Jines Restaurant is always a nice place to go. The food is good and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Plus you can do a lot of people watching. We went Thursday night which was our date night. The restaurant was not crowded inside at all. A lot of the patrons were having their meals outside. Plus you can register your license plate and get 3 hours free parking when you go to jines for dinner or whatever as soon as you walk in the door to the left thats where you register your vehicle. And that is another awesome perk. The host brought us to a booth where we had a window seat basically on the side road. And we were given our menus & place settings. Our waitress came to the table shortly thereafter and took our drink orders which were 2 ice waters with lemon and I got a Riesling as well. Then I ordered the vegetarian chili as my appetizer ( it was great) then a broccoli burger/ rice pilaf for my dinner. All were delicious I brought the broccoli burger home of course lol! The portion sizes are pretty standard. And he got a turkey wrap and a salad for his appetizer. We had no complaints about last nights visit we like Jines. read more

This place was phenomenal! Went to lunch Nevada I had work in Rochester today and just wanted a quick bite, food came out fast, was so delicious and just the right size. Staff were attentive and fast. We sat outdoors but it was so clean and nice to eat outdoors, inside was beautiful as well. Seems like a popular place. I would definitely go back! read more

Jines Restaurant - Chicken & Pesto Sandwich with mushrooms peppers and onions - Greek Near Me - Rochester, New York

Jine's is one of my favorite restaurants in the area but I left somewhat unhappy with my most recent visit. To start, the location we were seated at was unpleasant. When you first arrive and check in there is a small lobby area to wait in, If needed. The small area has now been converted to a narrow seating area with two high top tables. We took the seats they gave us but I feel this contributed to the bad experience. The waiting area is still there but now surrounds these tables. When the waiting area does get crowded you have people waiting standing around very close to you as you are eating, practically right on top of the table area. This was awkward and I will definitely request to not be seated here next time. I understand the restaurant is busy and this add more seating but it's very uncomfortable and is not what we are looking for when paying to eat out. The service was also slow. It felt like being over in this corner we did not see our server much and had to wait longer overall. Normally this is not the case when visiting and I can't help but think it is due to where we were sat. The food was excellent as always and is why I am giving a 3 star rating. Service was just not what it normally is when visiting and that was disappointing read more

Visiting from Los Angeles and was delighted to find this place. Expansive breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. Amazing service. High end bistro with a hometown touch of pleasant and responsive service. Had brunch twice and it does get busy and for good reason! My son enjoyed his corned beef hash and eggs Benedict so much that he also orders and heartily ate a delicious gyro ... and he wasn't even that hungry to begin with. Yes it's that good read more

We have been walking by this restaurant for years and finally went in. We are really glad we did. The food was terrific. The Spanakopita was some of the best I've ever had. The souvlaki was another highlight as was the homemade soups. Our server was great and we had a nice chat with the owner who made sure to stop by and check on us at this busy restaurant. I highly recommend Jines. read more

This place is a solid spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Just a heads-up if you're coming on the weekend, expect a wait. It is what it is. Lately, I've been stopping by and I usually go for a burger cooked my way with fries. It's always tasty. Service is always friendly and helpful. As for parking, you've got a couple of options, street parking or the lot by 7-Eleven. If you use the lot, you either have to pay (see the signs with the QR Code) or send a friend in to give your info to the restaurant. I think they still validate, but definitely double check. It's an OG spot on Park Ave and when it's warmer they have outdoor seating. read more

Jines Restaurant - Brunch good - Greek Near Me - Rochester, New York

Solid! Solid! Solid! The food, while not flavors that are knocking my socks off like I'm usually raving about, is ALWAYS made wonderfully, tastes like homemade comfort and just good honest soul food. Sometime I take this kind of food for granted... but I'm SO grateful that Jines has that kind of magic touch. The people who work there have always been a unique mixture across the board, but every one of them shows a heart for service, kindness, and neighborliness that makes me comfortable and happy to be there! So grateful for this! The restaurant is always clean, tidy and well maintained! There's usually staff everywhere to clear and wipe down tables, fill water glasses / attend to requests, sweep floors and under tables, etc. Rock SOLID way to keep the place looking and feeling comfortable that not only the customers, but the environment is cared for. And the prices are have always been comfortable no matter how many people I've invited to join me. You're not going to get a free meal, that I know of, but I always feel comfortable ordering whatever I like and I've never felt concerned over the bill when it has come. Always felt the value far exceeded the bill. I've found that this has become one of my go-to places when I'm walking the neighborhood and I don't know exactly what I want. I always know that I'll be going to a place where I feel like I am going home. read more

