ordering from Jing's Garden in Holliston. Their online menu was generally extensive, though there was no description lending detail to the imageless listings. I was interested in the Crab Rangoon, Shrimp Pad Thai and Crispy Shrimp that were listed. I was also very impressed in the reasonable pricing, hoping the quality of these dishes would not be disappointing. As it turned out, their online menu did not match their hard copy menu, neither for listings, nor pricing. In fact, because of the discrepancies, I was encouraged to go to the restaurant to compare items, then place my order. The pricing was markedly higher than online, so much so, that even after eliminating the Rangoon, and using a coupon (that I received in the mail today), the total hit 27.00. The hostess suggested the owner could call me to discuss the issues, whereas, I voiced my disappointment with this experience, especially regarding the false advertising. The time to talk was then and there. By the way, here is my review of the two dishes I received. The Crispy Shrimp ended up to be Crispy Salt and Pepper Shrimp was very good. It came on a bed of shredded lettuce, and chopped scallions atop. I am well-versed in the world of Pad Thai, and this version was Boring!, yes, with a capital 'B'! 97% rice noodles, flavorless (even after requesting spicy), salad-sized shrimp, carrots, egg, 1/2 piece of scallion and a few mung bean sprouts. Perhaps, it is safe to say, that a chef should stick to cooking just one type of ethnic food and do it well, rather than diversifying, and failing. read more

This is primarily a take out place, but I did eat inside for dinner with my sister. I had Kung Pao Chicken with Peanuts. My sister had Chicken with Cashews. As a new resident to the town it was so shocking to see the lack of commercial places in town. My husband and I are new to the area and decided to try Jings. The food was not good in my opinion . This place is good to go for east coast Chinese food, we had it delivered and I enjoyed everything we ordered which was the sesame chicken, the post stickers, chicken finger, pork fried rice and probably more however I am full thinking about it. Really nasty cheap Chinese food. If thats what you're craving, so be it, otherwise avoid this place. All of the food is OK at best, and the spring/egg rolls taste like they came from a box. The atmosphere is basically non-existent (for a fast food Chinese place this is fine, but don't expect a sit down). My advice would be to save some money for the better Asian fair in other towns like Framingham. read more

I live across the street from Jing's so I frequent this restaurant often. Sometimes the food is so so and other times its absolutely amazing, its like a gamble but worth it. They have absolutely amazing egg rolls, and I always order the garlic chicken, it is some of the best garlic chicken I have had anywhere. They also do a great job with the house special lo-mien and the house special fried rice. The lunch combos are also great, a lot of food at a great low price. I would definitely recommend Jing's for take out Chinese, that and its the only one in Holliston anyways! :) read more

The place is a total hole in the wall, but if you want decent food at a ridiculously low price, you can't beat Jing's. I ordered an orange chicken dinner combo which came with rice and 2 appetizers and the whole bill was less than $9. Seriously! The trade off was that while I was waiting for my food to finish getting cooked, I had to hear some Revere trash advising someone (loudly, on a cell phone) to go to a homeless shelter while she stuffed her own face with mu shoo chicken. read more

The food is ok, not bad but certainly not the best Chinese in the area, especially if you factor in the price. The sweet and sour chicken is very doughy and light on the chicken. Like you're eating greasy donuts with some chicken in it. Other dishes are a bit alternative as well, not for me. There are better options, if you're willing to drive a bit. read more

It's your typical Chinese restaurant, but for some reason is the ONLY Chinese food I want whenever I come home. Peeking ravioli to die for!! I crave them while living in upstate New York! I get denied delivery all the time from Jing's because it's "too late". It's 830pm . I asked what time I should call by bc I always seem to get shut down when I call in an order, which is such a bummer. She said 830 is the cut off...just so you know. Otherwise, decent food. We get the Peking ravioli, crab rangoons, and beef teriyaki. When they do deliver, it's always super quick. Sometimes 10 min. We live close. read more
