We were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch.. I haven't been in a Jimmy Johns in a really really longtime.. This location was super clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.. I had the chicken bacon ranch and we also had a number 9.. I believe that was the number for the italian.. I didn't pay attention when I ordered the chicken bacon ranch that it was a hot sandwich..I rolled with it and ate it. It was really yummy! The bread was great too! Great sandwiches. When in the desert we make a pitstop to grab a Beachcomber I think it's called. I like it on the wheat bread but you can get it on traditional sub which is soft and a bit chewy. Turkey avo smash with double provolone. Fantastic. Service is quick, store clean. read more

Please save yourself time going to Jimmy John's Palm Desert as they close more than hour before their posted times on Yelp, which is 9pm. I work late enough that I would want a Jimmy Johns fix at 8pm, which their last hour of business. I've gone three times in the last six months to get my fix on, and each time Ive come to the Palm Desert store and the store looked closed, internal lights were on but the door was open, only to find out from staff that they closed early because it was slow and wont be open until 9pm, which is their closing time and cant make anything. Don't waste your time going the last two hours tbeyre open because they already closed and just go another day when you can go earlier in the day. Its not worth it when youre hungry and drive far to get your Jimmy John's fix. Its because of this, Jimmy Johns has fallen off my list for sandwiches places because instead of staying open during their posted hours, they close early and this is very true for the Palm Desert store. read more

So after eating at Ruth's Chris, we were driving home on the 111 and saw the Jimmy John's sign. Yep. We stopped in for some Take-Home. For us Jimmy John's is an foodie institution, along with other Illinois restaurants Portillo's and Lou Malnati's. For some reason, the corporate parent Inspire Brands gave up on the central Inland Empire, so there are none near us. Dumb. So we ordered some sandwiches and turned up the AC in back. True to their slogan, "So Fast, You'll Freak", we were back in our car in just a few minutes for our eighty minute ride home. The folks behind the counter serving here seemed a bit tired. But it might have just been the first 100 degree day of the year in the Coachella Desert. Our sandwiches however were great and tasted so much better then those Jersey guys. I tend to get the #10 Hunter (photos). But all of JJs offerings are tasty, see Menu It's now Saturday and they've held up really well in our Frig (photos) overnight. Yum. Came here twice while in town because despite living in a large metropolis we do not have a Jimmy John's (ok I lie. We recently got one (in the last month but it is downtown). We came the first night in town because we got into town late and were starving. We didn't order ahead and when we approached the store the employees were sitting outside (it was an hour before close). They helped us but didn't seem enthused about it. Second time I mobile ordered because this store is in a parking lot with a million other stores and is crazy busy. Pick up was easy. The sandwiches were tasty (mine had too much mayo) but we realized we need to order them with the bread hollowed out because with the filling in there it pushed the meat out and is a mess. Love Jimmy John's and ear it when we are near them. Will probably end up back at this one when in the area. read more

The card reader was down and rather accommodate. The storm employee required me to go out to my car to retrieve my wallet. And then when I asked as a courtesy, if they would give me a small desert but he they refused, saying that it's not his decision. Even though he could've easily made that decision. JJ is all about quality. The service at this location is always friendly. JJ uses fresh ingredients on each custom made sandwiches. It's the type of place that you really look forward to eating at. If you want a chicken wrap do not go to Jimmy John's. Love the sandwiches but super disappointed with the wrap. It's a lettuce wrap minus the chicken for 10.99. I was super impressed how clean they keep this place.. I decided to try the Italian sandwich and I have to admit I was super impressed. Freshest bread I have ever had for a sandwich. And they did not skimp on what goes inside. That sandwich was packed to the brim with the freshest ingredients. And I added some gray poupon mustard which really brought out the flavors of this monstrous sub. I will definitely go back for more. I've been here a handful of times. Great sandwiches and service. I love the bread but have recently gone gluten free. They make an awesome lettuce wrapped totally tuna sandwich. Add the sprouts. I just ordered a sandwich and asked that it be left on my front doorstep. They left it on the driveway in between the sidewalk and the driveway where the sprinklers went off and it was soaking wet. The website is not easy to navigate. I had a very difficult time choosing to leave off certain items and there was no place to enter preferences regarding extra mayo, etc. I would definitely not recommend Jimmy John's. So sad, I love the product, but the service is horrible. I called the phone number to give them the chance to make the order right and no one answered, and it said that the voicemail was not set up. I came here today with a friend and ordered a very standard turkey sandwich. Turkey Tom is what it's called, I believe. My order came out correctly with everything I wanted. There was nothing wrong with this sandwich, per say. But there was just nothing spectacular. It was fine! Staff was very very nice. This dining establishment is a bit pricier than other places as well. Plus, it's kind of a bummer that cheese is extra... very odd for a sandwich place.
