Just another night at JJ.

Now it's a husk of its former self. Everything is more closed off and outright more business than anything. It's now just a place to get food and nothing else.

2nd time catering at this Jimmy John's and it was great!

This is my 2nd time catering from the Downey Jimmy John's location so I thought it was time to add a review. I've been very pleased with both times I've ordered from here. The first time I was impressed at how fresh the bread was and how nicely all the sandwiches were done and neatly packed. The second time was the same. Everything came out great. I would highly recommend this location when you need to cater sandwiches. I will definitely be coming back.

My first time at Jimmy John I was really surprised about sub I order the Country Club it was so good so many flavor in this sub including the meats, cheese especially the bread I really enjoy. My wife order the chicken Caecar wrap she love it very much. The service was good and staff was very friendly and restaurant was really clean. We enjoy the sub and wrap at Jimmy John.

Bruh. This is their tuna.

Good spot for a quick tasty sandwich. Used to love coming here for the Frenchie but after they got rid of it I've stopped coming to this chain as often. They are quick but not as consistent or tasty as Jersey Mike's so I usually opt for that instead when I'm craving an Italian Sub. My go to here is the Spicy East Coast Italian. I tried their tuna recently but it was terrible. The amount of tuna they gave is absurd. I really wish they'd bring back the Frenchie.

This place, indeed, has a mini market inside with a surprising selection of meats, pantry items and…read morechips. I recommend their chicken sandwich (napilitana de pollo $13.99 for large). It is good. It is the same price at the beef version but understandly so. The chicken meat was grilled tenderly, and the slice of ham it came with added the saltynesss the sandwich needed. Simple but effective. Also chilies adds great flavor too. You can ask for it on the side to adjust spiciness to your preference. Capicollo, one of the cold sandwich, was fine but nothing to write home about. Atlas or wings ($11.99/lb) here remind me of the ones I used to get when I was younger... I like how the spicy version is still deed fried and not saucy. (Personally prefer dry rubs.) The heat can creep up to u after a few. But not all wings are created equally, might end with with some tiny more battered ones along with regulars. Wait times can be longer during lunch times - waited 30 min for takeout during weekday lunch hour.

There's already food that is fried and ready to go when you come up to the counter apparently there's a process that it's lost on me. So I just went my own way and got in line, picked what I wanted and then paid, found a table that is first-come-first-served basis. Easy peasey. Got some cheese empanadas, chicken wings & French fries. What do that to me was the cheese and vanilla, very cheesy and savory! The fries on the other hand felt like that they were sitting there a bit, and I love fries so these kinda were a meh for me. It looks like a small cafeteria set up with the lunch lady at the counter, No muss, no fuss. Pretty good experience coz it was spent with Hubby and a very good friend. Parking is free & shared with other businesses in this plaza.

The best Italian in Bellflower, hands down! :)…read more I ordered the baked manicotti and was quite impressed, perfectly flavored and properly cooked! Their garlic bread and mozzarella sticks were phenomenal as well! The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were wanting for nothing. The place has a good amount of indoor seating, and a huge covered outdoor area in back, and the place is immaculate - clean and well lit. In all we'll certainly be back.

We went to have dinner at Ricci's Italian in Bellflower a little while ago…read more Nice house salad (9/10) with wonderful italian dressing (9/5/10) and vegetable minestrone soup with small pasta (8.5/10), which adults and kids enjoyed. Our entrees included Chicken parmigiana (8/10), veal parmigiana (7/10) , and bacon carbonara with shrimp (8/10), quite rich and creamy, but not goopy. All quite good. Nice that they have Peroni on tap, tasted fairly fresh (8/10). Veal cutlet portion felt a little undersized but chicken was hearty, and red sauce (both marinara and meat sauce) are deep red, slightly thick and pasty...not a light sauce. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, except for the end (when we suffered a accidental water spill and had to mop it uo ourselves). Garlic bread (6/10) was pale and had no taste of garlic: just butter, salt and pepper. At least it tasted fresh and warm. We had spumoni (9/10) and tiramisu (6/10) for dessert. Enjoyed the spumoni but I would skip tiramisu when coming back: beautifully presented but all the art was on the plate, instead of in the flavor of the tiramisu. Ricci's has been around since 1944. But from the outside and inside, you wouldn't guess that. The building seems pretty modern, as well as the interior, a somewhat classic upscale vibe. I really want to like this place (I have a fondness for historic dining) and I look forward to coming back to try the sandwiches and the pizza, both of which look good.
