Clam cakes, stuffy's, New England clam chowder and lobster bisque for lunch.

Gave this a 4 star rating! I would've given a 3.5 but close enough... My brother-in-law and I stopped there for lunch, because the other major hotspot, was too busy. We ordered Clam cakes, stuffy's, New England clam chowder and lobster bisque for lunch.

Wow! Perfect evening! Friday night dinner was awesome. Fried clams and scallops (yes....scaaaalllooops....) were great! Service with our waitress Emma even better! Jim's Dock nailed it from the moment we arrived thru dessert! We will be back for sure!

    Inside.

5 stars for a wonderful experience, ambiance, hard working and the nicest employees. NE clam chowder was hot and tasty. Swordfish dinner with rice and green beans was fresh, hot and delicious. Swordfish taco special was excellent! We can't wait to go back.

If you are in the South County / Point Judith / Galilee area, Jim's Dock is a seafood option on the water. It's a place to relax and to order grilled scallops, mussels and fish & chips. The convenient location of Jim's Dock makes it easy to reach by car. If you want to experience fast service, you should go to this place. Our waitress Anna was a delight, very - sweet and very attentive. A nice asset to the restaurant. - Fish and Chips - The fish was nicely fried and brown, but the overall flavor profile was bland...... the fries were not crispy at all, they were mushy and flat...not good at all........tasted and looked like the ones you would get in a cheap supermarket frozen food aisle. Other reviews from recent guests corroborate my feedback on the POOR QUALITY OF THE FRIES. Bad decision from their management to go with the CHEAP ones....To save a few pennies per plate with cheaper fries.....you have lost tons of customers.....Both of the plates with fries on our table left most of them un-eaten.... - Fluke sandwich - Again the fish was nicely fried, but the fries were not crispy. Really poor fries....Horrible fries.... - Mahi Mahi tacos - Fish pieces were nicely seasoned, but barely not veggies, no lettuce, no shredded veggies at all.. It was ok. Not sure I would bring my friends back here again....based on that poor food quality....maybe that's why the restaurant was not even busy...there were maybe 5 customer tables out of 20+ during a peak lunch hour time on a Saturday....I guess locals agree with my review...the place has lost its quality standard.

This was the worst customer service i've ever experienced. the owner is HORRIBLE literally the most miserable woman i've ever met. We got there at 11am because that's when it opened online, and as we're ordering the food with a really nice employee, the owner LANA interrupts us and says "they're not getting anything we're not open until 11:30" so i said oh it said online it was 11 and she says "online lied". um okay?? just rude for no reason as if i'm not putting money in ur pockets. anyway we were offered by the employee to put it our orders and then pick them up later and we were like okay so we came back at 11:45 cus why would food take more than 15 minutes... the food didn't come out until 12:15. r u serious? we started to walk in to pay and the owner yelled at us to get out... WHAT?? I THOUGHT U WERE OPEN ?? she told us we had to wait outside... huh? we talked to the hosts at the stand, 2 young teens and they APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR BOSS FOR BEING SO RUDE AND TOLD US THEYVE BEEN WORKINF HERE FOR A MONTH AND HAVENT BEEN PAYED... LUCKY IF I DONT CALL WHOEVER HANDLES THAT. just the craziest experience with this woman honestly. jim's dock changed owners and went straight to hell. i would talk about the ambiance but we weren't allowed in so haha nope.

Solid local fish, simply prepared. BYOB is a nice plus. Typically long wait but worth the wait. Bring a cocktail and enjoy the Ambiance

Buster Krab's with a K is definitely one of those coastal town American restaurants that do well with vibes and big groups but leaves a lot to be desired. I did love the kitschy-ness of the restaurant -- the logo was for sure made in Microsoft Word. What I really appreciated about the place was the waitress was able to do individual bills for 12 people which is a feet and of itself so kudos to the team that work there. Trust me it was not me that asked for individual bills, I would never do that. I got a spicy margarita that was alarmingly neon, green and so strong. The lobster roll that was $30 was really average. Overall, nothing super special but a typical coastal town restaurant. Service was superior though.

