My husband and I had lunch after church with two friends. We were promptly seated. The waitress brought a high chair that securely held our infant seat. Though they were busy the waitress listened patiently for our menu questions in our first time there. I asked my friend to try my scrambled eggs and French toast. They were unusually tasty. Bob's Diner has now become our go to place on Sundays. read more

Stopped in today. Very outdated booths with only 3 tables. Because of covid they wouldn't seat us at a table even though two of the tables had people at them just as close as the third table. Did not feel welcome. Also instead of an online or paper menu they expected you take pictures of one menu opened up on a chair... This place definitely needs an update badly. read more

I was craving a diner breakfast when I stumbled upon Bob's Diner today. The diner was quite full, but we were seated quickly. Bonus: Lots of booths for a comfortable diner experience! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The food came quickly and was hot and delicious. I ordered well-done home fries and they were nice and crispy, and my omelette was cheesy and delicious. Overall, Bob's is a great classic diner with great service! read more

Bob's Diner - Bacon/cheese omelette and well-done home fries. Yum! - Diners Near Me - Rochester, New York

Very good food with fast service. We both got bacon as part of our meals and got perfectly cooked bacon in large quantities that we finished in no time at all. Very good price for amount of food. read more

Have been a steady customer for several years now but that all ends today. Unfortunately our Server K____ took an already bad situation and made it worse. I tried to eat the meal she put in front of me but after a few minutes knew I just couldn't eat it. I explained to her what my issue was and she told me, " don't worry, you're not the first person to complain about this particular meal". She took my plate and tossed the rest of my meal in the garbage per my request. #1- if you've already had complaints about this meal why didn't you mention it to me? Or discuss with the kitchen staff so that they could remedy the problem before putting it back on the menu? #2- why didn't you adjust the bill but still charge me full price even though it was you yourself who tossed it out? Only after I complained to the very nice guy at the register did she decide to take $5 off the bill. But she was so loud & rude about it almost every customer in the restaurant could hear her. A problem, that was their fault, could have been handled much more professionally & kindly! She unfortunately added insult to injury and is the reason my friend & I have decided to purchase our future meals at other nearby diners/restaurants. read more

Great FAST service. We had our food in under ten minutes. Hearty breakfast, very filling. Hash browns were so crisp and delicious. Biscuits and gravy was a little too salty. Overall really good! read more

Let me tell you something about Bobs Diner: the foods delicious, the drinks will kick your tongue back, and the waitresses are hilarious with wonderful outgoing personalities. The waitresses make myself and my Pops feel like we are part of the family, cracking jokes, keeping our coffee filled to the rim, and making sure we have every necessity available to compliment the tasty, fresh, classic diner food that only Bobs could provide. My father and I eat here on the weekends, and we both will order breakfast. Sometimes I will order the steak sandwich. Both choices are delicious. Bobs is clean, the service is fast and top notch, and prices are great. Go Bobs! read more

The staff is warm and welcoming. The food is always delicious. Prices are very reasonable.

Classic diner type restaurant....no frills but great food, service and prices. My daughter is a college student and when we come to visit this is the place for breakfast. The servers and hostesses are the nicest people. Service is quick considering the traffic here on weekend mornings. You don't find places like this anymore. I recommend Bobs breakfast sandwich if you're on the go. Otherwise everything we've ever had to eat has been great. read more

This is another one of those "epitome of a diner stereotype places". Cheap, greasy food, and full of regulars. Both the hostess and server were pleasant, and our food came out pretty quick. I ordered a cup coffee mid-meal, and was shocked when it got delivered to our table pretty much instantly. When it came time to pay, we didn't have to wait for the bill either. I knew going in to expect greasy food, but my meal seemed to be a little bit over the top. My friend got what was supposed to be "fresh" blueberry pancakes, they came over and didn't really appear to be that way. They were tasty though. It was also cool seeing the waitress flit around and talk to people like they were old friends, asking how their weekends were and such. I also saw, on more than one occasion, her bring over drinks and the paper to a woman the instant that she sat down. It's really nice to see businesses that truly seem to appreciate their customers and get to know them. If you're looking for a cheap meal and a comfortable, casual atmosphere, this is the place to go. read more

Good food reasonable prices. I really like the way Dave makes my scrambled eggs and western omelets. The waitress was very good, pleasant and attentive. There is plenty of free parking. I have made this my go to breakfast place. read more

I love Bob's! Great & fast service and the food always tastes great! The employees are also very friendly! Highly recommend :)

I was in the mood for the "diner" breakfast meal. Found this place as I overlooked many time till my love one mentioned about this place. I ordered 3 pancakes with bacon and wheat toasted. They were heaven and warm freshly. Not even expensive at all!! Under 20 buck included my love one bacon and turkey L and T sandwich and ff! That place is really recommended!! read more

I stopped by and sat at the bar to grab a quick breakfast while running errands. I told my girlfriend it's the best breakfast place in the area. She asked why (lol): The portion was generous The price was very reasonable The food was cooked just right The food came out piping hot The waitress was friendly Their hash browns were done right! Can't ask for much more. I'll be back. read more

My Mom and Stepfather order takeout from Bob's Diner on a fairly regular basis. As a result, I have had several Bob's meals. There biggest appeal is probably their reasonable pricing. The food is expected diner quality, at average to larger portions. The staff is patient and seasoned, answering any and all questions with little fuss. The Friday Fish Fry is quite tasty, as well their hamburger. I tried their prime rib once, and thought it adequate. At the time of this review they only accept cash, which is a difficulty for those of us who live off plastic. Food is prepared quickly: for pickup they are ready usually in less than ten minutes. You will not find iphone or ipod users inside the restaurant. It caters to a more geriatric clientele. However, it's a locally-owned diner, that serves traditional diner fare at good prices. read more

