I like this burger spot for what they have to offer. The idea behind cooked to order, fresh cut fries, and sometimes a smile. This concept is what I believe we all want in a fast food joint. For now they'll stay in my bag of quick stops. Nah if somebody came along, that had a better seasoning blend for their meat, and a crispier fry, with five guys concept. I'll be all over it. I know they have burger joints that cook fresh to order. I'm just saying I've never seen somebody cut up no french fries in my face and fried them besides five guys. In the world of chain restaurants serving burgers I think that on average Five Guys tends to make one of the top tier burgers you will find. They are also quite noted for loading you down with an insane amount of French fries. The service tends to be pretty efficient and fast while the ambiance is pretty standard from one Five Guys location to the next in my experience. Overall I really prefer to eat at locally owned mom & pop type places but some places just don't have many options like that so in a pinch Five Guys is a reliable spot to get a good burger when you get that craving that can only be satisfied by a delicious beefy and greasy cheeseburger. read more

Siiiiiiighs. I'm beginning to question why I patronize this business. I've had a Five Guys burger roughly 10 times in my life so far. They were pretty good some years ago. As of late, I have not been really impressed, especially after my most recent experience. To keep it short and simple: the burger patties had ZERO flavor. Like zilch. It seemed like the blandest burger I've had in my life. It was so bland, the light mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, mushrooms, and grilled onions did not help with the taste. The fries are delicious, especially after they crisp up a bit more in an air fryer. But, here we are...a burger joint that seems to not do it for me anymore on the burgers. While I don't think Five Guys is terrible, I think this particular location (or maybe all) needs to put more effort into those patties. I used to enjoy grabbing a burger from Five Guys when it got to late to cook dinner, as of June 2025, no more. I'm not a scientist or a professional chef but they changed something. I order a double patty burger with cheese and jalapeños, I've ordered this same burger for over 5 years and loved it. I put my own condiments on it at home and this burger was definitely in my top favorites. Like I said as of June 2025 I've had 2 burgers this month and both have caused extreme stomach pains. My wife had a burger also the second time and also had an upset stomach. I'm don't know what was changed but as much as I hate so say this, we will not be returning, not even for free peanuts. I have been to Five Guys before but this was the first time I had used to online system to order and pick it up. I ordered the hamburgers in advanced, selected my toppings, added the extras and sides and completed my order. i received a text message and email confirming my order and was asked to click on a link to let them know when i was on my way, and it wanted me to allow the app to track me (which was a little odd) when i got to the restaurant, my order was ready and it was fresh and correct; i had ordered fries and those were put in the bag in front of me. overall great service and great system for food ordering read more

Stopped by for lunch and was impressed with cleanliness, customer service, and cuisine! I indulged in a Burger with EVERYTHING on it and some hot and delish Cajun fries. One order is enough to share for 2. I enjoyed all of the drink options. They have those cool, new age, digital pick your flavor coke machines. The main cook on the grill was entertaining and kept the moral going amongst the kitchen. It was really a treat to watch him cook and prepare the made to order burgers. I just don't feel my double bacon cheeseburger should have carried a price tag of almost $9...and that's without fries or a drink. I ordered the Cajun fries and was underwhelmed. They were Cajun, but they could have used some salt as well. Also, they should rethink putting the piping hot fries straight in the cups after pulling them from the grease. By the time I got midways to my cup, the fries were sweaty/soggy and undesirable. I do appreciate the fact that food is cooked to order and you get it hot. The cashier who was "supposed" to be taking my order found it moooooooore interesting to talk to her fellow cashier & that cashier's patron than to take my order. So, I PATIENTLY waited for her (Maya according to the register receipt) to acknowledge me, greet me & ask me to step forward before I did so (I initially thought she was helping her fellow coworker with an problem, but as I ear hustled, I learned she was engaging in a nonchalant conversation with the 2 other ladies)... So, 2.5 minutes passed & she FINALLY acknowledged me & took my order (which, of course, not surprisingly she got WRONG). The food was good. Temperature was great. No