Best Lobstah Roll Eva! Atlantic Ave Beach food. Generous proportions of lobster and just really good food! The service was great too highly recommended! read more

Caswell's has the kind of setting that pulls you in--a genuinely charming ambiance, an outdoor bar that's perfect for a laid‑back afternoon, and music cranking to keep the vibe lively. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the atmosphere. I should've heeded the reviews because the clam cakes were honestly the worst I've ever had. No flavor, served cold, and not crispy whatsoever. When a place hangs its hat on seafood, that's a tough miss. The rest of the menu felt similarly subpar, which is disappointing given how great the space itself is. Overall, Caswell's nails the setting but falls short where it matters most--the food. A solid 3 stars for the ambiance and outdoor bar, but the kitchen needs a serious upgrade to match the vibe. Happy Labor Day read more

Ambiance was great and service was good but the food was horrible. Cold food by time you get it. My bf got a lobster dinner and it was not even warm when it arrived. For the price that it is...definitely not worth it. Scallops were cut to little pieces and fried but was soggy and greasy. read more

Went for chowder and clam cakes on a Tues late afternoon. Sat inside, staff was very friendly, a few customers at the bar. We didn't wait long for our food. The chowder was hotter than lava. It was really thick and pasty. Had a very good flavor though. Potatoes were diced super small and not many clams. The clam cakes were unfortunately terrible. Super doughy and dense, not much taste and a strange caramel color to the outside. Not crispy at all. We were disappointed, especially for $14.50. But again, the waitress was super. read more

Second time time back in two weeks. And for the second time in two weeks we had a great meal. I also must mention the great service we had for the second time in two weeks by Mattie our server. She was great answering our questions and was prompt in delivering our meals. My wife went with the fish and chips. Two large fillets and I went with the two lb steamer special. Fresh, hot, clean and sweet. Best I've had in a long while. Hoping to be back in two weeks. read more

$42 for 6 sea scallops and fries, takeout. Slaw was in a cup the slightly larger than a shot glass. scallops and fries were bland. Need I say more. read more

I was very pleased to see that The Haven has found a new home in Misquamicut, RI! Having a patio as well as inside seating really provides two great options for customers no matter what kind of setting they like to dine in. Staff was fantastic. Always very attentive and fun to chat with. And of course the food: Whether you top there for the clamcakes, whole belly clams, burgers, or even mozz sticks...this place does not disappoint! Highly recommended! read more

Caswell’s Seafood Haven - A great new spot for a local landmark! - Seafood Near Me - Westerly, Rhode Island

Old oil seemed definitely in play. sodden fries and clams. terrible service. I wouldn't return if it were offered free.

This place is insanely overpriced, $43 dollars for a lobster roll. who would've thought that a family of four would have to pay over $200 for one night of food. Service was average and ambiance was average. Lobster was very undercooked (42$). Would never come again, used to be good, new owners maybe? read more

This place had the best hot lobster roll I've ever had. The waitress was very nice and it is close to the beach. read more

Waited over 30 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and take drink orders. Over another hour before food came out. it was not good. Owner didn't care, he was more interested in singing with the band. Will definite not be going back. Owner will not allow any negative feedback. He deletes any negative comments and blocks you. read more

0 Stars. Sat at the bar that abuts the open kitchen on Sunday with a group of 7 women. After waiting for what felt like forever, we were watching as one of the cooks dropped the bottom half of a burger bun on the floor. We then ALL watched as the other cook picked it back up and placed it on the edge of the grill before the first cook grabbed it, placed lettuce and tomato on it, and plopped it on a plate. We all started yelling for them to stop and that they couldn't serve that. They ACTUALLY ignored us until we basically leaned over the bar and yelled at the top of our lungs. Then one threw their head back in annoyance, not even looking at us still, and finally threw it away. We let the manager know what happened so he could address it and avoid it in the future. No big deal. But not only did the manager/owner NOT apologize, he acted like we were lying and kept referring to his 96 point health inspection rating, as if that somehow negated what just happened. The cooks denied what had happened, even though our WHOLE group saw it, and then the owner, directly in front of us, rolled his eyes and said to them "just do your best, there will always be SOMEBODY watching." It was at this point that we truly decided to leave. I am shocked at the way we were completely dismissed and invalidated, and how he didn't seem to care to impart the importance of food safety standards to his cooks. This speaks to the culture of cleanliness, or lack-thereof, of this establishment. The owners attitude was really the final straw. We offered to pay for our drinks before leaving, and he literally waved his hands at us like he was waving off flies, with still, not a single word of apology or any attempt to correct the situation, at as he stood by the door on our way out. Shameful. Don't eat here for 2 reasons; 1) you could be served floor food and get very sick. And 2) the owner obviously does not care about food safety OR respecting his customers. read more

Fish and chips and clam cakes / chowder were better than average. Fun spot. Would def go back.

