Hey Y'all took over the old Betty Danger. They still run the Ferris wheel and mini golf outside. Decoration inside is cute with lots of little chandeliers, a mini phone booth, lots of animal statues, a full bar... The menu itself is not too big, so it's easy to pick an item. Tacos are a la carte around $8-$10. They do have a combo option with 2 tacos and a side. We didn't get any this time around but there were some that sounded good. Service was pretty slow even though it wasn't packed. It was pretty warm inside as well. We ordered the salsa flight, it was ok. None of them were spicy. The pico could use a little salt. Also got the elote dip. It was really sweet and creamy. Would have liked it to have more kick. We ended up mixing the salsas with the dip and it was much better. We also got the loaded fries. Probably the best thing we got. Good portion of bean and olives for the fries. Drinks were ok. The margaritas just tasted like regular margarita nothing special. Small portion also. Wish the drinks were a lot stronger for the price. Overall, go try it once. Support to keep the business in the area. Nothing I would go out of my way to try though.

I was so excited to revisit this north east Minneapolis, iconic restaurant, and have to say I was disappointed. Our bartender/server was very attentive and friendly. She did clear our food away a bit too fast. I wasn't done eating and she snatched away my rice. Her name was Barbara and she definitely was welcoming, Just a little too quick to take away our food and drinks. She took my margarita away and I wasn't quite finished. The food was OK. The tacos were marginal, but the fondue queso made up for it. It was full of flavor and it was the favorite of the night. There was a very annoying little cactus on our small table, so every time we reached for anything we got attacked by the pesky little table plant. Not sure why it was there. We were hoping to sit outside, but discovered very quickly that the outside patio, and all of the fun activities were closed. We sat inside at the bar and I think there were probably only four people in the entire place. Which was odd because it was 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon. I definitely will come back to try the outside patio soon, but don't think I would sit inside again. I miss Betty dangers!!

Sergio seriously outdid himself with the tacos. Every bite was packed with flavor--the seasoning was on point, and the tortillas were super fresh. My absolute favorites? The elote and potato tacos. Unreal. I added rice and beans to round it out, and honestly? The beans might've stolen the show. The margaritas? Top tier. The signature Hey Y'all frozen marg is my go-to now. I also tried the Nightmare cocktail--super tasty, bold, and balanced. Let's talk disco fries. If you love fries, don't even think twice. It's a fry lover's dream--cheesy, crispy, rich, and completely addictive. Shoutout to Elle, our server, who was absolutely amazing. Attentive, efficient, full of great recommendations, and genuinely made the night better. She went above and beyond. The ambiance is a whole mood--like if Pony Club and Cowboy Carter had a baby. Bold, stylish, fun, and just the right amount of wild. Also--they're doing a Pride Drag Brunch soon and I cannot wait. This place was already a vibe, and now it's turning into the spot. Already planning my return. Hey Y'all is killing it.

