The 70123 restaurant gets its name from the zip code of this area. During my visit I sampled the a cheeseburger with fries and it was an overall good food experience. The service was attentive and kept my iced tea full. The ambiance of this spot seems nicer than what the past restaurants offered. i was reading a blog and they mentioned The 70123 so looked at the menu and decided to check it out. we went for lunch and the prices were midrange but the portion size was huge - so while the salad was $14 it was enough for 2-3 people. we started with the stuffed mushrooms which were good and filling and then got the grilled shrimp remoloude wrap, the shrimp poboy, the hamburger and the fiesta salad. each item was good with enough flavor and large portion. it was good new orleans style food the service was also good so would definitely recommend this place read more

I have been wanting to try this new neighborhood spot, and it did not disappoint! Started with the roasted cauliflower soup, which was so good I forgot to take a picture. I had the fried shrimp - gigantic and perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese was incredible! My mom had the roast beef poboy and the crispiest fries. We love trying new places and in any surrounding area. Came here after shopping for Mardi Gras costumes. You could tell this was a loved local establishment. We happened to pop into The 70123 for lunch one day, and I noticed the empty room with tables, and I asked if they rented it. This was my first time going to this neighborhood restaurant. We were celebrating my birthday. We got potato skins and spinach and artichoke dip for our apps. Both came out bubbling hot and were delicious. My son got the crabby patty and pasta, DIL got a salad, daughter got the grilled shrimp wrap and I got a club sandwich. Two of us got the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Service was exceptional. Our server was efficient and friendly. Special requests were all received as ordered, drinks were refilled as needed and dirty dishes were removed promptly. This review is to warn others about the credit card fee that the restaurant FAILS to put up a sign about or that the SERVERS don't tell you about until you receive your check as well as how AWFUL the service is here. We had gone when it wasn't busy Monday January 2nd at lunch time. Our own waitress (Heather) brought out the salad WITHOUT the cheese the MENU CLEARLY tells you that it has. I had the dressing on the side, so you could clearly see there was no cheese. She NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZED, which she should since it's 100% HER FAULT for serving it like that when a server's job is to compare the menu to the food and the written order BEFORE they leave the kitchen. The least she could have done was to apologize for serving it wrong. Towards the end asked for the check and some refills to-go. She had just taken an entrée order for a lady sitting by herself that she should have gone to put into the computer BEFORE she asked us. A table not far from us she asked if they needed anything. What happened was she *IMMEDIATELY* went to refill their iced teas or waters(whichever drinks were in pitchers) INSTEAD of getting OUR 2 refills, she got THEIR 2 refills AHEAD of ours as if they were better than us and the lady that was STILL waiting on her food to be put into the computer. Servers always want to blame how long you wait for your food on the kitchen staff, well, when servers do things like this, it creates longer waits for the customer's food. I felt for that lady that was a stranger to us even. I DO NOT understand why ANYONE would refill 2 drinks INSTANTLY as if these people were GODS AHEAD OF OUR 2 refills? Then, when we get the check, it has an extra $2.49 and it has why on the bottom. She NEVER did what she should have done which given us BOTH check options to decide which one we'd pay(cash or credit) or asked us how we'd pay ahead of time before printing the check considering there's no signage in the place to tell you they are doing this and she never told us about the credit card fee. So then I had to wait a long while for her to move tables to seat some larger parties coming into the restaurant. Then, when I finally gave her the money, she was SO LAZY to ask "Do you want change" is the same thing as asking if she can keep the rest for her tip. You AUTOMATICALLY get the change to EARN your ENTIRE TIP if you want a tip. Then once she finally took it around over 5 minutes later I was sitting, she instead of going to get the change like DECENT HUMAN BEING would, she went to the hostess's stand to seat other customers as if our time meant NOTHING knowing we had been waiting a long time to pay which is so mean. Also, if I had paid with cash, would have I gotten my change correctly since she gave us the check with the credit card fee so would have she subtracted the $2.49 from our total? If not, that would have been theft! WHY PUNISH THE FIRST PEOPLE FOR THE SECOND or