    Chicken Souvlaki Plate

We have been walking by this restaurant for years and finally went in. We are really glad we did. The food was terrific. The Spanakopita was some of the best I've ever had. The souvlaki was another highlight as was the homemade soups. Our server was great and we had a nice chat with the owner who made sure to stop by and check on us at this busy restaurant. I highly recommend Jines.

This place is a solid spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Just a heads-up if you're coming on the weekend, expect a wait. It is what it is. Lately, I've been stopping by and I usually go for a burger cooked my way with fries. It's always tasty. Service is always friendly and helpful. As for parking, you've got a couple of options, street parking or the lot by 7-Eleven. If you use the lot, you either have to pay (see the signs with the QR Code) or send a friend in to give your info to the restaurant. I think they still validate, but definitely double check. It's an OG spot on Park Ave and when it's warmer they have outdoor seating.

Broccoli Burger with mushrooms and jerk chicken with mango salsa.

Friday night date night was at Jine's, they were not busy when we walked in but it was also early. So we were immediately seated and our waiter came over a few minutes later and took our drink order while we continued to look at the menu's. So when the waiter came back with our drinks we were ready to place our food orders. I got the Broccoli veggie burger with mushrooms, lettuce and Thousand Island dressing that came with French fries. So my meal was good and the burger was too big so I had to take it off the bun and eat it without the bun. The French fries were good also I really liked the burger too. My significant other got the jerk chicken that came with potato salad, mango salsa and my pickle lol! He also enjoyed his dinner and for dessert we had the baklava one of my favorite desserts, so it was an enjoyable meal and the waitstaff were all courteous and knowledgeable. And I like the fact that when you eat at Jines Restaurant you don't have to worry about Getting your car towed as they give you 3 hours and you can register your car license plate in the restaurant.

Been coming here for years! The parking is different than what it used to be so if you go to giant park in the main parking lot to the left and then you go inside, you can enter your plate number and get a couple hours without paying. They have such a variety of food and I have many favorites. For breakfast, my friend turned me onto the crème brûlée oatmeal. I am an oatmeal fan, but not crème brûlée but together it was actually really good. We usually get this with raisin toast. The omelettes are really good as well as the breakfast sandwich. The eggs Benedict is a popular item and also people I go with usually get this for lunch. I like the grape leaves and the BLT. I'm a big fan of their honey mustard. It does have poppy seeds in it though. They also have a very good mimosa if that's what you're into. The service is consistent and on point and the staff are very nice. It's a pretty good size dining area so I never usually have to wait to be sat although It can get very busy. Definitely a Rochester staple!

Definitely recommend! Food was DELICIOUS and FRESH! I was looking for a brunch spot while visiting on 02/10/2024 and after reading all the great reviews, I decided on Junes Restaurant.

Jines is located at the epicenter of Park Avenue, and has been in this location, pleasing diners for 55 years. There is a breakfast and lunch menu available most of the day, and dinner specials starting at 4:30. Craft cocktails, wine, and beer are also offered. The menu selections are huge, well prepared, and served by exceptionally friendly wait staff. Outdoor dining allows you to sit in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, adding to the pleasure of the experience.

We had a delightful experience dining on the street-side patio at Jines. I was particularly pleased with my wild mushroom and blue cheese omelette--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife and daughter enjoyed the Crab Benedict and the California Benedict, respectively, and my son loved the Orange Marmalade Stuffed French Toast. All of us were thoroughly impressed with our meals. The combination of excellent food and the charming outdoor seating made for a memorable dining experience.

Delicious dinner this past Wednesday! Ambiance was wonderful. We did opt for an early dinner. This may have contributed to the more relaxing feel. Alexis D. was friendly and attentive. To add, I also love that they validate parking in the paid lot. That's definitely going above and beyond to keep your customers happy!