Stopped in at Caswell's, which is the old 2 little fish. Got a fish platter, got a clam strip platter. Great portions & we even had a seagull join us for lunch. Great lunch & staff. read more

Awful food. My meal was cold by the time I got it. My partner had an ok hot dog on special. No seemed to care.

The hot lobster roll was fresh, buttery, and everything you'd expect with big chunks of lobster meat on a hot griddled roll. The clam chowder was Dynamite with plenty of clams in it. Fish and chips were a large portion of cod, cooked perfectly. In fact, everything was obviously fresh and all was delicious. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The key lime pie was incredibly good. read more

Have had multiple items on the menu and I'm never disappointed! The clam fritters are a must, but have had the lobster roll, the shrimp, the crab cake and much more - all AMAZING! Such a fun atmosphere with the best staff. Just go!!! read more

From start to finish, our experience was first rate! Deana, our waitress was so kind and lovely, anticipating our needs before we asked. The food was hot, delicious and filling. We had steamers, onion rings, clam chowder, chicken strips and fries. A grand slam across the board. Heading home fully sated. Thanks so much...we'll be back for sure. Caren & Ron read more

Located conveniently between Misquamicut State Beach, Westerly Town Beach, and across from Wuskenau Beach, Seafood Haven is the perfect spot to scratch that itch for the best local traditional fried New England seafood around! From fried whole belly clams, clam cakes & NE clam chowder to lobster rolls & lobster bisque, the menu has pretty much everything that locals, tourists, and those of us who have moved away dream about and come back for time & time again. With dine-in indoor & outdoor deck seating + a dedicated take-away window, service is both friendly and fast. Everything on the menu is cooked fresh to-order. Seafood Haven's new location ambiance aligns with everything you'd want in a traditional seafood fare joint, elevated with live music on the deck - at a delightful volume to still enjoy conversation & the sounds of the beach! The owner, Caswell, is regularly on-site, so you know the quality of food & service is going to be consistent & top-notch. A+ experience from a Misquamicut staple dating back to 1993, its legacy speaks for itself! read more

Caswell has done a great job with this restaurant! He makes amazing chowder, strips and the coleslaw is the BEST! I would like to comment on some of the more negative reviews. It's too bad you had a negative experience. Go back and try it again. Talk to the owner. Trust me, we have all been to a good restaurant on a bad day. And the beach is loud , so the waitstaff need to be louder (just kidding) . Keep up the good work Caswell. Joe and I won't head home without stopping by for a meal. read more

I decided to get take out at 11:30 which is early and the fries were cold. Ordered fish and chips the batter on the fish was super doughy. Like two tubes of dough with fish inside. (I was used to the previous place which had lighter crispy breading. When you got chips they were always piping hot.) They changed the place to table service which is not desirable for a beach setting. I won't bother going back. Very let down with the food at the price I paid. Bummer. read more

Somewhat chaotic atmosphere with long waits for food. Not outright dirty but could have been cleaner, including in the open cooking area. Food was ok but lobster had an odd consistency. read more

This was a disgrace to fried seafood. The clam cakes were mushy balls of dough. Clam strips just felt like fried air. We got takeout and asked for extra tartar sauce - they didn't even give us ONE! How do you not include tartar sauce with your fried seafood meals?! read more

If there were a zero we'd give a score of zero stars. Allow me ... my husband and I saw an advertisement on FB for a special Tuesday meal deal for $45. We drove many miles to partake. Upon arrival there were many, many empty tables. We questioned each other if we should enter and remain there to eat. A very loud woman welcomed us and we informed her that we were there for the "Tuesday Special." She seemed put out and tried to talk us into ordering something else, a grilled cheese sandwich. We reiterated that we wanted the "Lobster Lovers Combo" with the 6 oz. hot lobster roll, cup of chowder, French fries, 2 clam cakes, Cole slaw, and fountain soda. The loud woman asked a half dozen waiters about my inquiry and then she stated if we ordered that all the items would be priced separately, not as a meal deal. She also called "Sean" from the kitchen area, he was more pleasant, and even tried referencing the add up on his phone. While he did so, however, she again loudly stated, "No, Sean, all of the food items would have to be priced separately." I explained that that was false advertising and she just shrugged her shoulders. She was extremely rude and loud so I simply replied we'd leave and go elsewhere. Now we know why there was no one there eating. It's not a reputable business. The loud woman made the rest of the staff most uncomfortable. My husband and I witnessed false advertising, talk about "bait and switch.' We won't return and now realize why the establishment has had such terrible business this summer. read more
