I have been wanting to try this place and finally got the chance. I got the smash burger and it was super delicious. The burger was very fresh and juicy. I enjoyed every bite. The fries were well seasoned as well. The service was awesome and wait time was non existent. Just as fast as we placed our order, it was ready to go and was piping hot. Food was great! Burger was amazing. I got the Jam'n burger. I wasn't entirely sure about the strawberry chili jam, but was intrigued. Glad I tried it. It was SOOO good. And I'm not usually a big fry person, but the fries were also so good, both the regular and the sweet potato fries. I love sweet potato fries, but struggle to find a place that does them well. These were delicious. I went a couple weeks ago and have been craving it since. I'll definitely be back. Got the Jam'n Burger and tots. Fiancé got the Smash Dat Burger. Both doubles. Burgers were very good. HUGE burgers diameter wise. Actual Smash burgers. Some places say smash but aren't. These ARE. The jam and special sauce were really good. Burger was a bit greasy but I still feel FULL and good. I would definitely recommend this place. Believe the owner served us. He was awesome. Super nice guy and very personable. And food came out fast. Inside was a nice like local joint feel. And they used the red Coca-Cola cups that make fountain drinks all that much better. We just came back from Smash Dat Smash Burgers on Jefferson Hwy (formerly Mr. Poor Boys), and all I can say is wow!! I don't think I've ever eaten a whole hamburger in my life, but I managed to finish all of this one! I picked up a debris poor boy for lunch Saturday. There was some banana bread pudding on the counter and I was saying how good it looked. I ended up getting it and it was amazing! Very light and fluffy! They offered to give it to me! I insisted on buying it since it's a new business & I'm sure every sale is important right now. The sandwich was very good, perfect amount of gravy, lettuce and tomato. There was so much roast beef I could have easily made a second sandwich ! I had half for lunch and half for dinner! Had the mushroom & Swiss burger, excellent flavor - very juicy! The single patty was plenty. The onion rings were good and nice portion of fries which were cooked perfectly and very tasty. I would like to start this review off by saying if your gonna charge me $5 for bowl of potato salad at least make sure it's fresh and taste good , the texture of the potato salad was awful . Secondly the gumbo can use major and I mean major improvements no way I paid $11.99 for that bowl of gravy water and literally one piece of chicken and over cooked sausage , the roux lacked major flavor just a soulless bowl of gravy soup basically I also ordered a half & half poboy It was decent fried nicely but overall I'll give this place a 3.5/10 read more
