I contacted the roofer about the problem and was told that he would take care of the necessary repairs, but only if I removed my negative Yelp review. I relied on that promise, removed the review, and he subsequently repaired only one portion of the roof and stopped responding regarding the remaining damage. Because the damage could not be resolved through the roofer, I ultimately had to file a claim through my homeowners insurance and have the resulting repairs addressed through insurance. My insurance company attempted to pursue subrogation against the roofer but was unable to do so; I was informed that he did not have insurance available to cover the claim and that he did not respond to their attempts to contact him. I am now experiencing dampness in another area of the home whenever it rains and have been trying for months to get the roofer to come back and investigate the problem. Despite repeated attempts to contact him, I have not received a response. My experience was not simply that I was unhappy with the workmanship. I was left dealing with substantial water damage, extensive repairs, an insurance claim, and an unresolved moisture problem after the contractor stopped communicating with me. I am posting this review so other homeowners can make an informed decision before hiring this contractor. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing, verifying the contractor's Pennsylvania registration and insurance, and not relying on verbal promises to correct problems after the work is completed.

American Window undercut the estimates of the other two vendors by a substantial margin. We also really liked they only asked for a modest down payment. Jay was our sales contact at American Windows and he was absolutely great. He has an engaging personality, and kept all his commitments to us. We appreciated that when installation day came, he swung by to ensure all was going well. Oh, how did the installation go? It was fantastic.
