They've also got a really nice patio that's perfect in the summer (and smokers all year round, lol). If you want a genuine Northeast Minneapolis bar experience, Grumpy's is hard to beat.

Not that that's a bad thing, just more for awareness that kids are readily running around, in case that does have an impact on your choice to go one way or another.

Worst bar! Rude staff! Gross environment! As a 30 something professional woman I stopped in for a beer. I was greeted by an Asian woman who immediately forgot that I ordered something the second a man walked up to the bar. So, after this man received what he ordered I asked if I could now have the beer that I ordered (which was sitting right next to her in a case in clear view). I got my beer and proceeded to look at my phone. This woman walked to the other side of the bar to verbally harass me by loudly and continuously saying "what (my name) wants (my name) gets". So I said, "excuse me?". She immediately became unaware of what she had just said repeatedly. After that her Asian manager came over and denied her wrongdoing. Lol, don't ever go here unless you are male of of Asian decent. These people are more than rude and really don't know what they are doing. Worst bar!