biting & shuffling of food in your mouth because it was too hot. I got a little cheeseburger, thanks to my neglectful cashier, "all the way" less pickles. Grilled onions & mushrooms made me Happppppppppppppy!!!! The burger prices seem comparable to Wendys, the fries are a little pricey, but I skipped out on that portion of the experience. Free roasted peanuts for your dining pleasure, but don't throw those shells on the floor, as the sign directs; this AIN'T O'Henrys (well that part isn't in the sign... I threw that in for free ) I enjoyed my dining experience, but I failed to see what all the hype was about. But hey, "I came, I saw, I conquered..." So I should say this right off the bat....I don't eat ground meat. Right, that means no burgers for this girl. Guess yall are wondering how I can review this place. My hubby loves this places so every now and then I'll go. There's hotdogs and veggie sandwiches. So first I tried the hotdog. Eh...it's a hotdog. Certainly not worth the money the charge for it. Also, the wrap it in foil which made the bun soggy from the steam from the hot meat. Then I tried the veggie sandwich. It was a ton canned mushrooms, a couple slices of tomatoes, lettuce, onions and bell pepper. The bun was nothing but mush so I really needed a fork to eat the veggies. The veggies were extremely bland. A nice veggie burger not lose veggie sandwich would go a long way here. The fries are okay. I would prefer a crispier french fry myself. They offer regular or seasoned. We ask for light season, if not they put so much it burns your mouth and doesn't even taste that great. The atmosphere is great. The staff are always friendly. Cheese burger was almost 6 dollars and the bacon cheese burger almost 7!! And the size of the burger was about the size of a regular burger at Mac Donald's. For a dollar more I could have went to a real restaurant and got a huge bacon cheese burger! Like it said it wasn't a bad food it tasted okay. The place was clean and the service nice. Well unfortunately only 3 of the guys will get a star of the 5 of them or maybe they can get split custody. Maybe 2 guys will get the stars every other weekend. Hopefully they have good lawyers and there isn't a huge custody battle. Anywho, Five Guys is a basic burger and fries joint. The burgers are cooked to order on a hot griddle, the patties are on the thinner side which I like and there are a bunch of toppings and sauces. The fries are fresh cut and also cooked to order. They come in regular or Cajun style which I think means Tony's instead of regular salt. The fries weren't as crisp as I'd like but not bad. The only part of the burger I wasn't pleased with was the bun. It comes on a sesame seed bun which I hate. They are always dry and not nearly as smashable as I'd like. The workers here were super friendly. It's like they stole Chick-Fil-A's handbook because I swear 2 of them said "My pleasure" after I thanked them. Sorry if I got you in trouble with any of Chic-Fil-A's trademarks. You may want to keep one of those star custody lawyers from earlier on retainer. I have been to Five Guys in the past. On my most recent visit, I had the small bacon cheeseburger with mayo and pickles, a small Cajun fries (they still fill a small brown paper bag, as you can see from my picture), and a soft drink. The total was just over $10. There is plenty of parking. The interior is clean enough, but being primarily white, it is difficult to clean. You walk in, go to the part of the counter that says "order here", they give you a receipt once you have paid that has your number on it. You try to pick the cleanest table possible, which is tricky. Then fill your beverage cup and wait for your number to be called. During non-peak times, it could be 5-10 minutes. The food is good enough. All in all, I do like this chain. This location could use some cleaning attention. In my opinion, the prices are a bit on the high side. Yes, you get a lot of fries, but I could share a small order with someone else. Which is nice, but most of the time, I am dining alone, so there is a waste of food. Being part of Elmwood Shopping Center, there is plenty of parking. read more

I enjoy Five Guys. This location has never steered me wrong. I think, while the burgers itself can be pricey, they are still delicious. I heard quiet a few things about this place from people all around. I noticed that they opened one up by where I live. So I decided to check out,"Five Guys Burgers and Fries". The thought that kept racing through my head was that the food better be worth the wait. as I inched my way to the counter which took about 25 minutes.I finally got to the cashier. She was very friendly and explanatory about the menu. She gave me suggestions to order. So I picked what I wanted and placed my order. I ordered the Bacon cheese burger with cajun fries. They give you multiple options of what you want on your burger. The toppings I chose were grilled onions,grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and