The guy working the counter was super nice, and it's the perfect no frills spot you want to be in and out of with your haul. If you like seafood, this place is phenomenal. They're less than 1/2 a mile from my house and I go here at LEAST once a week, usually for a hot lobster roll. They have a great seafood deli selection as well as a couple of fridges filled with homemade soups and entrees (I HIGHLY recommend the Lobster Mac n Cheese and their New England Clam Chowder). The prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly. I love this place. **Be Advised: This is NOT a restaurant! It's a seafood market. Attention tourists - Notice the Yelp category - seafood MARKET. Driving by and viewing the signage you do get the impression it's a little restaurant, but as another reviewer pointed out, there's just a couple of uncovered picnic tables outside, and a little corner inside with two chairs, but it's kind of a messy area and not really enjoyable for sitting and eating; and there are no bathrooms. So it's really takeout which can be awkward if you're on the road. They do also tend to run out of things, so it may be hit or miss if you are jonesin' for a lobster roll. And if you want it hot, there may be a signfiicant wait. It seemed a little disorganized inside. I can understand running out of fresh seafood on any given day, of course, but the drinks cooler was also pratically empty when we got there around 4:00 on a Monday. Lobster rolls were decent, not the best we've had. The rolls were just hot dog bun style and not particuarly appealing. This is probably a fine place to buy fresh seafood or something to go, if you're a local, but not recommended if you are looking to stop for something to eat. read more

We were on our way to Westerly, when We almost missed this place! It's right by a traffic light. We had to "take a U-turn when possible" to get here. For a little bit over $30 got 2 lobster rolls...both hit. Decent size, fresh lobster...liked the hot buttery lobster on the roll a lot. Did wonder how the cold roll would be. Will try next time. Always a variety of fresh off-the-boat seafood as well as prepared foods such as chowder's, stuffed clams, and cold salad salads. I usually buy my lobsters and the Portuguese stuffed clams there which are to die for. This year 2/lb lobsters and up were $15.99/lb which in part was due to the 4th of July Holiday; that was outrageous imo so I'll be checking elsewhere next year except for those incredibly delicious spicy Portuguese Stuffed Clams. read more

I ordered four 2-1/4 pound cooked lobsters. When I went to pick them up I was charged $151 (I was informed that the going price that week was $14.99/lb plus there is an extra $3 per pot for cooking.) So far so good. When I picked up my order the woman wrapped the pan in foil and brought it to the register. I kind of wanted to look at them but I let it go. I did not get a receipt and didn't press the issue because I was in a rush, plus the woman seemed grumpy or nervous. By the way, the published phone number always gives a busy signal. You can't call if you want to order ahead or inquire about availability. You have to go there. One of my very expensive lobsters was sold to me with evidence of severe shell disease. Supposedly it does not affect the meat but it looks nauseating. I won't be back. read more

Ordered the lobster roll which was fairly priced and had a nice amount of lobster meat. Didn't care for the bun though, but that's just a personal opinion. The problem was that the lobster tasted so "fishy" that I couldn't eat it. Not long before, I had eaten a lobster roll at Abbot's in Noank and there was no fishy taste whatsoever. In fact, I've had lots of lobster rolls all around New England and none of them prior to this one ever tasted fishy. Lobster meat has a unique, sweet taste and all I tasted with this one was fish. This is the "secret" seafood stop down in the Westerly area. They have wonderful cioppino and Rhode Island (clear broth) chowder. Get a scungilli salad in the fridge. Nice fresh seafood selection too with clams and lobster. Much less touristy....avoid the Faberge gold chained IROC/Camaro people here. The fried stuff is good too. read more

I was here the other day for a lobster roll. It is about $15, a bigger lobster roll than most. It was ok but using a bigger roll just kinda made it off balance a bit, like too much bread. Not terrible though. I do like that they have soups and all kinds of side salads. It makes it a good place to stop for lunch. I tried the pasta salad with lobster also. The texture was good and it was fresh but it was a bit bland. The staff here was very friendly and they have parking. If I lived nearby this is where I would come buy all of my fish. There are two picnic tables outside but no trash cans and no bathrooms so this isn't really the ideal roadside lobster roll stop I was hoping it would be. But they still get 4 stars for being an awesome market with a huge fish selection and a lot of other to go food options that I didn't try on this trip. read more

I have been in this location a number of times. Their prepared soups and other items are very good. I would have given them a 5, but there is one woman in the store who tends to be rude to the customers. With no one in the store she will ignore you while doing other things. I understand that a person needs to finish a task before picking up a new one, but it is professional courtesy to at least acknowledge someone is waiting for help, by at least saying "I will be with you in a moment. She doesn't know how to do this. Her response when coming to the counter is "what do you want" the tone with it is one that would make someone feel as if they were bothering her or waisting her time. I bought two two pound lobsters. They steamed them for me it came to 60 dollars. They were so overcooked that their was basically no meat in the claws. Worst lobster I've ever had.
