I've got to give a HUGE rave to Sunshine Cooling Solutions, LLC!…read more Of course, our AC decided that after 5 PM was the perfect time to quit on us, and we walked into a house sitting at 80 degrees. When you have a one (soon to be two) year old, sleep instantly becomes top priority, so waiting until morning was not an option if we wanted to be comfortable in our own home. I called around to several companies, including our usual go-to, but no one could make it out that night. Thats when I came across Sunshine Cooling Solutions, and I am glad I did. Sam was incredibly responsive, showed up within 30 minutes, quickly diagnosed the issue, and replaced the part on the spot. Thanks to him, we got cool air back fast and everyone in the house actually got a good night's sleep. Can't recommend Sam and Sunshine Cooling Solutions enough!

Unresolved permitting issue…read more I hired Sunshine Cooling Solutions to replace two HVAC systems at my Clermont home in June 2026. After the installation, I discovered that the required mechanical permit had not been obtained. I contacted the owner, Sam McClure. After I provided the applicable permitting requirements from the City of Clermont, he acknowledged in writing that an After-the-Fact Mechanical Permit should be obtained and said he would begin the process. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, no permit application has been submitted. The City of Clermont independently confirmed that no permit application had been filed. I have filed complaints with DBPR and the BBB and notified Daikin because I originally selected Sunshine through Daikin's dealer locator. Based on my experience, I recommend that homeowners ask about permitting requirements and verify that required permits have actually been obtained before hiring this contractor.

I asked for a call back because our AC was acting up and I wanted to know my options. Bob called…read morewithin a 1/2 hour and I explained that our unit would work for a while (sometimes as long as overnight) and then shut down. Several hours later it could be restarted and would again run for several hours. Bob had me check the condensate safety float and as soon as I removed it the unit started up. Bob then walked me through how to clean out the drainage line. It was very clogged and after I cleaned it out as he instructed the unit has been fine ever since. I really appreciate that Bob took the time out of his busy day to help me with my problem with no expectation of payment. In my book, that is providing great value. I will certainly call Davis Air & Heat to do my annual checkups and do the replacement when we need it. Many thanks, Bob!

They are professional, they show up on time, they handle all questions thoroughly; they are a kind and courteous group of men and women. I cannot say enough good things about them. Do hire them. When buying an AC unit, they gave me 3 choices, and told me the pros and cons for each unit, besides just the price: I found that very helpful! I emailed today, about a problem I was having, and they called, and wanted to come out today: Saturday! Now THAT IS AMAZING!!

I really wanted to like this company. I really did. My A/C…read morewent out over the Fourth of July weekend (of course). Not only did they answer the phone on a Sunday, but scheduled a technician to come out the next day. Awesome! The technician arrived right on schedule, was very pleasant, and determined within seconds of hearing the A/C turn on that it must be the capacitor for the compressor. I've dealt with capacitors a lot in my life as an electrical engineer, so I knew that that should be a cheap fix. Chinese A/C capacitors sell for $25 on Amazon, so even with a small, local company mark-up I was expecting to get away with maybe a hundred bucks, plus the $95 service charge for coming out. To my surprise they charged me $420 for the capacitor, so with the service charge I paid $515 for a capacitor that Amazon sells for $65 (US made, not Chinese). I believe that at this point, the company is taking advantage of customers when they otherwise have to live in 95 degree heat, and I cannot recommend this company at all!

In spite of his busy schedule, he squeezed ours the very next day which is Saturday. Had he not checked that there's still few days left in the evaporator warranty, it could have cost us more or even resort to replacing the whole system. He managed to get us a new evaporator for free from the manufacturer (Goodman), re-routed the new copper lines through the attic instead of going underground which is much better when it comes to troubleshooting any potential leak issue. Charged up with new compatible refrigerant. John is very thorough and knowledgeable as well. He clearly explained any questions I had. On the evening of November 21st, we noticed our 12-year-old air handler had frozen over and our condenser was making a strange noise. We called GC and they were at the house the next day. Cali has been our regular tech over the years, and he showed up on time. He diagnosed the issue and provided us with a few options. We opted for the full replacement since the unit was old enough to warrant it. He explained the pricing and payment options well and without any type of pressure. Oscar and Jackson showed up on the 26th and preceded to rip the old out and brought the new in. They both were exceptionally courteous and kind. About six hours later, the entire area was cleaned and any questions were answered. Cali called about a half hour after they left to check on the install. He asked to call back once the ducting was cleaned and disinfected just to ensure that it went smoothly. Y'all, Global Cooling has been a friend to us for years. Their prices are very reasonable as well. Definitely consider them for all your HVAC needs!!
