This company treats it's former customers like dirt. I bought an AC Unit from this company in 2015…read more I was given a 10 year warranty on my system. Recently my compressor went out on my unit. I called them immediately as it was 85 in my house already and I have 2 small children who were already uncomfortable. They told me the soonest they could have someone out was more than 24 hours after my call. I had to find someone to come out sooner. I would have thought since it was an emergency and a prior customer, I might have got a little better treatment then that. I wish the problems stopped there. AC Guys put in my warranty information wrong. The person I hired needed that paperwork to get the part and ended up installing the wrong part because the paperwork was wrong. When I called AC Guys, they fixed the warranty information and it was still incorrect. They have since corrected that. However, I am now out $2500 because of their error. I have asked several times for the owner Tommy to call me to work out a solution. He has been avoiding me and the Office Manager is refusing to see not only my problem but also how this whole thing is their fault. She is also not wanting to give me a solution either. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They do not care about their customers at all.

A friend of mine was going to sell her condo and she knew the AC was not working but didn't know…read morethe problem. She paid someone to diagnose it. He suggested it was the line set. In a second floor condo, that is a complicated and expensive thing to replace. So I suggested that we bring in AC Guys for another opinion, as I have used them before. They charged 1/3rd the price and told me what the issue was but did suggest, as the system was 20 years old, it would be more cost effective to replace it. I didn't have to meet with anyone. I simply left a check and key. they took care of it all. Even scheduled the county inspector. Anytime they were coming out, I got a text message from them and a message from the technician with their pic. Very smooth and professional experience.

They are professional, they show up on time, they handle all questions thoroughly; they are a kind and courteous group of men and women. I cannot say enough good things about them. Do hire them. When buying an AC unit, they gave me 3 choices, and told me the pros and cons for each unit, besides just the price: I found that very helpful! I emailed today, about a problem I was having, and they called, and wanted to come out today: Saturday! Now THAT IS AMAZING!!

I really wanted to like this company. I really did. My A/C…read morewent out over the Fourth of July weekend (of course). Not only did they answer the phone on a Sunday, but scheduled a technician to come out the next day. Awesome! The technician arrived right on schedule, was very pleasant, and determined within seconds of hearing the A/C turn on that it must be the capacitor for the compressor. I've dealt with capacitors a lot in my life as an electrical engineer, so I knew that that should be a cheap fix. Chinese A/C capacitors sell for $25 on Amazon, so even with a small, local company mark-up I was expecting to get away with maybe a hundred bucks, plus the $95 service charge for coming out. To my surprise they charged me $420 for the capacitor, so with the service charge I paid $515 for a capacitor that Amazon sells for $65 (US made, not Chinese). I believe that at this point, the company is taking advantage of customers when they otherwise have to live in 95 degree heat, and I cannot recommend this company at all!

After looking at my A/C he determined my 7 year old unit needed to be replaced, fully. He quoted me 12,000 but then said there was a 2,100 coupon. I was very hesitant so he said there was another coupon for 1,000 off. I said that was still way too much so then he dropped the price to 7,800. Red flags immediately went off when someone tries to sell me something and then just keeps coming down on their original price. Smelt like a scam. His final offer was to just fix the motor which would be 1,800. He explained to me however that fixing just the motor would be a bandaid but I would have AC. I told him I would get back to him. A few hours later I had someone else come check out my A/C. This gentleman saw the fuse was blown, figured out why, replaced the fuse and fixed the problem. AC is running perfectly now. No motor needed. This company will try to scam you do not fall for it.

We had a full HVAC upgrade and replaced the condenser, cooling unit, vent plates, and duct work. The team started in the morning around 9am or so and finished at about 6pm - for all of the work they had to do and having to access the cooling unit in a tight space in the attic, they accomplished a lot in a day's work. So far, we're very happy with the results and love the parts and service warranty they provide. Everyone was very kind and professional. Highly recommend.

My AC unit stopped working on Saturday. I'd used Frank Gay before and had their maintenance plan,…read moreso I called them. To Frank Gay's credit, they came out quickly and determined that the capacitor had blown. I was relieved because it was an older unit. However, the service tech insisted that my machine needed to be replaced. He said it was in critical condition and showed me the readout. He said it was over-amping and wouldn't last two months. Fortunately, they had a "special" going on for new units. Sounded like a sales pitch so I took a picture of the readout he showed me and uploaded it to ChatGPT. It said not to trust those numbers because they were way off and it looked like the probes were reversed. ChatGPT encouraged me to call someone else. So I did. Chilly Billy's came out today - two days later. The AC guy was named Nas - very easy to talk to and smart. He ran the same tests and determined that while my unit is pretty old - it's working fine. The numbers were well within manufacturer guidelines. They said they would not recommend replacing the unit. So, I learned I can't trust Frank Gay. I cancelled my maintenance membership and found a new HVAC company in Chilly Billy. I'm uploading the photos. One is Frank Gay. The other is Chilly Billy two days later. Trust is a big deal.

Bob then walked me through how to clean out the drainage line. It was very clogged and after I cleaned it out as he instructed the unit has been fine ever since.