Here the lobster roll was a great size and very filling it was also super delicious. I also got the fish and chips and it was also very good and filling. The service was pretty good I got seated right away and the server was attentive and food came out quick. The ambience of the place is nice cause you have outside seating with views of the boats and places around. Definitely will come back for that lobster roll.

On a Friday morning around 9, there were a few folks waiting for tables/booths. Luckily there's a counter space with about 10 stools and we were able to snag two spots. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. They offered us a lovely couple of bites of cranberry cake, gratis. Everything on the menu looks fantastic. I ordered the famous hash omelet (huge, so, so good) and it comes with your choice of two sides. I apologize for not knowing what all of the options were but I opted for home fries and toast (another choice was baked beans, I remember that one). My wife had the Supreme omelet which came with a meat, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. It was also huge and delicious. While we were sitting at the counter chatting up a local, she mentioned that Oatley's had just won the local Community Choice award. I can see why. One other thing to mention is their bread. I don't know what they offer in particular but a woman came in, asked "how many do you have left" and they said "one". She took it. It was a nice, homemade loaf of raisin bread for about $7. I think she would've bought 5 if she could. I think everyone who likes breakfast would like Oatley's II.

Upon our 5:30 p.m. arrival, my wife and I were immediately seated in the far corner of the outdoor patio. From the beginning, the host's demeanor came across as cold and dismissive. When she told us to "enjoy," her tone made it clear she didn't mean what she said. When our waitress arrived, she wanted to explain what the daily specials were, but before she began, we politely asked if we could move to another section of the patio so we could sit in the sun. After speaking with the host, she returned with what I can only describe as a smart-ass attitude, saying, "Those tables are for people who actually have reservations." We completely understood if those tables were reserved, but there was absolutely no reason for the condescending attitude. Instead, we were moved to another corner table, and after the host decided to tell us "enjoy" with the same condescending tone. Once we sat down, I asked the waitress if she could explain the daily specials, but then she quickly replied, "now that we're at a different table, the other waitress/waiter will have to do that" since it wasn't her "zone". As we sat there, we couldn't help but notice what appeared to be a noticeable difference in how other guests were treated. The tables that gave off what I would describe as a more "upper class" appearance, well-dressed white guests who appeared more affluent, seemed to receive a warmer welcome and far more attentive service. Whether that was intentional or not, we couldn't shake the feeling that we were viewed differently. I'm white myself, but perhaps my tattoos or the fact that I was dining with my Brazilian wife caused us to be perceived differently. I honestly don't know. What I do know is that we left feeling like we didn't fit the restaurant's idea of its preferred clientele. For example, our waitress never offered us the option of tap or bottled water, while nearby "upper class" tables were given that choice. Around 6:10 p.m., we ordered appetizers, which took roughly 20 minutes to arrive, while tables seated after us were already receiving their food. We then placed our entrée orders and waited... and waited... and waited. In addition, we found a hair in the salad that we ordered, and when we brought it up to the waitress, her only answer was "that's impossible, everyone in the kitchen wears hairnets... At approximately 6:40 p.m., the hostess came to our table and explained there had been a "mix-up" because we had switched tables, causing our entrée order to be delayed. That explanation made very little sense. How does simply switching tables result in an order being delayed by that much? It pointed to a serious lack of communication between the front of the house and the kitchen. By approximately 6:50 p.m., I believe a manager came to our table and asked if there was anything he could do. At that point, I bluntly asked for the check because waiting well over an hour for our food was simply unacceptable. Ironically, our entrées finally arrived around 7:00 p.m., but by then we had completely lost our appetite. I sent the food back and again requested the check. Even then, it still took another 10 minutes to receive it. To the hostess's credit, she apologized, and I told her I appreciated the apology. However, I also explained that this restaurant clearly has a major communication problem. More importantly, the dismissive attitude we experienced from the moment we walked in set the tone for the entire evening and left us feeling unwelcome. In a nutshell: We waited an hour and a half for our food we never received, we were mistreated, felt discriminated, and there were still PLENTY of open tables in the patio facing the sun. This was our first visit to Narragansett, and unfortunately it was not the welcome we expected. I didn't even bother asking if the restaurant offered a military discount because, by that point, I already felt like we didn't belong. We will NEVER return.