Apologizing for the long post, but want to explain our whole experience for anyone interested in coming here. I have hope that the kinks will work out with time - but I will not be going back for at least a month if at all... I was here on opening day (Saturday), specifically in the ticketed event section. I was there with a friend who was invited, but it was also possible to buy tickets for this section. I'll start with the positive, the Ferris Wheel is still a fun and unique part of this spot. Ride was smooth, baskets were clean and it felt very safe & updated. The operator was a gem, so sweet and even trying to help us with our food & drink service before the wheel was open. Also, the banana pudding is delicious and I'm still thinking about how good it was. The portion is huge yet light and sweet. Ambiance is like Betty Dangers, still pink and green and eclectic - however there were some pieces that had been converted to be Texas themed. That's it for the positives of our experience, so I'll start with why this is only one star. First, no one could find the entrance to this place, it should've been a sign toward the rest of our night. Us and others all night kept circling around the place - it needs to be a lot clearer (you enter on the parking lot side, not the sidewalk/street facing side). Also, I'm not quite sure why this is Texas themed - more of a personal opinion but it feels out of place in a state that many people take pride in (and is so far away/not similar). When we arrived (and finally found the entrance) we were checked in and taken to our section - told it was 'Cafe Style', QR codes for ordering on the table and no set server. One part of this that I wasn't a fan of is we had to go and get our own silverware, glassware, water jugs, etc. from a station. Since we were here as invitee's, my friend was taking content to post - it would've been very helpful to have a server to ask questions & get more details. The QR codes didn't have any descriptions of the food so we had to try and open a menu on another phone to see what items were... When we went to order drinks, 3 of 10 were already sold out - which doesn't make sense considering it was grand opening & we were first seated for the event at 5:30 - this included the signature drink that my friend planned on covering on socials. In order to ask about this & about other drinks, I had to go up to the bar and wait for one of the two bartenders to answer my questions. Weird part was we weren't able to order any other drinks than what were on the menu, no regular margaritas/vodka sodas/etc. My friend had an allergy to something in a drink and since we didn't have a server we couldn't ask about it. Throughout the night we would see drinks restock, then go back out on and off - it got to the point where people weren't even getting drinks they ordered. We ordered appetizers - they never came. We ordered entrees - they never came. After flagging down employee after employee saying we weren't being fed, the manager/owner (?) came over and apologized. It was 7:00 at this point (1.5 hours later) and he started grabbing us anything he could give us - aka banana pudding. We showed him our order multiple times and he kept saying things were sold out. We got to try a couple tacos, they were all dry and one of them my friend spit into her napkin because it tasted foul. We got fajitas and had to send them back because the napkin in the tortillas was dirty (I'm talking different colored stains on the napkin that did not match the tortillas...). The fajita meat and vegetables were tasty - but not for the price point. Same note for the tuna tostadas - not bad but it felt like just guac with tuna so the price point seemed unreasonable. We told the manager/owner we were leaving and he seemed disappointed and kept trying to bring food - we left at 8pm starving and regretful we wasted a Saturday night here. We luckily did not pay for anything.

Grand Opening Fail. The former Betty Danger's Country Club is now the Tipsy Taco. They kept the wheel and the mini golf (nice) and the green/pink decor (yuk). Looks like they freshened it up some and just reopened. When we checked in I asked the snobby host about the wheel and was told they had a private party reserved for the night - Who does that on opening night? Mini golf was not running yet. Oh well. We were seated with food menus (which have no prices listed?). It took 15 minutes for water, and the table next to us informed us that we should order both food and drinks at the same time as it was really slow service. 30 minutes in we finally were able to place an order. The drinks, and later food, come out one at a time with large gaps between items. The staff is completely confused about how their handheld devices work. They don't know where the tables are. Servers were wandering around with half melted ice cream in search of a table. My "carne asada" double taco was really hamburger and a greasy low key edible mess. Then the fire alarm went off! While silenced in about a minute, the MFD showed up with their ladder trucks and in full gear. People clapped for their arrival - truly a moment of comic relief. It took forever to get to leave. When asked "how was it?" I simply told them it was the worst meal I've had in 5 years (and that's being generous). Unbelievably they did not comp our meal, but the snobby host did offer us some mystery discount (who knows as there was no pricing?). This is as bad as it gets.

This was my first time being here since it was Betty Dangers and the vibe was still immaculate! Every spot around the restaurant is a photo op. It is definitely the highlight of the restaurant. We didn't end up partaking in any activities, but the mini golf and Ferris wheel looked fun. The service was a bit slow and it took us awhile to be waited on, but the tacos were very good! I ended up doing the two taco combo and got the double decker and baracoa taco. Would definitely recommend the double decker, it was very tasty and so big! I am rating Hey Ya'll 4 stars because the service was very slow and we weren't checked in on as much as I would have appreciated, but it was still a good experience and I would go again!

Tipsy taco was amazing! my friends and i went on the ferris wheel, you can bring drinks on there and ride is the perfect length. The menu is large, and so is the food! i got two tacos, but def only needed one. Chips and queso was a 3/5 it was a little hard, which is my only complaint. the Guac is amazing, all tacos look great! The service was amazing! The place has an amazing vibe i've been missing since betty dangers closed. there's also mini golf. it's really a great place for any ages!

Tacos were good and the service was good but it did seem a bit unorganized with different menus not matching and the frozen drink machine not working. It also seemed like it could use a little sprucing up which is odd considering it was new when I went. I do like the decor but it's definitely designed for women. A bit overpriced but our server let us play mini golf for free so that made up for it. The Ferris wheel was fun and only cost $4-5 per person. I'd maybe go back in the evening when it's dark and sit out on the patio for drinks but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for a family dinner.

We went during their soft opening. The server answered our questions about the food and my margarita was really good. We really liked their guac. Hopefully they can figure out the kinks and get things working out.