Phenomenal food. Staff is fantastic. Very accommodating for our large group that showed up without much advanced notice. If you miss this place it's your own fault. We will be back when we are in the area again soon. read more

Food here is excellent. Super fab. Waiter was nice. Price was good. One suggestion to make this ultimate fab. The cheese should be shredded rather than a giant slice of kraft cheese. It's still super delicious but it would be better with shredded cheese and more milky. I will come back again with my dates and mates. read more

I come here when I'm looking for something simple and comfortable. I love the great diner atmosphere, and the waitstaff is lovely! The food is consistently good and a great deal. They serve generous portions, but not over-the-top, so you can finish your food without feeling stuffed, or bring some home for leftovers. I love talking to the waitresses, and being treated like an old friend. The booths are neat and clean, and I always look forward to seeing what kind of decorations they have up. This is a very homey and comfortable diner! read more

Just passing through. Checked yelp for recommendations and since just 4 stars, almost passed. OMG that would have been a big mistake! Eggs Benedict were PERFECT! Home fries with extra onions were delicious. The waitress was super bubbly. Bonus! This one is a winner. read more

Horrible service horrible management horrible food. Why would a restaurant lather your bagel in butter when you ask for cream cheese and then say it is your fault for as k ing for no butter? I didn't ask for butter, I asked for cream cheese. Strike 1. The home fries are loaded with butter and a cheese lite substance and burnt. Strike 2. The breakfast sandwich is no thicker than a napkin with burnt fried eggs and so skimpy they make a McDonald's value menu breakfast sandwich look big. Strike 3. When I return a meal don't try to charge me for it anyway and expect me to pay for it and argue with me that it was a great looking sandwich. Arguing with a customer is a great idea when you served them trash. And what animal did you use for your bacon? Rat? read more

My favorite diner. Love that the staff remember you and make it a very personal experiance. Usually we always go for breakfast and it's consistently great. Love the hash and eggs Benedict. It's your typical diner feel could use a little tlc and updating. But looks aren't everything. Give them a try! read more

Breakfast is hard to mess up. They did it. Toast was soggy yet had burnt tips. Eggs were way too runny. Sausage was not very good. Potatoes were ok. read more

I love this place. GREAT breakfast food at a GREAT price. The waitstaff is fast and friendly. Bob's reminds me of the time you could expect wonderful service and wonderful food from your locally owned diner. I go here often, you should too, and don't forget to tip well! read more

Avoid This Place Waited over 40 minutes from time of order and NEVER got our food (BLT and kids chicken tenders). Went up to the cash register to pay for our drinks and was told our food had just come up. We sat back down and then were told at least another 5 minutes. So I guess they lied when they said our food was ready and about to be brought to our table just to bet us to stay. It seems like they never put in our order but wouldn't admit it. No apologies were offered to us at any point. The waitress got rude and insulting when we got up to leave the second time. She insisted 5 minutes was not too long to wait. Except that we had just waited over 40 minutes and been told our food was going to be served right then. So, yes, too long to sit and wait to be lied to. The cashier didn't even know the price of a juice and a soda. She couldn't find it on the menu either. I asked to speak to the owner or manager because it was getting ridiculous and was told our waitress was the owner. I didn't want to speak to her again since she was so rude. But it didn't seem she wanted to walk over to speak to us either. She was too busy standing by the kitchen complaining to others about us. The cashier was laughing at us and made fun of us to other customers as we left. We've eaten there a few times before. The food is only passable. Never had a great experience there but this one was epically horrible. So definitely not worth waiting over 40 minutes from time of order only to have to leave to go somewhere else to actually get some food. Skip this place and have a much better experience at one of the many other eateries in the area. read more

Love eating @ Bobs Diner, food was amazing as usual but I miss the regualr servers, Lisa and her sister! They always make u feel at home!

Always sit in Dawn's section!! She is amazing and friendly. My 10 year old loves to tell her " I'll have the usual".

There is a White waitress ,she was so rude ,and racist! This place rocks. A bit dated but it's a typical diner and I w ouldnt have it any other way. Food is so good. It comes out fast and perfect every time. And it's very affordable. Bob's is one of the last true diners around. So much food for a very tiny price. Service is always great...same few servers for years and they know every order of every person by heart. Great coffee, not weak like most diners. Sausage gravy and biscuit special is out of this world. Highly recommended. read more

Tried this spot for the first time today! First off I absolutely do not go to diners!! It is strictly my preference just not to. Nonetheless, I tried!! I ordered 3 meals for myself and 2 other coworkers. Myself and another coworker do not eat pork so we ordered 3 "Farmed Fresh" combos two without meat, very reasonably priced! Picked up the orders.. all went smooth! As a former server myself I always check my meals before leaving but just did not this time, mistake! One of the combos was incorrect and had pork sausage in it. Called to have a new order made and that's where I had to keep my cool! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! An quite aggressive couldn't tell u who I spoke with but it definitely was not the original host who was very pleasant, patient and kind. Whoever took over the call.. please know I could have been a total ass right back. A very big pain but I chose not to!! Your aggravated spirit was so unnecessary and pointless. The food was paid for and I actually enjoyed every bit of it!! You weren't putting any gas into the back and forth...why such a big attitude so early in the morning?? Anyway, The young lady who took the original order.. no need to be apologetic your services was stellar!!! Keep being in example for your coworkers!!! My rating is a reflection of the poor service I received from only one unknown individual! read more

The best pancakes around! The service is quick and the omlettes address great too! You can tell everything of made from scratch. And butter flows generously on the cakes! They are huge and fluffy and delicious!! (If you don't like butter, you must be dead!) I love BOB'S. It's the only place for a real homecooked breakfast. You really get your money's worth! read more
