Met a friend here today. This may the best value in a restaurant in the area. Breakfast food was very good quality. My scrambled eggs were done perfectly, and the eggs were good quality. Love Jim's! Food is consistently stellar, and we tend to go during weekend morning rushes. Highly recommend the Southern Special or anything with Hollandaise sauce for breakfast. Once you go to Jim's, you'll never go anywhere else. It's such a family environment, not to mention that the prices are great. The owners, a woman and her two daughters, run the show. This was our first visit to their new home. Having visited Jim's at their old location we wanted to see why it appeared to be so crowded. First, the staff is friendly and the prices inexpensive. However, the place is not really "quaint" as previously reviewed, the food okay and the coffee, typically diner, missing that extra scoop of grind that would add the flavor and body that was lacking. Bottom line: you want a simple meal, served quickly and at a good price, this is the place for you. If you would like a bit more, there are other choices in DT Rochester not too far away. read more

OMG. What a find! Highly highly highly recommend this place! They only take cash, so be prepared for that. I ordered the pancakes which were the BEST pancakes I have ever eaten in my life. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food tremendously. The staff there was superb! Friendly, attentive and fast! The owner was chatting it up with many customers, including us. She was interested in knowing where we were from and why we were in Rochester...she was very engaging! Overall a great experience. read more

I've been going to Jim's for years and have never had a bad experience. Elena that blessed Greek food Goddess who owns and operates Jim's goes out of her way to make you feel at home and part of the ambience that makes Jim's so easy to enjoy. Thursday's have always been great because of their London Broil, best I've ever had in the ROC. Breakfast is severed fresh and your cup of coffee never sees the bottom.