First time here with friends for lunch. I was never here when it was Betty Dangers, so unsure if decor inside and outside is the same. We shared Elote chips and dip and salsa flight. I also ordered a Barbacoa taco. These are pretty small. You get 1. The water they serve you is warm. We walked around and took pictures afterwards of pink vow, horse, zebra, and gorilla and Bison outside. Waitress forgot my Corona NA. Of course, no mini golf or ferris ride until 4 pm. That would have been cool. It was fun having lunch with friends.

    Guacamole was generous and tasty!

I read the reviews and we decided to try it anyway, but sadly this will be one of my lowest reviews. Not because of the food which was actually very good, but because of everything else. First of all let's talk about the challenge of finding the entrance. They have a nice parking lot which is a wonderful thing in NE Mpls! But the old entrance in the logical front of the building is an exit only. The actual entrance is in the back but everyone comes around to the front and then they get disgusted that they now have to re-walk back to the lot and all the way around. There should be some large signs on the fencing around the miniature golf area with an arrow pointing to the correct direction of the door. We were seated in the garden room and had to use the QR code to order and to pay. No one comes by so you can ask questions about the menu or customize in any way (which is fine) but even at the end you need to go get your own takeout boxes from the little cart in the room. And when you order it asks for the tip amount and defaults to 20%. I'm all about tipping for service but you literally only see someone when they bring out food from the kitchen. And something about that ...we had multiple people ordering from our table (separate tabs), but when they came out they didn't know who ordered what they were bringing out even though you have to enter your name when you order and sometimes they didn't even know what they had in their hand. This meant a couple of us ordered beers but they didn't know what kind they had in their hand. Things like that. Not great :( All of that being said, I will say that the food itself is tasty. The guacamole was generous and high quality. The salsas are about $2 each for a small plastic cup but is decent quality. The chips are OK as well. I got a side of the Rice & beans which was good and we had the Double decker beef taco which was cheesy and tasty! My mom had the Rib taco which was good but as mentioned in the description had a pork bone in it that was about 2 inches long and an inch wide. Just stuck in the middle of a taco? Why?? My mom almost broke a tooth on it. When we went over to the hostess stand and asked the server about it she said it was in the description which is true. But when we asked why and wasn't that sort of risky her response was "to each his own"....what kind of a response is that!? And we weren't being argumentative just asking. It was an unfortunate experience overall especially given that the food is pretty good. Unless some things change I worry they won't make it.

Great food and great atmosphere! Super nice staff! Free mini golf with happy hour orders & the Ferris wheel 5$ unlimited. Would be great for a weekday or weekend out.

This place has so much potential to be awesome and it was very disappointing. The food was quite frankly, not edible. I will say the queso was decent and the drinks were ok but we didn't exactly come for hot cheese and chips. The service was also pretty rough, they have a QR code system so you order without talking to anyone and they just have food runners essentially. You're also paying beforehand so if anything is not up to expectations there is zero room to get a refund, and I got the sense they don't care to offer you one anyway. It was just truly a poor experience. The place is SO cute and has great potential but we won't be back.

The "kitchen" is also to the side of the bar (like Matt's Bar in MPLS) so you can watch them cook if you had a good seat. There was a "band" (2 people) setting up for live music to begin at 6pm. We had left prior to them starting though. Even thought it was packed, we had plenty of attention from all the staff: waitress, bartender and COOK. Waittress to our order, bartender delivered our drinks, cook verified our order (small vs large onion rings). We splint an order of onion rings. They were battered, not breaded! We prefer battered. They were slightly sweet, crunchy and hot. No dipping sauce offered besides bottled ketchup. Sis got the $11 fish basket with $1.50 lemonade. A dollar fifty for lemonade!! I tried the tartar sauce and liked it. Had a hint of dill. I got the $11 shrimp basket. The shrimp were breaded. Hot and crunchy. No tartar sauce for dipping. They were good but didn't really taste the shrimp, just the breading. I'm not a coleslaw fan but sis said it was good/fine. She couldn't describe the flavor, just that it wasn't Marzetti's (less flavor, no zip). I also ordered a McKenzie's Black Cherry cider. That's hard to find in a bar. It was cold and tart and delicious. Mmm. And only $4.50. Overall, the place was clean, the service was great, the food was good, the prices were awesome. We will definitely be back to try out more of the menu (aka Tony's Firecracker burger). Love supporting small businesses in our local neighborhoods.
