Had the usual drain line blockage. They came and cleared it and charged over $200, more than $100 to tell me the drain line was blocked. We already k ew that. Claimed they serviced unit, checked filter and all was good. The next day I found filter soaking wet and dirty, and replaced it myself. When I called office lady was nasty. Don't need that attitude. Too bad as my early experience with them was OK, but don't charge $100+ to tell me what I already know. read more

Suter did an amazing job installing a new complete HVAC System. They were not the cheapest, only slightly higher than the lowest quote , but offered a 10 year parts AND10 year labor warranty! Everyone else was 1 or 2 year labor. They were prompt , professional and respectful of the property. The technicians were friendly and answered any question I had. After it was installed and we were using it for several weeks they scheduled a post-installation inspection to assure everything was functioning as it should and to see if I had any further questions. The removal and replacement inside & outside units were completed in one day. We are extremely satisfied with the entire process from no pressure quote (3 options were offered) to post inspection! read more

Can't get their act together. We bought as house with warranty and services transferred. Needed some work done on the AC. First call took the information and sent me to dispatch where no one answered. I called back and a different person was rude beyond belief. Wouldn't let me finish explaining why I called, dismissed the other service rep response and then dismissed me. They may have installed the unit but they have terrible customer service and have no interest in honoring contracts. Run away as fast as possible. read more

This company is a ripoff. Avoid them at all costs. They charged $185 for "maintenance contract" on my unit. I was told everything was "working just fine", but the unit couldn't keep the house at 78 degrees (it was at 80 or 81 and ran all day long non stop) so I called back a couple weeks later and then get told I'll be charged $125 for a service call (just for them to show up) and the technician couldn't give me any warranty information before I let him look at the unit. I told him to get in his truck and leave. Call someone else, Suter SUCKS. read more

Super appreciative of the fast and courteous service we received today from AJ at Suter. My moms AC stopped working last night and the house quickly got super uncomfortable. Prompt. Courteous. Knowledgeable. HONEST! Repaired our central a/c unit within hours of our first and only call. Charged $85 for the visit and $33 for the labor. The technician replaced the capacitor (this part was covered by warranty with Amana). The technician takes credit cards (portable scanner) so we were able to budget the cost. We highly recommend Suter Air Conditioning and will call them again if we ever suffer problems with our central air unit. read more

Our air conditioner shut down today. We checked everything and ended up calling repair people. Suter responded immediately. We had a tech, Josh, come to the house and diagnose the problem immediately. It was the motor. He placed a temporary motor and will return tomorrow with replacement. We are COOL again. OVERCHARGED BIG TIME......... I had a simple air handler blower motor replacement done on a 1998 Trane air handler. I realize there is a "mark up" on the parts... and they dont work for free.... but $572.00 was outrageous!. The same air handler blower moter went on another identical property.... my son decided to try it himself... $128.00 and it took him less time to install it!........... When the Suter repair man handed me the bill-- I said there must be a mistake.... he said " the price of copper has gone way up" and " these are more expensive now". Well there are a potential of 80 identical units to replace in my apartment complex...I will make sure none of my neighbors calls Suter! read more

Horrible experience last month. A/C went out and Suter fixed the next afternoon. By 11pm it had gone out again. Called their service and apparently they don't work 24 hrs anymore so we left a msg. The next day they did not call back so after awhile I called them and the lady in their office was very short with me. When the tech came out this time apparently it was a "different problem" and they had to order a part. We were told when the part came in the next morning they'd call us. Next day and again they never called. Called them and it hadn't come in yet. Called again a few hours later and found out it wasn't coming til next day. Next day the same thing-they never called us. After calling several times the same unfriendly office lady told me it wasn't coming and she'd call the next day when it came in. It's Friday now with A/C out all week, waiting in a house over 90 degrees for calls that never came. Well of course on Friday still no call. I was almost in tears. Finally I broke down and called her. She heard my voice-the same lady who'd been calling her since Monday, always polite to her despite my despair (!) and immediately passed the phone to someone else. He took all my info and went to check, then came back and said yes your part is right here and there's a guy here who can come right over. So I wanted to ask when if ever they were going to call us since it was now Friday afternoon. And I wished I asked that man HOW LONG my part had been there but just said yes please send him right away. Well, the tech finally came***an hour and a half later. By the way, we live 10 min away from Suter! The reason why I waited a month to tell this is because I noticed that all of Suter's bad reviews are buried on the "reviews not recommended" page. Mine probably will be too, but I want people to know they are not a 5 star company. Our unit is working fine now but I will NEVER use them again. read more

I was charged $628 to replace a condenser fan motor. after looking online and calling around I find out the motor costs $145 max and it took the technician all of 10 minutes to install it. I called the manager to find out why I was charged so much, he told me it was a flat rate and they have been charging this much for over 5 years now and was very rude about it. read more
