Not a fan of this location. I knew after leaving the salon I was going to come here for lunch. Upon walking in Yoshi looked annoyed I was even there. He took my order and before i went to pay I wanted to add my number for my points. He never asked if i had it so he had to cancel and do it over. I cant remember if it was my work number or personal number so I asked if it went thru. He mumbled something and I let it go. Wrap is made they slap it on the counter no bag or nothing. I just felt like I was interrupting their down time asking for service. I was going to stay to and eat my lunch before getting in the road but the vibe they gave id rather sit in my car and eat. I have no idea what I did to the people at this Jimmy John's location but I must have made someone mad. It's my first time at this location because it's my least favorite sandwich place in the world but I was hungry and it's close so I said !$&@ it let's try! Yep bad decision. Lol idk why they threw my sandwich together like this. All the bacon was stacked up on the crease of my sandwich so if I took a bite of the crease it was like a salt attack in my mouth. They put 15 slices of pickles on this sandwich. For what? I know it was supposed to be the Jimmy Cuban but you don't even get this many pickles at an authentic Cuban restaurant so I'm just still so confused. I was at a customer-install exercise for a day, and the company picked up lunch for us. On the plus side, I was able to request the sandwich of my choice. On the down side, the normally hot sandwich was served cold, as that is the only way JJ's does it. I had tried a nearby location of JJ's before, but had been put off by their no-oven policy. That works great for half the sandwiches, or maybe 2/3, but not the rest. So I had never gone back. On this occasion, I didn't have the time or the inclination to turn down a free lunch, so I made do. The sandwich itself was okay. If I had access to a microwave, I could probably have improved it given 60 seconds. It just bugs me that they don't do traditionally hot sandwiches as hot sandwiches. If you are in the Duluth area and want a cold sub, this would probably suffice. Otherwise, there are other options close by. read more

Hadn't eaten here in some time but I was very pleased with the service...as well as the friendliness of the delivery driver. I ordered online and forgot to give delivery instructions for my residence as there are two entrances. I called and the young lady was very nice about it. I would suggest that they update their app for delivery tracking to provide an estimate of delivery. It gives info that order was submitted, received, and delivery (on the way)....the next option is Eat which I gather this is a "delivered" status. However when it turned to the "eat" status, it was probably another 10 minutes before the food was delivered. read more

Fresh baked bread and fresh ingredients made for a tasty sandwich. I don't think they stack up against the Italian Club sandwich at my favorite sandwich shop (Lenny's) but time and a few more visits will tell. Solid 3.5 stars. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Yes, Jimmy Johns is no Publix but they deliver to my house with no minimum, which means I could order anything and they will deliver it. Once they got our order wrong and even drove back with the right order. I usually get the Turkey Tom, but I have to add extra stuff because alone it seems pretty plain. Also, today I tried the Unwich, which is basically the sandwich without the bread ( yay for low carb lovers). It was yummy. Their chips are really good too. The people at JJ's have always been nice and courteous. I've never eaten in the restaurant itself-- too loud for me. I normally hate all chain sandwich shops. Whenever I want a sub sandwich I usually swing by a Publix. A few coworkers were very excited this place opened up nearby. I stopped by during lunch and was amazed at how quickly I got my food. I ordered and poof it appeared at the end of the counter. It was very fresh and the bread was the best part. They can go a little veggie crazy sometimes so I have to tell them to go easy on the lettuce or the sprouts depending on the sandwich. A bit expensive for my taste. Hello, This place is far from freaky fast! All deliveries have taken 30 - 45 minutes. Any other location I've ever ordered from has only taken about 15 - 20 minutes. So I ended up ordering the sammy with roast beef and turkey. The creative names for each sammy was intriguing so I was expecting finished products. The sammys definitely look pretty good when you first unwrap them; however, that first bite was a total disappointment for me. The sandwich was totally bland. Tons of lettuce, tomato, mayo, and unseasoned meats = BLAND. NO FLAVOR, NO BALANCE. If you're going to NAME YOUR SUBS please deliver a finished product. These sandwiches scream GIVE ME SOME SOUR, SPICE, SALT something! If you aren't going to give me a finished product please do not name your subs and just let us go Build-A-Sub mode please. I like Jimmy John's and had them quite often in college. This location is small and right next to Chipotle on Pleasant Hill, which always has a long line. If you don't want to wait, I guess you could go next door to get a sandwich here. The decorations feature those funny one line jokes and the employees are polite; however, the lighting could make the place warmer so you feel like you want to stay and eat. I've also gotten them delivered. Their ads claim they deliver very quick and I have had that experience at other locations. This one, however, can be slow. I've had to wait over 30 minutes to get my order of just two subs. I live about 1.5 miles away, so expected it within 15 minutes. They are super fast with order. After 15 sec finishing a order the food is already out. Yes really fast! But they did not get a 5 star because of being fast order they always forget the "Extra". I do not get the obsession with Jimmy Johns. Several people in my office order from them regularly so I finally gave in one day. Their sub choices are very minimal, but they do allow for things like additional meat or cheese and you can add various vegetables and condiments so you can get more of a variety that way but they don't have many choices when it comes to bread. As they advertise, they are very fast. They got to the office in about 10 minutes. The smell of fresh onions everytime they deliver is overwhelming. Thankfully I don't mind onions. Honestly a Publix sub is better than Jimmy Johns so I don't think I'll be ordering from them again. There are way more exciting food choices out there, especially in Duluth. read more

I was surprised to see anyone could give Jimmy Johns a bad review. The only negative I've found is that the music is always so loud But that's not even an issue since im in and out in less than 5 mins. The bread is amazing. I could just eat it by itself. Oh Jimmy Johns and your crack laced bread. The roast beef subs are my favorite. I've had the tuna and it was really good, but the roast beef is too perfect to pass up. I think it has the perfect season on it so as to bring out the flavor and not cover it up. It works excellent with the tomato and bread. The chips are fantastic here. It is a little pricy for a sub. I'd feel excellent about this place and eat there more often if it didn't cost me $8 for a sandwich, chips, and a drink. read more

I've order here a few times in the last month as I work literally 2 buildings down the street. The food is typically ok, soggy but ok. Sometimes not so much.... What I find a bit crazy is the delivery. Your company prides itself on speedy and efficient service and has a ton of crazy commercials emphasizing it. Yet I've had multiple deliveries take 50+ minutes, with not even a simple sorry it's busy. If I wanted to wait an hour for a cold meal I'd order pizza. Thanks but no thanks JJ. I went in yesterday for the first time in a while. The sandwich itself was okay, 2 stars for that. I got the Italian nightclub. However, it was extremely unpleasant to sit there and eat. There was a young teenage girl working with brown hair and she was berating an older gentleman working. It seemed like he might have been new but she was loudly sighing and rolling her eyes instead of being helpful. " I ALREADY TOLD YOU THAT!" We could hear it from our seats as customers. She obviously did not bring her patience with her. It doesn't matter how exasperating he might've been, she needs to have respect for her elders. Extremely irritating and upsetting to hear the girl worker be so rude while my group was trying to enjoy our sandwich.
