both father and son are deceiving and deceptive. they don't take care of their employee's so how can we as customers expect them to take care of us!!!! For being a preacher, the son, he doesn't treat people like Jesus would. They paved the road where i live and within 3 weeks the black top was coming apart. Now there are big holes in the road. and my wife was hurt falling in their office and they still haven't responded back with the workman's comp claim number. so now its all being turned over to my lawyer. beware of a man claiming to be a man of God but is more concerned about the dollar God!!!! read more

My son recently had his long driveway resurfaced with 1.5 to 2" of asphalt by Jim's. I had the opportunity to be there the whole time they worked there. I have to say I was very impressed by how hard they worked both individually and collectively as a Team.  There were a minimum of 6 guys working and at one time there were 8. They did a great job and Jim Jr. was stellar in his communication both before and after the job.  Jim's is also very reasonable from a cost standpoint as well. Highly recommend this company!! We had a large part of our horse farm driveway paved, and a part of our circular driveway fixed... Jim and his team did an amazing job!! Came in with a good first quote, even included a discount due to the large job that I didn't have to negotiate, communicated changes well, FIVE STAR JOB!! Beware. Deceptive. I Just had my driveway repaved by Jim's Paving. When I spoke with Jim Jr., the owner, I asked him explicitly if there was a fee for paying via credit card. He said "No." They came and did the job and he went to charge my credit card and told me that there's a $100+ fee. I reminded him that he told me there wasn't a credit card fee and he told me that they don't charge a fee but the service he uses does. When I told him that he was deceptive he turned into a hot head and starting yelling and making a scene outside my house. He claimed he didn't know a fee would be charged by his merchant provider. Come on, he's the owner of the company and doesn't know something like that? If you decide to use this guy, be careful in your dealings with him and get everything in writing. read more

Unfortunately we can't recommend this company, run by a hothead named Jim Jr. We hired them to install a circle driveway for almost 9k. After their crew left we discovered that the circle was too small for even a standard size coupe to make the roundabout without driving on the grass. We called them back to let them know, and see about correcting this. Although we were disappointed that this wasn't addressed the first time, we fully expected there would be an additional cost involved to send out another crew. Jim Jr was very gruff when he came out to remeasure. And then the next day when we were discussing the new estimate for another 2750 the rudeness came out. He blamed the too small driveway on us. I explained that my parents were visiting with a smaller rental car and weren't even able to make the turn. To my shock he replied that old people can't drive well and that's why they couldn't make the roundabout. He said he's been in business for 30 years and doesn't need my business. You wouldn't know it based on how condescending, arrogant, and rude he is - would never recommend this company. read more

Got a quote from this company, and seem to be like we're moving forward on the project. However, after they showed me the estimate I didn't hear back from them in over two weeks. When I asked The owners son about it he told me that my project wasn't a priority and that he would schedule me as soon as he could. I would recommend that if your project is on the lower tier of the price range to find another paving company. read more

We had them blacktop our driveway and they did the next door neighbor's too. They did a beautiful job. We have a stone wall adjoining the driveway and they did not get any tar on the stones at all. We have our mailbox between us and after a quick request, they offered to blacktop along the road around the mailbox garden. Everything looks nice and the employee (I'm really sorry I forget his name) was really nice and accommodating. Good fair pricing too. Payment was easy over the phone and the receipt was emailed to me. Perfect! Couldn't ask for more. read more

We had our driveway repaved last month. It took Jim almost 2 months to get to us although we had given them a 50% deposit in advance. The job, finally finished is fine, however it's been a month and they have yet to come back to put the flower boxes back as promised. I would almost give them a 4 star, but the one box is blocking a sidewalk and the other is blocking our storage shed! Not happy read more

We used Jim's to expand our driveway and coat our old. It looks great and the price was fair. Jim Jr was up front with us and told us it would be about two months before they could get the project done. They came a month earlier than I was expecting which was great. They let us know ahead of time. The wait was not an issue. We have a fence put in that was 7 weeks out and stamped concrete that was 5 weeks I think people forget that summer is a busy time for projects like this. We are very happy and will use them again when it's time to coat the driveway again. read more

I just had my driveway repaved and it looks fantastic! The men were all very professional and took the time to answer questions and consult with me. The worksite was very neat. They were even able to fit my job in earlier than estimated! I'm not sure why other reviewers had issues. But they were great! I highly recommend them. read more

