However, on Fridays they do prepare fried food. We lucked out, and got there around 12:30. Limited selection? Yes, but it's all stuff we love. So the hubby and I were happy to pick the clam strips and scallops. Oh, they didn't have the bay scallops, but had ocean scallops. Was that okay? Okay? We love ocean more than bay. So we lucked out again. Quick drive to the water, and enjoyed our lunch. Have to tell you these were SO delicious. Scallops melted on my tongue. Clams were so flavorful. The tartar was so good too! Didn't have room to finish the fries, but they were good too. So we're going to have to take a small walk on the beach to work it off. Seriously, if you're lucky enough to be around on Fridays for a delicious takeout seafood, this is the place. If you're looking to buy fresh seafood every other time, this is the place. Love their sustainability. Sell what's available on the boat that day. Can't get fresher than that.

Ridiculous, right? Right. We've had halibut, tuna, swordfish, fluke, scallops and even sapper from their icy stand at the local farmers' market. The inform you about what you're buying, are more than happy to help you select your fish and then make sure to pack it up nice and cold for the journey home. What I really love is their mission: local fishermen who practice sustainability so our waters continue to yield such a beautiful bounty. So, there you have it: fresh-caught, local seafood that is incredibly delicious and mindfully procured. You can order from them online, find them at farmers' markets or you can create a special agreement with them akin to a CSA (they call it a CFA). This is what I plan to do once the farmers' markets shut down for the season so I can get the goods all year 'round.

Was quoted $18.95/lb over the phone, drove over and was given a pre-packaged "one pound" bag and a pre-packaged "half pound" bag. The cashier put them in a paper bag and i left. When arranging the shrimp on a platter awhile later, it looked skimpy, so i weighed the shrimp on my digital scale. Realized there was an error, total weight of both bags was only one pound. I drove back down and another woman was working behind the counter. I explained the issue and she told me there was no error, that the cooked shrimp are weighed before they are cooked and cleaned. What?! But the uncooked shrimp are less per pound, I said. I assumed that is why i was paying more per pound. NO. So i expressed that the pricing was deceiving and I was disappointed that I now needed to buy more shrimp. The woman shouted "NOPE, I do NOT serve anyone who disrespects our business!" Are you serious??? Will never return, utterly stunned at the attitude and rudeness of this hag. And I am a bring shrimp cocktail everywhere girl, glad to give Atlantic and Lenny and Joes my business!
