I could probably be lazy and copy and paste another Jimmy's coffee review, but because my integrity is so incredibly high I won't........(lame joke) Jimmy's seems to be well organized and staffed, and the coffee is excellent

Really amazing coffee here (disclaimer: not an expert). I've also had their teas and those are just as good. The baristas are always nice, friendly, and helpful - they're also amazingly fast! The only thing is that this place has literally just one table and opens into a clothing store, so probably not the best environment to work or hang out. That being said, if you happen to come in on a nice weekend afternoon when it's pretty much empty, there are a couple of window seats looking out into the street where you can enjoy some people watching. :)

Lots of baked goods -- even vegan!

Downside: not a lot of seats. And the space is quite tight since it's shared with Frank and Oak, a clothing store, so the coffee line invaded the seating area. Not the best place to study or work unfortunately for these reasons, but during off hours it's actually really quiet! But everything else were upsides! The staff are super nice and the treats selection is pretty solid. There are 3 types of vegan cookies (they're quite sweet) and 2 types of vegan muffins. The almond croissant is to die for. The cappuccinos (and other drinks) are also very solid - a bit on the sweeter side, if that appeals to you too. They have every kind of non-dairy alternative milk - soy, almond, coconut, oat, lactose free etc. Lastly, the drink and baked goods prices are more affordable than Starbucks (under $7 for a drink and treat) :)

A water glass to serve hot coffee in. A mug would be way better.

I love the coffee and the vibe here except for they are not environmentally conscious. It's hard to get a for-here cup. If you ask them for a for-here cup they serve you in a water glass which is too small and hard to hold given it is hot. Is it too hard to buy some proper mugs like every other coffee shop in the world and train the baristas to ask if the coffee is for here or to go? C'mon people let's save the planet one coffee cup at a time.

Every Jimmy's Coffee joint is very unique and this one is too. Great coffee and service at fair prices. I would like to see more Jimmys.

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