3.5 stars for the food, 0.5 stars for the ambiance. This is an old restaurant but I had never been here until recently! We walked in and had to wait about 15 mins before being seated. The service was very quick (almost too quick as we were asked if we were ready or not before we'd even had a chance to look at the menu). Their ambiance is fresh and chic. Their hot chocolate was pretty decent. I got the wild mushroom and blue cheese omelet, my brother got the eggs Benedict and our friend got the pancakes. The Benedict portion was very small as my brother inhaled it. It was ok to taste. The omelet was decent and pretty heavy. The best part of it was the bread, which was delicious. The pancakes were decent too. All in all, it was decent food and for a decent price. I would recommend this place for a quick brunch in a nice part of Rochester. There is a parking lot a couple of blocks away. Do NOT pay there so that you can get parking validated through the restaurant. They don't validate prepaid tickets. Otherwise, you can look for street parking which is always a bit harder.

Generic and mediocre Sysco level food. Good place to throw your money away when you have a cold and have lost your sense of taste.

All of the others who didn't measure up." But take heart! All it takes is taking off the glasses and letting its hair down, and suddenly you realize just how attractive and special Railway Station Diner really is! It's the quintessential reliable diner. Above average food. Below average prices. Regulars. A counter. Good service. Quick service. The Mediterranean frittata was wholesome and filling. The ingredients, fresh. It came with roast (up charge for raisin toast, but worth it!). The breakfast sandwich with shred, too, was perfectly proportioned; the crunch of the English muffin and the squish of the sausage balanced each other exactly equally, like Neo and Smith in that third Matrix movie. But the true hidden gem was the muffin. Cut in half and grilled. With sugar crystals! Not too big. Not too small. Not so sweet as to be dessert-like. Just perfectly sweet enough to make you not regret "going savory" by getting the frittata as your main course. Next time you're asked about the best diners around, make sure Railway Station Diner is part of the pantheon.

There is someone just circling constantly with a pot. This is a cash only establishment, so be advised. There is an ATM. We did go at slightly off peak times, since we weren't working those days, but at those times, the restaurant seems to be a favorite of retired men, which is a good sign for a diner! They have a set menu and a specials board that I think changes daily. There's 2 full pages of breakfast, and at least 2 pages of lunch, plus the board. I'm sure you'll find something you like. I had the same thing both visits - a cheese omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was really cheesy, and I liked that it was a 2 egg omelet rather than 3, for me it was just the right size. We also split a piece of the rotating coffee cake, cinnamon walnut that day, and it was good - not too sweet, plenty of cinnamon. The guy had their 2-2-2 combo and was happy with that choice. For both of us, breakfast ran about $35, for 2 entrees and coffee, plus the cake.

Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences. We spent 2.5 hours total at the restaurant. After waiting an excessive amount of time, we watched two tables that arrived at least an hour after us receive their food first. When we politely asked if our ticket might have been missed, we were told those tables ordered before us, which simply wasn't true. We were then told the delay was because burgers take a long time but a nearly two-hour wait for a burger is pretty wild. It took about 25 minutes just for someone to take our drink order, and we were never asked if we wanted additional drinks. We had to flag staff down for everything. No ketchup, no hot sauce, nothing offered. The $30 mimosa flight served in tiny glasses also felt like a complete scam. When the food finally came, two people in our party were served 15-20 minutes before the other two, and the food was cold. One dish had completely raw eggs. When I let the server know I couldn't eat it, she came back and removed the meal from the bill, which was appreciated. However, the interaction itself felt tense and dismissive, which made an already frustrating experience worse. They did give us a round of breakfast shots to try to help pass the time which was appreciated. The food itself was disappointing overall. The breakfast burrito was basically all eggs with raw, bitter avocado, and my husband's burger was missing requested toppings. We also noticed food sitting in the service window while we continued waiting. The only person who was happy with their meal got the biggie fries an it was hot when it arrived. To make matters worse, the bathroom was unheated on an 18° day (feels like 2°) and not clean. We're a pretty chill, patient group and understand that kitchens get backed up but man, this experience completely missed the mark. Ironically, the cooks thanked us for our patience and servers said goodbye pleasantly on the way out. We honestly may have let a lot of this go if the service hadn't felt so dismissive when we calmly raised concerns.
