On 4.21.26 a coil failed on my 4 ton (est.) Goodman AC. Joe presented a tiered verbal quote for a coil replacement from his tablet. This ranged from $10K to $4K. The bill as provided was: HL5A - BAND-AID - Heat Transfer Media Coil System Rejuvenation. Job #201994583. Total cost: $4195. This came with a 30 day warranty. No part number referenced. On 8.10.26 the other AC unit stopped working. This is a 3.5 ton (est) Carrier unit Joe installed almost 10 years ago. This was job# 201994682. This was still under a full manufacturer parts warranty. Joe charged $129.95 for the visit and $600 to isolate the leak. Joe offered to waive these charges if I authorized the repair immediately. The verbal tiered quote was offered to us again this time starting at $11900 for the top tier repair with a bottom quote of $5500 (band aid). There was no reference that there would be no charge for the hardware and this was only for labor and refrigerant given the warranty. The quotes from top tier to bottom tier appeared to be out of line. Because I declined to agree immediately, the $729 charge was billed. I brought in an independent HVAC technician for an opinion. He confirmed the issue and charged $1550 for labor and refrigerant and replaced the coil. I've cancelled my warranty plan and will not use this company again.

The owner in particular is so nasty, and the dirty car salesman behavior absolutely tracks. The 'apology' the owner tried to give for their employees' attitude alone was little less than an apology and more of a demand to just 'forget about it'. I'm furious at whoever they paid off to give them good reviews on google because there is no way that clown shoes company actually knows what they are doing. Literally, DO NOT go with this company, even in Florida in 90+ degree heat, we would have been so much better off just not having AC. The audacity of the owner of this company is revolting and palpable, and they take pride in their lack of ethics and proffesionality. When they entered my house as other reviews mentioned the one who knew english said he wanted to inspect my air duct which he did with his phone flashlight and said the coupon would be invalid since my ducts were very dirty. He quoted me over $2800.00 to do the cleaning. I told him that I just had a new A/C and Ductwork installed approximately six months earlier and he told me that it had black mold in it and offered a $200 discount if I would let them clean it that day. I realized I was being scammed and told them I would pay the $89.00 just to get my dryer vent cleaned. He was upset but told the other guy to clean it which took approximately 5 minutes, again with equipment that looked like it was worn out. Very responsive and convenient! We had to get carpet cleaning per the lease and the company said due to dog damage they believe the cleaning will not help. They offered to do the job, several hundred dollars... but warned that they truly believe the rental company will still have to take the deposit to replace the carpet even with their great cleaning.
