I gotta ask. What happened to freaky fast delivery? I've always been a Jimmy John's guy particularly this one because I live and work near it. However after a consistent amount of bad interactions I've decided to blacklist it. Countless times I've had to call and ask to cancel my order. Countless times my order has been diverted to a third party. Mind you I live and work 6 mins away. Why is it now 40 mins and my order's estimated arrival time is an additional 30 mins. Last I checked 40mins is not freaky fast. If it wasn't an inconvenience to my work I'd just get it myself. However I think the worst part is the reaction from the owner and any manager I speak to when canceling. Regardless of my disappointment I treat them with respect when I call to cancel. However every single time my concerns are met with sarcastic undertones and lack of understanding. It's disgusting. They know I'm a regular and this is how they treat me. Do NOT spend your money here. I ordered one of the Thai wraps with no mayo and no onion. Well when I received my order there was mayo on it and I called to have it remade cause I can't have mayo. They remade it but the driver who delivered it the second time gave me a terrible attitude. He asked if I had the other wrap and I gladly showed him that it had mayo on it (I don't know of any other white sauce that goes on this by default, but it's not listed in the app). The driver decided to argue with me and said it was an onion. When we first pulled in we were handed three Sandwiches and told to have a great day; but.. it was missing the pickle, the cookie and all three drinks. Not a big deal, we got them ASAP. Though they said we had our pickle.. we did not I'm glad I checked. :( Pickle was ordered quartered (came halved) and sandwiches weren't cut in half as ordered either. My sandwich was wrong, no pickles no extra Mayo, uncut. I haven't checked the other one but it felt light for a doubled up favorite. I'm sure the last ones fine it's just tuna. Oh well. I was a bit perplexed and asking my lunch mates if I was just not seeing it. One pointed out a bit of green. An extra charge, I wasn't having it. Since my first review, 5/11/2015, not much has changed, other than to say, "Yes," this place continues to be just great. After that amount of time had passed, I felt compelled to give 'em five stars this time. What I enjoy about Jimmy John's, when compared to the competition (Subway), is that a) there are better bread choices, b) there is way much more meat served in the final product here and, c) the sub sandwiches are made sooooo quickly at Jimmy John's. You place your order, think about what it is that you want to drink, maybe pick-out a bag of chips (which are delicious, by the way, a new definition of the term, "crunchy") and, "Bam!", the sandwich is ready to go. Amazing. By comparison, if are going down the "assembly line" at the competition (Subway), well, darn, it takes forever for them to manufacture your sandwich, a highly labor-intensive process. I added jalapeños and jalapeño chips to my order and I got a large soda, as I'm driving down the road eating my sandwich I literally take two sips of my soda and its gone, so by now my mouth is burning I have nothing but Ice to quench my thirst. I was furious so I called and asked to speak to the manager Matt . He said he would call me back, it's been about five hours no call back yet! There is nothing more irritating then trying to enjoy a jalapeño sandwich while quenching your thirst with your own spit , my recommendation to you is asked for no ice in your drink. This was my first time ever eating jimmy johns and boy was I amazed. As soon as you step in your greeted by energetic workers. I decided to go with the #15 it was a tuna sub and it was above expectations. I usually stay away from tuna because it's never been that good plus it was from subways. The sub was jam packed and I savored every bite. You can bring a stop watch 9 times out of ten 10 it will be done before you grab your change. My boyfriend and I routinely order food from this Jimmy Johns. Overall, I would say we've had mostly positive experiences. The food is always delicious, I've yet to get a sandwich I dislike and the delivery is fast, as advertised, faster than any other place we order from. The only negative things I have to say are there is ALWAYS something incorrect with our order - we always order our drinks with no ice and they almost always have it anyway, and half the time we order our sandwiches cut in half (which we always do) one or both will not be. It canceled my order saying I was out of delivery range, when underneath that it literally said I was 1.3 miles away. Seriously?! I've recently starting ordering from here and the food tastes ABSOLUTELY fantastic and they always deliver it quickly. It's super convenient to order online and they are nice every time I talk to them. However, I have now gotten sick after eating their sandwiches for the FOURTH time and I'm not the only person I know who has gotten sick from eating the sandwiches from the vista location. I don't have any sort of food allergies and I don't have indigestion issues so at this point I'm seriously starting to wonder if they are properly sanitizing their workplace. I was walking downtown this morning and saw a JJ girl sprinting through the streets and parking lots with what I assume was a delivery in her hands. First, I love the Jimmy John's downtown, the one on State/Glenwood, and the one on Fairview. This one (1590 South Vista Ave) is on my way home from work. On the vegetarian sandwich they consistently fail to put guac on it. Since they NEVER have the sprouts, it is the guac that provides the flavor. Without it, it is just mayo, iceberg lettuce, and out of season tomatoes. I hadn't been to this one in at least six months due to the consistent problems. I decided to try it again tonight. Big mistake. When ordering I told them why I had been gone so long, and asked if they had put the guac on. They said yes. I checked the sandwich, and there was a whisper of guac. A whisper. The girl in charge said that there is supposed to be one tablespoon on that big wheat sandwich. What?! No other JJ in town makes it with 1 tablespoon, which is less than half of the mayo they use. She offered store credit in return for the sandwich. They only have one vegetarian sandwich, so how was ordering another vegetarian sandwich from them going to fix it? I let her keep the stupid sandwich. I will still eat at the other Jimmy Johns locations in Boise, as they are great. read more

This is the worst Jimmy John's I have been to by far. The drive-thru service is EXTREMELY slow. It takes approximately 6 or 7 minutes to get my order while I sit there watching the employees mozy along at a snail's pace. In that 6-7 minutes in the Summer, you will get to smell the gut wrenching aroma of the sewer seeping up from the manhole cover below your car, that is, if you can navigate your way into the tight parking lot, take 2 90 degree turns to get into the drive-thru line. Once you finally get your food, don't even think about turning left, nope. You are forced to turn right, but watch out, cars come from every direction imaginable. The staff is not very friendly, it feels as if they just want to take your money, give you a sandwich and move on with their lives. . . I love Jimmy Johns. The sandwiches are amazing and they are extremely fast. However, I went into the Vista store for the first time as opposed to ordering to my work from downtown and the customer service was lacking. I told the lady I wanted an 8 inch sub and the number of the sandwich. She snapped back at me saying "they're all 8 inch just so you know, I just don't get why people say 8 inch when they order." Uhm okay excuse me? Sorry for being thorough and just reading directly off the menu? I know all the 8 inch subs are 8 inches. But the comment was unnecessary and irked me. This lady seriously needs to learn some customer service or let her make the sandwiches and keep her away from the customers. Didn't catch a name but she was older... Maybe 40s?