GIVE THE THIRD TABLE THE FASTEST SERIVCE POSSIBLE? That's not fair if 2 tables ask for 2 refills, you should have **COMMON DECENCY** to GIVE THEM IN THE PROPER ORDER OF TURNS! Just because Heather didn't want to write the requests down for both tables she did what was EASIER for HER by giving the third table their refills ahead of ours instead of having morals to do the RIGHT thing for her customers to have made them wait their TURN instead of us and the lady at the first table. Heather has no morals or common decency to do that. If a customer interrupts her taking an order, doesn't she feel that customer needs to wait their turn? So why is it ANY different when she serves to not cut turns? So servers can cut, but we can't? Totally unfair! Heather was too lazy to write down requests. I hope Heather gets cut in front of in lines when it's her turn to see how it feels. That poor lady that was ahead of us that ordered her food, I feel for her that she had a longer wait for her food for people that were after our requests to get their 2 refills instantly. I also don't know WHO would NOT let you know there's a credit card fee to pay WHEN GREETED out of being a CONSIDERATE to the customers you want money from?? You want our money, you be considerate of our money and time. My bill without $2.49 fee was $63.52. The food wasn't good. The cheese triangles were kind of hollow, not much cheese. The chicken wasn't that good on my salad. My husband didn't like his food either. This had to be one of my worse experiences I have ever experienced in a restaurant. It all was because of her not considering our time. We also waited longer for our check as well so she could give them 2 refills. What a hidden gem. Went there to meet friends and it was a sheer delight. Service was excellent and the food was just as good. A friend of mine had the meatballs and spaghetti and it was enormous said it was delicious. I ordered the Boudreaux's wrap. Wow! Interesting combination. Fried chicken tenders, dirty rice, red beans and chipotle ranch all in a wrap with French fries. Really really good. I'll say it can be a little sloppy l, like roast beef poboy but it was delicious. Finally stopped in to give 70123 a try at lunch and was very happy with both the service and food quality. I had the gumbo which had a lot of flavor and just the rite amount of rice. The main attraction though was the chicken Rockefeller with a great spinach and artichoke on top, and the pork chops that someone else had looked great too. For 2024 I like to try restaurants I haven't been to so I can create new favorite places. I wanted to like this place because of the variety on the menu but after the lackluster service and them serving us spoiled ribeye steaks with not one apology they quickly lost my busines. I let our server know that our steaks smelled spoiled and he said I saw them preparing it and it looked fine. I said the steak are packed up in containers and I still smell them. The meat literally smelled RANCID! We gave the steaks back and didn't ask them for any special treatmen. No management came to the table and the server brought us the check with both steaks still listed on the bill. No attempt to discount anything seeing as though we gave them the steaks back to see for themselves and trash! Went here for a Delta airline employee reunion in May. It was held On a Sunday afternoon when the restaurant was officially closed. We used the bar and moved out into the restaurant for a Buffet style service. The staff was awesome and the food was terrific. Many of their catered items also appear on their restaurant menu. This restaurant Is relatively new having been open for less than a year as it was Perrin's previously. We can hardly wait to go back to the restaurant during regular business hours. this was our 3 time trying this place. first time was when they first opened. it was ok. poor service and took long to get our food. the second time, good service and food was ok. nothing great. Third and last time last night. the quality of the food has gone way down. no seasoning on anything. the grill chicken was a frozen piece of chicken that had pre grilled marks with no seasoning, the veal parmigiana was just breading with a canned sauce and a piece of cheese on top. it came with alfredo sauce which had absolutely no flavor. the vegetables came with some type of fake butter poured over it. again no seasoning. we should have known by the empty parking lot this was not going to be good. they won't be in business much longer. read more

I've been to 70123 for lunch on two occasions. The first visit I had the special of the day which was lasagna. It was excellent! Great flavor, one of the best I've had. On my most recent visit I had the Hickory Burger which I requested cooked to a medium/well temperature. Regretfully, my burger was overcooked and dry, along with the bun being toasted to a crunchy texture. I will likely return for another try and hope that I just caught them on a bad day. read more