I needed to get a patch done in my driveway and seal the entire driveway. Out of four companies, Jim's paving had the best price at just over $1,200. Someone came out in July of 2015 and said they were really backed up, but can have it done by October 2015. I was told someone would contact me in September to set a date. When I didn't hear anything in September, I called the company on two different occasions in October, left messages with their answering service rep, and was told they would call me back. I never heard from them at all, and it's been almost a year since they came out. Absolutely horrible customer service. I guess if I were making them more money, let's say on an entire driveway repave, I may have been taken more seriously. I have since moved, so I don't even care anymore, but fair warning if you plan on going with them. Customer service to me is everything, and apparently you can't GIVE away money these days. Many friends of mine who are looking for pave work, I have informed to stay away from Jim's Paving. It's a shame, because they had the best price out of three of their competitors, but I would rather pay a premium and know that I (as well as the job) is taken seriously and done right. read more

I will post positive reviews about businesses when they deserve it. Along the same lines, I will post negative reviews if a business fails to uphold their end of the contract. To that end, it should be noted that Jim's Paving is not the customer service, family business he touts. When he paved my driveway, he sloped the edges and paved right up to the edge of the garage floor so that the rain water ran into my garage and ruined the expoxy flooring I had paid another contractor to install. I have been calling him since the spring to come out and fix this and he promised for months that he would be at my home in August. August came and went and when I called again, this time he was quite rude. I will pursue this legally, but I want everyone who knows me to be careful and consider other options. read more

I filled out forms in April 2015 with my neighbors to get my driveway paved in May of 2015 and by doing so they said they will give a discount for the whole block to get their driveways done. You pay for the full amount and Jim Junior specifically said we would receive money back for the discount. They didn't come out to do our driveway until the end of August 2015. Also it is now March of 2016 and I still haven't received my discount money back. Jim Jr. keeps promising me that he will drop off a check and after all this time he still has not. I would not recommend them to anyone. It is a shame that this happened to us and hopefully as you read this you won't make the same mistake too. We got Jim 's to do our driveway ,had to come back and relay more black top due to the sink holes,and now our water drains right in front of our garage door,tar all over the place ,on our patio in our garage ,dirty hand prints on our white siding,they never came back to see if the job was done right ,or to see if you were satisfied ,they just take your money and slam the job down read more

Don't use Jim's Paving for residential driveway sealing. They do poor quality work and leave you with a mess.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE, 0 STARS, POOR QUALITY, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, WASTED A LOT OF MONEY- Katie and I bought a home in 2014 which had a gravel driveway on a fairly steep incline. After one year of use the driveway had large ruts and a large amount of vegetation growing through it. We were eager to get a new driveway put in before winter of 2015. Jim's paving was the only business that had an opening before winter so we decided to go ahead with the work. When Jim jr. came out to do the quote he indicated it would be an easy job. They would just add stone on top of the original base and put weed killer down where needed. I was concerned this would wouldn't be sufficient and I thought the base needed to be torn out and the driveway completed from scratch. He assured me there would be no issues, I trusted him as a professional. I did feel the quote was very steep($$) for not doing a full tear out but like I said we were eager to get it done, he assured me, and it came with a warranty. We were concerned from the day it was done. Noticeable irregularities/ blemishes, edges of the driveway seemed poor. In some places not straight where the edges should be, in other places instead of a smooth tapered lines we have irregular/choppy/not smooth lines. Tar was left on the man door close to the driveway (we can not get it off)! No ribbon was placed across the end driveway to keep people off. I guess one of the workers was more concerned about taking a bike out with the trash when he thought no one was looking.... ONLY 3 WEEKS after the driveway was completed I had weeds and grass growing through the driveway. We called immediately and left a message for Jim with the receptionist/scheduler. Our call was never returned. We called again in about a month, no return call. By this time along the edge of the driveway there is roughly ten foot section crumbling and it looks like the base is washing out from under the driveway! One more call was placed before winter and this time we actually received a response, We were told they would contact us in April when business starts back up. Guess what? No call... More calls were placed throughout the summer with no progress made. Jim's Paving never reached out to us until a complaint was filed with the BBB. After the BBB complaint they promised they would be out to fix all the issues and include free driveway seal for our trouble by the end of September (They made sure to mention it was not there fault the edge of the driveway is crumbling) . It is now the middle of October and the say it will be done by the end of the month.... My parents driveway is 17 years old and it is in better shape than my 1 year old driveway. We finally had someone out today to look at it, in his professional opinion it's common for 1 year old driveways to be crumbling on the edges and riddled with vegetation, REALLY??? THIS WAS OUR EXPERIENCE, I HOPE OTHERS WILL SEE THIS WARNING AND MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION. I REGRET MINE. read more