Stopped here for an early supper while in the area visiting family. As it was before 5 pm the restaurant was quiet but the bar was busy. We ordered a variety of dishes and all were good. Portions were generous. I had the Margherita pizza and it was very good. The crust was a little thicker than I like but it held up well with the toppings. Sauce, chopped tomatoes, mozzarella and a swirl of balsamic and a sprinkle of fresh basil. Th individual size was still more than I could eat in one sitting. Others in my group had ravioli, chicken parm, ahi tuna and a chicken and pasta dish. My husband had the days special kielbasa and pierogies that he enjoyed. Service was good and we all left full and satisfied read more

Been coming here for years! The parking is different than what it used to be so if you go to giant park in the main parking lot to the left and then you go inside, you can enter your plate number and get a couple hours without paying. They have such a variety of food and I have many favorites. For breakfast, my friend turned me onto the crème brûlée oatmeal. I am an oatmeal fan, but not crème brûlée but together it was actually really good. We usually get this with raisin toast. The omelettes are really good as well as the breakfast sandwich. The eggs Benedict is a popular item and also people I go with usually get this for lunch. I like the grape leaves and the BLT. I'm a big fan of their honey mustard. It does have poppy seeds in it though. They also have a very good mimosa if that's what you're into. The service is consistent and on point and the staff are very nice. It's a pretty good size dining area so I never usually have to wait to be sat although It can get very busy. Definitely a Rochester staple! read more

There's nothing I can say that you don't already know about Jines. But if you haven't been here yet, definitely go. Lots of delicious choices, especially in the Eggs Benedict and sweet breakfast choices. Omelets are great, too. Really, give it a try. I can't imagine you won't find something you'll like. Even their bacon and eggs are a notch above diner food for comparable prices. read more

Jines is located at the epicenter of Park Avenue, and has been in this location, pleasing diners for 55 years. There is a breakfast and lunch menu available most of the day, and dinner specials starting at 4:30. Craft cocktails, wine, and beer are also offered. The menu selections are huge, well prepared, and served by exceptionally friendly wait staff. Outdoor dining allows you to sit in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, adding to the pleasure of the experience. read more

One of the things I always loved about Jines was that it was reasonable and I didn't feel like they were selling out. It's been a while but I stopped on today and it was total chaos with people trying to check in, pay and wait for a table along with servers coming I n and out. I guess nothing stays the same and $15 crappy sandwiches are the norm? I dunno. Easy to miss what was I suppose. read more

3.5 stars for the food, 0.5 stars for the ambiance. This is an old restaurant but I had never been here until recently! We walked in and had to wait about 15 mins before being seated. The service was very quick (almost too quick as we were asked if we were ready or not before we'd even had a chance to look at the menu). Their ambiance is fresh and chic. Their hot chocolate was pretty decent. I got the wild mushroom and blue cheese omelet, my brother got the eggs Benedict and our friend got the pancakes. The Benedict portion was very small as my brother inhaled it. It was ok to taste. The omelet was decent and pretty heavy. The best part of it was the bread, which was delicious. The pancakes were decent too. All in all, it was decent food and for a decent price. I would recommend this place for a quick brunch in a nice part of Rochester. There is a parking lot a couple of blocks away. Do NOT pay there so that you can get parking validated through the restaurant. They don't validate prepaid tickets. Otherwise, you can look for street parking which is always a bit harder. read more

We had a delightful experience dining on the street-side patio at Jines. I was particularly pleased with my wild mushroom and blue cheese omelette--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife and daughter enjoyed the Crab Benedict and the California Benedict, respectively, and my son loved the Orange Marmalade Stuffed French Toast. All of us were thoroughly impressed with our meals. The combination of excellent food and the charming outdoor seating made for a memorable dining experience. read more

Jines Restaurant - Greek Near Me - Rochester, New York

Where i grew up in Connecticut 98% of the diners were Greek owned. Mostly in a chrome idea housing it...a lot of them w Greek pastries under the cash register, full stocked bar, and often a juke box at each booth. Jines is a simpler more homey version of the "Jersey" diner 10 page menu experience (from shrimp scampi to corned beef to feta omelet). A lot of the same goodies...but in a very charming neighborhood on Park Ave and not in the midst of the Jersified suburban sprawl. The BLT was excellent...smoked bacon. Nothing fancy here...but a full stocked bar if you'd care for a beer w your eggs. read more

people used to come to Jines for great breakfast, but that is now a thing of the past. À simple order of French toast with two eggs over easy on top and sausage patties was hospital quality at best. Somehow the server gave me Turkey sausage which I didn't order, go figure. The plate was $16 + tip, and that's after they took off the cost of the horrible, dry, frozen, precooked product sausage that I didn't eat. Two small slices of oval shaped bread and two eggs with maple syrup ( for which there was an upcharge). I even asked, before ordering, if they used thick Texas toast style bread for the French toast and was told yes. I might have been able to voice my disappointment but the server didn't check on me until I'd eaten the eggs and toast. This place has been known historically for its premium breakfasts, but things have changed and the quality of the food no longer stands up to the Park Avenue prices. Many better places in the area, don't bother with Jines. read more

One of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to. Great prices, great service, and the food is just amazing.

