    Slim 4 (Turkey) + Bacon

Perhaps New Orleans (and, honestly, even Metairie) is not the beat place to open a chain sandwich shop... The best thing I can say about Jimmy John's is that it is fast. When it first opened here, I feel like that compliment could be coupled with "good product" but it's 100% gone downhill. Popped in the Elmwood location for a super-simple Slim recently and there was barely any meat on the sandwich - and what was on there was not good. I added bacon because you have to add SOMETHING to the Slims to make them interesting, but cold bacon is just sad. I brought it home, added cheese and buffalo ranch to make it taste like something, and toasted it. In retrospect, I should've just made a sandwich at home. Chips are good though.

I arrived around 4pm on a weekday so service was quick and easy. It's been a couple years since I had a sandwich from Jimmy John's the guy taking my order patiently helped me through the menu.Towards the end of him making my sandwich, the bread tore so he had to transfer it to another loaf. No worries! It was tasty and delicious.

Greetings from the Tuna Lover: First of all, I am extremely harsh on sandwich shops with tuna as a selection; they never really appeal to my senses but Jimmy John's tuna on wheat is addictive. They are on the order with subway but on a more gourmet scale. Bread is always fresh with a very good wheat option. Cheese choices include provolone which made my sandwich extra especial. They also have sprouts to add to your order.! What really sealed the deal for me is the drive-thru. Employees are always well - mannered and professional even though they fast track; it's like an assembly line back there. Chips are fresh and healthier than the choices at subway. JJ's also delivers to places in the area. This fresh gourmet sandwich concept is what the consumer appreciates. Especially Tuna Lovers like me!

Hello, Jimmy Johns! Reasons to go: 1) Clean store...in Avondale area...let that sit and simmer for awhile 2) Friendly service! (See above note) 3) Fresh, quality food! Try the gargantuan...wow! 4) Healthy options aplenty if you're the dieting type. 5) Cool atmosphere/over-all feel 6) Military friendly; go out of their way to make you feel comfortable! 7) Fast service Reasons to avoid: 1) You miss rude staff and bad attitudes 2) You miss service when staff texts while serving simultaneously 3) Parking is an issue in prime lunch hours.

Italian sandwich shop conveniently located by Tulane!…read more If you have ever been to Italy, you know this iconic focaccia bread sandwich, well here it is in New Orleans! The Roma is probably my favorite because it is more savory. The positano was a little sweeter than I expected with the fig jam. I love the fig jam. Both sandwiches were great and you can't go wrong Price is pricey Bread is oily Parking is street and somewhat difficult to find, had to walk 2 blocks Only has about 3 small tables to sit outside, otherwise you're out of luck. I took it to go since there was no seating. Overall, I'd definitely come back. I think half a sandwich per person would suffice instead of a whole next time. It still tasted good after being in the fridge for a day.

What is not to love about a sandwich shop who makes their own Italian bread and imports their meats…read moreand cheeses from Italy? Our sandwiches were to die for. I had the Napoli. The prosciutto was heavenly, the sweetness of the fig spread coupled with the spicy Calabrian chilis is out of this world. Sooo good! Mike had the Pisa. Despite the chicken being a perfectly thin cotoletta (yes, I have been taking Italian lessons for the past year ) it was still moist and crispy. The sauce was wonderful and the mozzarella was melted to form the most delightful sandwich. We had planned to get back over there before we left town but failed to. Alas, another reason to come back to NOLA This place is not an eat in establishment but has 3 tables outside for you to enjoy your sandwiches. The young lady who took our order was friendly and pleasant and one of the owners (the mom) chatted with us. Our experience was wonderful. It reminded us of our visits to sandwich shops in Firenze. Panini deliziosi!