mayo. The burger was fantastic! I also tried the cajun fries they were good also! Still the thoughts of that meal dance through my head. They sell hot dogs at five guys, so I might keep that as an option.Also for vegetarians out there they do sell grilled cheese sandwiches and a veggie burger. One thing that I will note is that the fries are cooked in peanut oil. Also they have free peanuts available for customers. If you have any allergies to peanuts than this place is probably NOT for you. I just thought I would throw in that disclaimer. Another heads up is how busy this place gets. You may have to take your meal to go given the fact that indoor and outdoor seating may be occupied. The prices are pretty reasonable here because you can get a filling meal for under $10. It still boggles my mind that this place is fast food, because it is almost as good as most gourmet burger spots. I will admit that for a chain fast food restaurant this place is top shelf. This was my first time at a Five Guys. I was told when I was in DC a couple years later that I *need* to eat at a Five Guys but I didn't have a chance to, so I was pretty excited that they were now in Louisiana. K and I were deciding whether to check out the Five Guys or to go to Chipotle, and we went with Five Guys. The service I received when ordering our food was great. When I stood there looking at the menu like I didn't know what was going on, the cashier asked me if it was my first time and told me she could help and went over the menu with me. We each ordered a little bacon cheese burger and we also got the cajun fries. It took a while for the food to come out, so if I were in a hurry I'd definitely hit up another fast food place. K did not like the fries at all and I wasn't a huge fan but I still ate them because... well, because they're french fries. Our little burgers were indeed not little. The one thing I did really appreciate about Five Guys is that they don't skimp on their toppings. Bacon and cheese are the only things you have to pay more for and I was very happy with the amount of bacon (compared to "fancy" burger places that charge 1.50 extra for bacon and give you like two strips). Unfortunately the cashier did not hear my say I wanted jalapenos on my burger so I was a little disappointed about that, but the burger was pretty good (I got mine all the way minus mushrooms). I would probably try it again after a while but we will probably skip the fries. Maybe eat some free peanuts instead. read more

So it finally happened....after YEARS of people telling me that I "NEED" to try a Five Guys burger because it was the most amazing thing on this earth (according to rumor)....I did. It's absurd the amount of times I felt like I had somehow offended someone on some deep seeded personal level because I had not had a Five a Guys experience. I figured, "Man, what a loyal fan base. They must know what they are doing." I tried not to get my expectations up too high from all the hype, but it was hard not to expect some sort of spiritual and divine cheeseburger religious experience... I got a cheeseburger, a regular Cajun fries, and a coke. And MAN I wish I split that order with someone! I didn't realize that a regular cheeseburger was a double patty! If I had known I probably would have ordered the "little burger" instead (which I assumed was a junior cheeseburger but come to find out it's actually a normal sized burger). Also, I love my burger fully dressed and at Five Guys, fully dressed comes with: mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms. Plus there's more toppings available upon request. So between the toppings and the double patty it all certainly adds up to be a pretty hefty burger. The Cajun fries where GREAT but SUPER salty from the all the seasoning they put on them, so I probably drank enough coke to be MADE of coke by the time I left ( good thing there's free refills). The free peanuts are a cool idea. Not like you have any time to eat them since the food comes out super FAST! There was tons of people there and huge line almost out the door when I showed up at peak lunch hour but they kept it moving quickly and I barely had time to fill my drink and pick a table before my order was up. This place is nothing if not PURE EFFICIENCY I'll say that much. They hustled so much behind the counter that I felt like I needed to swipe on an apron and help out myself! The staff was very friendly and the girl taking my order was great at explaining how everything worked. I know a big complaint at Five Guys is the cost. But for a double patty burger, giant fry portions and a drink I can't really complain at $11. Plus I probably won't ever order that much food in the future. Next time I'll probably get a small fries and a "little cheeseburger" instead of regular fries and a regular cheeseburger. Pros: FAST and friendly service, big portions, fairly priced. Cons: I found the patties to be a bit on the thin size but it certainly didn't disappoint. read more
