The Local Catch claims to be the best seafood in RI, and I have to agree with them. If for no other reason than it is so incredibly hard to find fresh, local seafood... In the ocean state. Ridiculous, right? Right.
We've had halibut, tuna, swordfish, fluke, scallops and even sapper from their icy stand at the local farmers' market. The inform you about what you're buying, are more than happy to help you select your fish and then make sure to pack it up nice and cold for the journey home.
What I really love is their mission: local fishermen who practice sustainability so our waters continue to yield such a beautiful bounty.
So, there you have it: fresh-caught, local seafood that is incredibly delicious and mindfully procured. You can order from them online, find them at farmers' markets or you can create a special agreement with them akin to a CSA (they call it a CFA).
