I really wish Jimmy Johns would just get with the times already and start toasting their sandwiches. Also wish they had veggie options that were as large as Subway or even Quiznos. I don't hate Jimmy Johns but I must admit I'd drive the 20ish minutes to the Quiznos in a gas station over coming here to Jimmy Johns that is only 5 minutes away. While the food is subpar, the dining area is about as bad if not worse. The floors are never clean and it seems like even when they are cleaning the floors they still have crumbs everywhere within minutes. The best thing about coming here is the smiling faces and I don't hate the day old bread for $0.50. I will go get a whole loaf of bread and make my own toasty sandwich. read more

What a busy and amazing place! Sometimes you don't have time to run out for a half hour lunch. This Jimmy John's is always coming to our office building with a smile. Every sandwich has been accurately made and usually on time when you order delivery. I would recommend this location to anyone in the Benton harbor or St Joseph area. Really bummed out! Used to have JJ has a go to on random nights. But came to the one in SJ in high hopes, and left extremely disappointed. I ordered the JJ BLT, and there was literally 3.5 pieces of bacon. I've never had a BLT with 3.5 pieces of bacon. No employees behind the counter, nothing. The lone worker was repeatedly putting ice in the sink, without acknowledging me. When I visited this location in mid-June of 2019, I was hungry and wanted a sandwich. I knew that Jimmy Johns was the place to go, even though it is a chain, so I went in and started ordering my sandwich. I have never had a negative experience at Jimmy Johns before, as the service and people have always been phenomenal. I myself have worked at numerous fast food restaurants, and have never filed a complaint before because I understand the difficulties of working at jobs such as this one. What happened here, however, was another situation, and led to me writing a review. When I ordered the sandwich, I asked for a cup of water. Instead of telling me that cups of water were not available, or saying that I had to buy a soda, the team member who assisted me (younger gentleman) proceeded to treat me in a manner that I would associate with racial profiling me and accuse me of trying to steal soda. I am a middle aged man (around age 30), so it's not like I am some teenager trying to steal water - I am a full grown adult being shouted at in a Jimmy Johns! Some of the other customers in the restaurant expressed dismay at the fact that not only was the treatment from the staff completely unacceptable, but that they had been offered water cups for free. At this point, I left the restaurant because I realized that the discriminatory and rude staff at this restaurant. I hope that Jimmy Johns corrects the treatment of customers at this location because it is really an unfortunate blemish on their otherwise stellar reputation. I 've never written a bad review (or any review for that matter), and I hardly ever complain when I'm dining or ordering food because I work in the food industry and I understand that sometimes things just don't work out the way you intend them to. With that being said, I have had the worst experience with this particular Jimmy Johns. Now I love jimmy johns. They have an amazing product and the quality of food is almost always excellent. Their customer service, however, is the worst. Today I ordered lunch for myself- just one sandwich and a drink. I waited about 30 mins for my food (which wouldn't be a big deal if their slogan wasn't "freaky fast"), and when the delivery driver called to tell me he was outside, he told me that he had been "waiting" for 15 minutes and had called me six times, he then continued to say "can you just get downstairs, i have other deliveries". He was very rude, and very unprofessional. To top it off, my sandwich wasn't even made correctly. I can't say that I won't ever eat at this establishment again, but I don't think I will be ordering delivery again any time soon. I'd rather drive to the location in Benton Harbor and order take out than be subjected to the horrible service and general lack of respect for the customer at this particular Jimmy Johns. read more

We brought our grandsons in for a sandwich last night. We were the only customers in the store at the time. The sandwiches were fine. Nothing great about them, actually. What stood out to me was the very UNFRIENDLY staff. The young man behind the cash register (longish, blonde hair, tall kid) just stood and stared at us when we walked in the door. No, "Hi, how are you? What can I get for you?" NOT. A. WORD. When our order was given to us, again NOTHING. No, thank you. Not a word. I sat and watched as two other families came in. Same treatment by the blonde haired kid. FINALLY, there was a slightly older guy who waited on a customer, and at least he was a little friendlier.
