Double Breakfast Special and Feel Omelet with Sourdough Toast

I've been here twice now and it was like night and day. The good was absolutely delicious both times, but the service was not so great the first time. Gave Bob's a second try and everything was spot on. Very casual, tasty diner food.

Irish Eggs Benedict! Yumm, so good. These were spot on delicious

What a hidden gem I stumbled accidentally on. It was packed, but they got me in very quickly for a busy Sunday. Great food! Service is 5

I visited Bob's Diner most recently in May, during a visit with my boyfriend to his hometown. Service is always friendly and kind, the food is solidly delicious, and you can't beat those prices! Hehe. My Greek omelette was delicious, and I will always appreciate a well-buttered toast. Also - now that my boyfriend has moved back to town, it looks like I've got more visits to Bob's in my near future :)

Came to Rochester to visit family and stayed near bob's diner. Before retiring to DC we stopped by to grab breakfast. Came around 830, no wait but almost every table was taken. First impressions is that they staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. My spouse got the Irish Benedict which is a weekend only dish and I got a breakfast sandwich with hash browns. Both tasted great. I really appreciated how the hash browns were fried hard and everything was seasoned. Staff was super nice. Would recommend!

Delicious and quick service. The place was packed. I got the country fried steak special, it was tender and had a great coating. My fellow diner git the chicken cordon blu sandwich plain. We were told the chicken wasn't a frozen chicken patty but it sure looked like it was.

Bobs diner is your classic mom and pop diner. Fast and friendly service. My omelet was the best I've had in a long time. Home fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Hot, fresh, filling, all at a good price.

Was on a 13 day road-trip and this was the best diner breakfast we found. Our server was delightful and the food delicious. The ambiance is typical diner that needs a little TLC but that just adds to the charm in my opinion. I had the omelette with hot meat sauce. Quite possibly the best omelette combination ever. Loved it so much we asked for their hot meat sauce recipe. I'm from California but have added this little spot to my top diner list

Visited on a Sunday afternoon while in town for a busy college weekend-I was a bit surprised at the closing time, I believe it was 3:00, but we arrived around 1:30 so we were good. Diner was busy, but we were greeted and seated right away. Restaurant had older decor, but the place was clean. Waitress introduced herself and got us drinks right away, then we ordered our food. I got a hamburger with fries, we split onion rings, and my guest ordered a couple of hot dogs. Food was served quickly, and everything was good. Overall, a good value for the money, and a quick and easy experience. The only strange part was that all employees were wearing masks-No other restaurant I visited in Rochester over the past few weeks had their employees in masks-I'm wondering if this is because the clientele, for the most part, was a little older. To each their own, though! It's just nice to see a warm smile every now and then. I'll likely return if looking for something low key and inexpensive in the future.

If first impressions were everything then Bob's hit a perfect bullseye. Great atmosphere, fair prices and Mind blowing lunch service. The Philly Cheese Steak and steak fries were ON POINT. Moreover, watching the staff go out of their way to assist and make comfortable a wheelchair bound customer was both heart warming and amazingly reafirming that YES Great people still DO exist.

All of the others who didn't measure up." But take heart! All it takes is taking off the glasses and letting its hair down, and suddenly you realize just how attractive and special Railway Station Diner really is! It's the quintessential reliable diner. Above average food. Below average prices. Regulars. A counter. Good service. Quick service. The Mediterranean frittata was wholesome and filling. The ingredients, fresh. It came with roast (up charge for raisin toast, but worth it!). The breakfast sandwich with shred, too, was perfectly proportioned; the crunch of the English muffin and the squish of the sausage balanced each other exactly equally, like Neo and Smith in that third Matrix movie. But the true hidden gem was the muffin. Cut in half and grilled. With sugar crystals! Not too big. Not too small. Not so sweet as to be dessert-like. Just perfectly sweet enough to make you not regret "going savory" by getting the frittata as your main course. Next time you're asked about the best diners around, make sure Railway Station Diner is part of the pantheon.

There is someone just circling constantly with a pot. This is a cash only establishment, so be advised. There is an ATM. We did go at slightly off peak times, since we weren't working those days, but at those times, the restaurant seems to be a favorite of retired men, which is a good sign for a diner! They have a set menu and a specials board that I think changes daily. There's 2 full pages of breakfast, and at least 2 pages of lunch, plus the board. I'm sure you'll find something you like. I had the same thing both visits - a cheese omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was really cheesy, and I liked that it was a 2 egg omelet rather than 3, for me it was just the right size. We also split a piece of the rotating coffee cake, cinnamon walnut that day, and it was good - not too sweet, plenty of cinnamon. The guy had their 2-2-2 combo and was happy with that choice. For both of us, breakfast ran about $35, for 2 entrees and coffee, plus the cake.

All the staff we encountered in 2 dining experiences were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Best part is the food! Truly the star of this little local gem. Their breakfast selections are extensive, generously portioned and our choices were delicious. Again, we came here 2 days in a row. First day, we had omelettes. Western & greek. I had hashbrowns, hubby had home fries. Both were cooked perfectly. Crispy edges, soft & seasoned nicely. The next day, we came with our daughter. She has eggs benedict with side fresh fruit. Platter was huge with so much ham and potatoes with the eggs and Hollandaise, she couldn't finish it. Husband had an amazing special: a fried breakfast wrap with powdered sugar. Inside was everything! Pancake, eggs, sausage, cheese and hashbrowns. I had a bite, it was to die for. I chose the bacon cheeseburger omelette which i also loved. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences. We spent 2.5 hours total at the restaurant. After waiting an excessive amount of time, we watched two tables that arrived at least an hour after us receive their food first. When we politely asked if our ticket might have been missed, we were told those tables ordered before us, which simply wasn't true. We were then told the delay was because burgers take a long time but a nearly two-hour wait for a burger is pretty wild. It took about 25 minutes just for someone to take our drink order, and we were never asked if we wanted additional drinks. We had to flag staff down for everything. No ketchup, no hot sauce, nothing offered. The $30 mimosa flight served in tiny glasses also felt like a complete scam. When the food finally came, two people in our party were served 15-20 minutes before the other two, and the food was cold. One dish had completely raw eggs. When I let the server know I couldn't eat it, she came back and removed the meal from the bill, which was appreciated. However, the interaction itself felt tense and dismissive, which made an already frustrating experience worse. They did give us a round of breakfast shots to try to help pass the time which was appreciated. The food itself was disappointing overall. The breakfast burrito was basically all eggs with raw, bitter avocado, and my husband's burger was missing requested toppings. We also noticed food sitting in the service window while we continued waiting. The only person who was happy with their meal got the biggie fries an it was hot when it arrived. To make matters worse, the bathroom was unheated on an 18° day (feels like 2°) and not clean. We're a pretty chill, patient group and understand that kitchens get backed up but man, this experience completely missed the mark. Ironically, the cooks thanked us for our patience and servers said goodbye pleasantly on the way out. We honestly may have let a lot of this go if the service hadn't felt so dismissive when we calmly raised concerns.
