The main things I was looking for other than pricing for estimates for a complete roof replacement was communication and Joyland absolutely came through on that. I had used this company in the past for a roof repair or two, and called again when it was time to just replace the whole thing. The price was highest of my 4 estimates I received but not by much, and after going over what was offered for pricing from each company, they were the best choice. They responded with an estimate quickly (2 days or so) but it was also not only a sheet of paper with job information, but also a comprehensive video via email that actually made me feel like I knew what they were going to be doing whereas the other companies only gave me a sheet of paper with a breakdown of material/work. This was also the other main reason I chose this company because it not only helped me understand what was really going to be done on the roof, but it helped me comprehend the different languages used for work/material from other company's paper estimates I needed to compare to eachother. I then chose Joyland since the work they outlined was a bit more extensive than just replacing the roof (adding/replacing flashing, etc) and all in all they were the best price for the work being done. They honored a bonus after I was a few days late for signing by a specific date because I was held up from getting responses from other companies, which was also nice of them. I was scheduled about 5 weeks out and when the date came around there were no delays and done within a day and a half of their estimated 2-3 (property is about 860sqft). The work was done efficiently, crew was kind and respectful, and they cleaned up wonderfully. They made the whole process simple and efficient, I definitely recommend them for both replacement and repairs as I will be using them again for such in the future. They also advised and referred me to a masonry company to repair a part of my chimney that could cause leak issues. I used their referred company and they were wonderful too. FYI- My property is located in Harrisburg City which requires a special licensing to work on roofs. Joyland is a licensed company in the city and will do the work with the city for permits for you for a fee, which is super helpful. read more

Contacted Joyland Roofing in Elizabethtown for the hail damage on our shared roof which was covered by insurance for repair. Spoke with Jason who is vey polite and really helpful and responsive. We were scheduled within 3 weeks to completely replace our roof. The job was done in 1 day with clean up. In addition the crew came back a couple of days later to do another magnetic swerep for any nails or metal fasteners. I'm not saying they picked up every single piece of tiny plastic but they successfully picked up about 99%. The best part about these is that workers were very polite and there was absolutely zero loud music playing that would disturb the neighbors. Several of our neighbors had their roofs replaced and the music from their radios could be heard throughout the neighborhood. These other companies employ individuals that have no respect for the dwellers or near by neighbors. Thank you Joyland and thank you Jason. I needed to have a relatively large porch roof replaced. I decided to replace it with metal, which turned out to be a good decision. Everything went great and very smoothly from the initial estimate to the final completion of the job. There were no problems whatsoever. I initially had some concerns about how they would handle the flashing between the roof and the main structure (a manufactured home), but they had already considered the potential problems and developed a plan to handle them. The crew that did the job was very friendly, competent, and professional. Their cleanup after the job completion was so thorough with everything being put back in place exactly where they found it that I would not even know they were there if there wasn't for the fact that a new roof had appeared on the porch. I had the most wonderful experience with Joyland Roofing! From start to finish they were so helpful and professional. Jason is the best! I got 4 estimates and he was the only one to address the masonry work where the shingles needed to be removed around my chimney and the overhang against the stone face of my house. He was also the only one to come inside and look in my attic. He was patient with me in choosing a color and made a second trip to show me more samples. The price was right in the middle of my other estimates but much lower than the highest estimate. And none of the other estimates included the masonry work. Out of 7 companies, Joyland was the only company willing to come out to take a look at our mystery leak at our townhouse. A small leak appeared only twice in approx 10 years when it would rain hard with strong winds... on the 2nd floor of our 3rd floor townhouse. Zach came to the townhouse today and looked over the entire roof for approx an hour - inside and out. He did a basic leak test with water and even looked up inside the ceiling (I asked if he could cut a hole in the ceiling to try and see the source of the mystery leak). Had my roof shingles, venting and gutters replaced by Joyland Roofing. They offered a great 50 year warrantee on roof/shingles and 25 year warrantee on workmanship. During the installation process, there were a few problems, but thanks to Joyland Roofing's, Jason Martin, everything worked out near perfect. Originally, I was having some special problems with rainwater leaking in strange places. They seem to appear after I got Leaf Filters installed. I saw Joyland Roofing on WGAL-TV resolving attic moisture problems. So, I called. Jason came out and inspected my roof and gutters. We worked out a plan with what he found and couldn't find. We just finished our 3rd Bid job with Joyland over a 3 year period. First was the shingled roof and skylights. They figured out a leak that has plagued us since we bought the house. Next was a flat roof over the garage. Took their time for the estimate-but that's one of the things we love about them. It cuts down on surprises and cost overruns. Last a metal soffit and fascia project to defeat the carpenter bees and woodpeckers attacking the cedar. With a redo of a cedar balcony too. All the Joyland workers have been great. Took a while to get an appointment, but chris from joyland was really nice. I wasn't looking for a roof estimate but wanted someone to look at my siding/leaking windows. He gave us exterior advice on what he would do for his own home (what he thought was necessary/ cosmetic). He caulked a crack where our brick foundation meets the concrete floor, termite holes an exterminator left behind, and a siding hole in our ac pipe. He also caulked our sliding door wooden frame and cut/removed some old wires while he was there. He did all that really quickly, and surprisingly, he didn't even charge for it. We bought our house from someone who went to great lengths to disguise roof problems while selling. A few months after moving in, we had leaks everywhere. Joyland did a great job of replacing a leaking Skylight in my 2nd floor bathroom. The installer (Bronson) was polite and very professional. He taped and used plastic in the bathroom to make sure it would catch any falling dirt to keep it clean.