Officially taking Jines off my list. I ordered the "eggs enchilada" which was two poached eggs on top of vegetarian chili and pita bread. Very weird and had no flavor. The person I dined with ordered a belgian waffle with chocolate chips. The chips were literally placed ON TOP of the waffle instead of mixed into the batter. Lazy cooking. He also had oatmeal, which had no flavor. We had to add sugar from the table into the oatmeal but it still wasn't great. Lastly, we ordered two alcoholic drinks. Not sure what alcohol was in them but the sangria was GROSS and the blue drink was so sweet, it was also gross. Overall, their cheap prices make sense. The food is microwave quality and the drinks were not well made at all. Would never recommend this place to anyone as there are many other diners in Rochester that serve real food for the same prices. On top of all that, there's no parking lot (though they do validate parking if you park in the paid lot down the street) and they're always super busy so wait times can be long. Idk why they're so busy considering the quality. The service was nice! That's about the only plus. read more

Great breakfast spot on Park Ave. There is street parking, but there is also a lot next door that Jines validates up to three hours of parking time for. WE came in around 11 am on Sunday, so prime brunch time, and only waited 15 minutes for a table for four. There are plenty of options for everyone. The amount of omelette choices is enough, but there's also several types of Benedicts, pancakes, waffles, and French toast. I ended up with the lox omelette, which had some sweetness from the cream cheese and saltiness from the salmon, a perfect combo. I also had a side of the breakfast potatoes, which were the perfect medium between crispy and soft. If you're looking for a casual brunch spot with options for everyone, Jines is the place for you. read more

Generic and mediocre Sysco level food. Good place to throw your money away when you have a cold and have lost your sense of taste.

A great breakfast spot located in a cute neighborhood in Rochester, NY. My wife had the Night Shifter, a waffle sandwich with eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, and spinach, drizzled with caramel. She also had a delicious Espresso martini. I had the Combination Special, 2 eggs over medium, bacon, 2 pancakes, and a side of toast. This meal was super delicious and very affordable. Looking for a local diner spot in Rochester with good service, prices, and food? Well look no further because I've got just the spot for you! Jines is a casual restaurant serving up all of your favorite breakfast classics. It's definitely a relaxed vibe perfect for a casual brunch with some of your crew. Onto the food! We ordered the Breakfast Burrito, the Loaded BLT Sandwich, the Mediterranean Omelette, and French Toast with Scrambled Eggs. With each bite of the Breakfast Burrito, the gooey cheese had a perfect cheese pull and filled my mouth with happiness. The other ingredients were also pretty standard and complimented each other well to make this a solid entree. The Loaded BLT featured crispy bacon and fresh lettuce and tomatoes stuffed between two crunchy and buttery pieces of toast. Another decent classic. The Mediterranean Omelette was on the specials menu and featured yummy veggies folded into a delicious thick and creamy egg omelette. Special shoutout to the feta on the omelette that was creamy and super fresh tasting. Last but not least, the French Toast was another classic and delicious breakfast item on the menu that we just had to try and you can get a combo plate with savory items, such as eggs and meat. The French Toast was super fluffy and buttery and paired well with the scrambled eggs. The sausage links were also a good savory pair with the entree. You really can't go wrong with this place if you're looking for reliable and yummy diner food. We came here wanting good breakfast food and we definitely achieved that goal. Expect a little bit of a wait on weekends as this place definitely gets packed, but it is in a cute neighborhood so you can walk around and enjoy the area as you wait for your table! I definitely want to return to try some of the Greek food items as I've heard good things about the lunch and dinner menu. read more

My favorite "diner" in Rochester. Some of the best fries I've had in Rochester because they're beer battered with a thick crispy coating. Got a western omelette ($9.99) with pita bread (+$1) which was good but nothing special. I also tried the mushroom and blue cheese omelette which was good not great. The beer battered fries ($5.09 for a large) are perfection. Prices are very reasonable. I found a hair in my food last time I was there. This is about on par with Jersey diner food. It is decent but not great overall other than the fries. read more

This place was recommended by the college kids from nearby university and it did not disappoint. The service was prompt, attentive, and responsive. The breakfast dishes were outstanding. One must try their specialties on the last page of the menu. I had the house made hash brown egg Benedict and it was great. The ingredients for the omelette dishes were fresh as I was told by my companions. We were there Monday morning and the restaurant was busy with dine-in and take-out. So, this place must have a good reputation. read more
