I was in the area when i heard about a new tea shop that just opened up with boiling point. "Jin tea" I heard people murmur. "Interesting name", I thought to myself.
I was familiar with the name "Jin". A great name if you ask me. I often find things with that name to be quite amazing. Things like Jin Ramen and even Jin from BTS, such a fitting name for a truly great instant noodle and a talented person. I thought that maybe Jin Tea would be on par to the other Jins.
I arrived on a Friday evening after a brutal argument I had with my dog about how she wanted to go on a walk, but I needed to go study. I ended up walking her for a bit if you were wondering. Anyway, I walked into the shop and I was immediately taken away by the pretty decor around the room. Unfortunately, being there for the first time, I was beyond lost of where the location of the menu was. I asked the kind barista in front of me "what drink would you recommend?". She asked "do you prefer milky, creamy, sweet, etc.?". That one question made me freeze. Hm, what do I like? I was in a deep wonder from what felt like minutes was actually a couple seconds as I finally replied with, "im fine with anything tbh". The barista then directs my attention to the menu screens on my left, "well, we are known for our specialty drinks, I would recommend the Love Potion...".
Oh. My. Goodness. I was a fool for not knowing the menu was right next to me. The barista must've thought i was trying to waste her time right before they closed up shop! IT WAS ON THE EDGE OF MY PERIPHERAL VISION THIS WHOLE TIME!
Luckily she didnt notice me realizing my mistake. I hope so. "oh that looks good! I'll have that then", I said as $8 exits my bank account when my credit card makes contact with the machine.
The room was nice. It was well lit , and had a standing table to put your drinks on for your social media pics. My order was called out by another barista. I picked up my drink and left the building. The drink was in a cool bottle. It reminded me of the good old days when roasting waters sold their drinks in their own cute bottles.
Anyway, love potion was good. Simple and fragrant, and had passion fruit seeds for texture . Nicely done Jin Tea. Youre now qualified to be on my list of Jins. read more
