I've never really frequented Jimmy John's, especially because of the drama around the former game-hunting owner of the entire company. I just couldn't spend my dollars there. But, the owner's out, and we decided to check out the $3 value sandwich (thinking of our kiddos' lunch budget), to see whether it's a good value or not. So here's the deal. The sandwich is 6.5 inches and made on skinnier bread, but it's still just the right size for a light bite. I ordered the Italian (#5), and the bread was incredibly fresh, it was packed with lettuce, and had a decent amount of meat on it. If you're hungry, I recommend throwing in a bag of chips. For $3, it's a good value. Now, they do have a taller, much skinnier version of the Italian sandwich for $3.99. It's made fresh every hour and prepackaged for quick take-it-to-go! That's something I might consider for my kiddos' lunches. They have pretty hearty appetites, but I think this is a good alternative...I mean who needs to have a giant meal at lunch? Totally worth the value, IMO. Side note: I don't know who Sharon is, per Lisa D's review, but the person that waited on us seemed to be the manager and was incredibly friendly and helpful. read more

I went to Jimmy John's and specifically asked for no cheese. I even had the employee repeat my order back to me, including no cheese, and they still put cheese on the sandwich. This has now happened two visits in a row at the Jimmy John's located at 332 Skokie Valley Rd. in Highland Park. This level of carelessness is completely unacceptable. This is an absolute fantastic jimmy John's I come here about 1-2 times a week for lunch break at work I always order for pick up and I work very close so I only need 4-5 minute drive away and my order is always ready. Maybe it's a little bit slower time that I order but even with that it's always ready and they never got my order wrong once and I've been going to this location for over two years now. Of course the food is delicious because it's Jimmy John's and the service there is very nice thank you and I look forward to having a lot more sandwiches here during lunch break. read more

It's Jimmy John's. The food is exactly what you expect it to be. But this Jimmy John's does NOT deliver on the promise of "freaky fast". A few weeks ago, I ordered (via the app) for pickup ASAP. When I got there 10 minutes later, they hadn't even STARTED making my sandwich. Seeing as there were no other customers and no other orders made... I just can't quite figure it out. I love Jimmy Johns! They have delicious sandwiches, and their pickles are crunchy and salty. Their roast beef is delightfully salty, and their French bread is amazing. Their chocolate chip cookie is surprisingly good as well. I always come here when I need a meal on the go! read more

I had an terrible catering/group order experience with this store. I ordered in advance and wanted all the sandwich ingredients on the side so people could "make their own" sandwiches. The sandwiches came with NO Cheese, even though I ordered cheese on all, and barely any meat at all ...so just pretty much a bread and condiment sandwiches was what they delivered. I was totally embarrassed with my guests after spending over $80.00. I contacted the manager the next day....3 times and when I finally spoke with him and he said he'd have to speak to his manager. I never heard back. THEN, I contacted corporate Jimmy Johns, who said she would have to speak with the Franchise Owner. Guess what....2 weeks went by .... AGAIN NO RESPONSE. And here's what I asked for in compensation.... 2 free sandwiches. Not even money back. What a terrible customer experience. I had the rudest customer service at the Highland park location. The app wasn't configured properly with the delivery address and I ended up going and picking my sandwich up. I wanted to see why it didn't deliver and see if it was an error on my behalf. It wasn't, I confirmed the address and it was correct however there was a malfunction. The lady servicing me was exceptionally rude to the point that her co worker had to get involved. She started raising her voice at me and I felt harassed. The customer service provided was unbearable. Upon returning to my work where the order was supposed to be delivered to the lady that already called my place of work and banned me from ordering from this location. I hope no other customer gets treated in this way, this transaction was beyond alarming. read more

I've never been to a bad Jimmy John's, but it looks like I've finally found one. On two separate occasions, they've made pretty janky sandwiches. Their bread just doesn't seem as fresh and tasty as other stores. They were good with the proportions of sandwich fillings, but were super-sloppy with execution. Even their wrapping job was pretty haphazard, and two of the six sandwiches I've ordered here have opened up in the bag. I can understand a few corners being cut at peak hours, but both times I went during off-peak hours. Honestly, the sandwiches were still decent, but only after I took the time to fix them myself after opening them up. There are two other Jimmy John's locations within a few minutes drive from here, and I suggest you go to those instead (or try one of the many other good sandwich shops around town). read more

This is probably the grossest and most unprofessional service I've ever gotten. Before and while I was ordering my sandwhich, the girl had her face stuffed with a sandwhich, mayo all around her mouth, and she was licking her fingers. While I was ordering, she was talking with the co-workers. So gross and disrespectful. She also used the fingers she licked and grabbed a tomato from the line. It makes me not want to eat my food. Freaky fast? More like freaky slow. I was literally two minutes down the road from Jimmy John's when I placed an order for delivery. I couldn't leave the area I was working and had to wait outside so the driver could see me. I didn't think it would take close to a half hour on a Sunday afternoon to get my sub. i have order before from here and today i am very disappointed. i order a 2 slims and chips and it came to 15+ dollars slims are 3 bucks and they did not give me a receipt. and the sandwich had no lettuce or tomato and on the wrong roll. i am not going back there again and i am call corporate. read more

Worst Jimmy Johns ever. I love jj and eat it at least once a week. Today I ate lunch at this location for the first and last time. 3 male employees - One was leaning on the back table while on his phone. 2nd guy was leaning on his elbow at the register as he was taking my order. And the 3rd (sandwich maker) was slow and clueless. Couldn't even wrap the sandwich properly. I filled my drink and grabbed a table before my sandwich was complete. And I was the only customer in the restaurant. Far from freaky fast... Also had something unusually crunchy in my last bite. Now this evening my stomach is really upset.
