Had a leak in my ridge vent and called Hackman SmartRoof. They sent over a person right away who inspected the total roof and showed me pictures of what he found and gave me a quote. As soon as the weather cleared I got a call telling me they were on their way. The replaced the leaking vent ridge and made a few other repairs and was on their way. It was fully explained what was needed before and when the work was completed what had been done. Totally recommend you call them if you have a roof problem. read more

When we purchased our home close to 30 yrs. ago, we noticed our roof was not so attractive and informed it was "about 20 yrs. old" We were blessed to not suffer any leaks or damages all those years but were dreading the day all homeowners must face: Replacement. With all the hype out there on "lifetime metal" roofs, we nearly made an expensive decision! However, one thing we did right was look locally for family-owned/operated roofers with experience. Clint from Hackman Smartroof truly lives up to the company "name" as he educated us on the tremendous cost savings of a traditional shingle over metal without sacrificing the lifetime warranty! He even took the time to go up into our crawl space and gave a "worst case scenario" should any of the lumber need replaced (our actual expense was only $70 over vs. the $200-300 he buffered in). How many companies can say that? It was obvious that Clint and company have the roofing/spouting business "joy" from Marnie in the office to the roofing AND spouting installers, it was very pleasant and unruffled from start to finish. The roof and spouting were both completed inside one day JUST before the rain storm the next day and NOT one single plant or lawn decoration was marred in the process. Again, what business can make that claim? We found them to be everything they claim to be...honest, thorough, polite, friendly, efficient and professional. To say that this was the best decision we made in a very long while is putting it mildly. The new roof (we went with Clint's recommendation and it IS the RIGHT color schematic for our home!) I don't do many reviews, but this company deserves some notice! I needed a minor roof repair for a leak/plywood repair in the garage and wanted to replace all my ridge venting. I called four roofers after examining websites and trying to find references. Hackman got back to me quickly, and their receptionist/scheduler was on her game with answers and prompt call backs, and she kept me informed during estimating and during execution. Someone has trained her well. This seems simple but if you think it's routine you haven't called too many places for service. The estimator was knowledgeable, personable, climbed on the roof to investigate, and answered all my questions clearly. He also priced my job off a laminated 'price list' which made me feel like I got the same price as others did and no one was taking advantage of my situation. That's got to be unique. (PS: I got a call back from two of the four roofers after Hackman had started the actual job, 3 weeks (or more) after the request for quote. How responsive would those places be if you had a warranty problem? Will they be in business to service the warranty?) The installation crew was timely, efficient, and cleaned up well after the work was completed. They also answered my questions and knew their business. Subsequent to the job I got a survey form looking for feedback and recommendations. Nice! People will often tell you more in writing afterward than to your face during the job so I like this approach too. I've heard roofer horror stories, people taking deposits and not calling back, poor workmanship, ancillary damage to gutters while repairing the roof, etc. It is my pleasure to write this review and I actually inquired how I might spread the word. Just had our roof replaced by this company and can't say enough good things. From the first phone call to the last inspection after everything was finished.
