I opted for the #12 - Beach Club: TURKEY, PROVOLONE & AVOCADO SPREAD cucumber, lettuce, tomato & mayo. Added sweet peppers, xtra cucumbers, pickled onions, extra Mayo, jimmy johns mustard. Tell me, does this not sound AMAZINGLY GOOD?!?! Yummmm, right? Well, I'm here to tell ya... NOPE! This was one of the most bland hoagies I have EVER had. This includes hoagies from service stations. WOW! If it wasn't so far away, I'd take this crap back and get a refund. A mistake I certainly will not be repeating. PROS: 1. The establishment looks very clean and well kept. 2. The employee that helped me was very well mannered, accommodating and professional Cons: 1. The 'fresh baked' cookies at the register were ROCK HARD! CRIME! 2. Provolone is the ONLY cheese. The most bland of all the cheeses is the ONLY option? CRIME! 3. There is no way to heat the sandwiches. WHAT?!? I can't toast my hoagie? CRIME!! 4. Incredibly bland hoagie. I even added: xtra Mayo, mustard, hots, oregano & black pepper. STILL this hoagie is incredibly flavorless. Turkey was there but I didn't taste any flavor really. The provolone is well, bland af provolone so... you know how that was. Tomatoes are there but have no flavor. CRIME! 5. The amount of avocado for all 16" may have been equivalent to 1 tsp. WHACK!!! CRIME! 6. I'm guessing everything is kept in a chilled water bath or something, sucking out all the flavors. CRIME! 7. I got the Giant (16") hoagie. This sandwich was near $20. For a Hoagie?!?!? Get outta here. NEVER AGAIN! CRIME! CRIME! CRIME! Final Verdict: Lesson learned. I won't be a repeat customer. There are far better sandwich/ hoagie options with stellar flavor. I know this is a 'chain' but they really need to step their flavor offerings up.

This location is bad. Will ask Corp for a refund on Monday. Upon entering you are greeted and the cashiers are friendly. The overall place is clean. There was a trash can sitting directly in the middle of the kitchen area though. There were no other customers in the place. Which is usually a red flag. But since C-19. It's not really. But I kinda wish I would have just left. Upon getting the food back to the office kitchen. I noticed the sub "Cut in two" was a little lightweight and also looking skinny in the wrapper. Upon opening it I knew exactly why. Barely and I mean barely any meat and any toppings on a $15 sub. Also the bread was nowhere near fresh and with the very low amount of meat and toppings. You can't taste nothing but the hard bread really. COMPLETE RIP-OFF. Also upon calling the location to complain and ask for a replacement. The girl says that is the correct portion for a $15 Sub. Didn't offer to replace it or anything. She just said have a good day. NEVER AGAIN EVEN IF THIS IS THE LAST PLACE ON EARTH....

Turkey from the kids sandwich. Disgusting.

Really poor quality. Final straw was ordering delivery from here last week. The sandwiches were totally incorrect as well as the drink order (given soda instead of iced tea). The Turkey was disgusting.

I've heard awesome things about thee JJ. Plus the fact that I love a good sammich. Any who, went to try this place out and was thoroughly excited. When I walked in everyone greeted me with a friendly hello, which I loved! I tried the beach club which is basically a turkey sandwich with avocado. I must admit I was a bit underwhelmed. There wasn't anything particularly special or great about the sandwich. Aside from it being 8 inches it wasn't exceptionally stuffed like other subs I have had. The contents were fresh from the roll to the veggies. I was a little bummed regarding the choice of sides and veggies, they should have had more options. My friend got the gargantuan and said it was awesome. Can't say that I would go out of my way to go back, but I must admit that I am a little curious about that gargantuan.... Hmm.

My hubby and we're coming through the city on our way home. We wanted something quick. So we both thought we wanted a sandwich. Hubby suggested JJ. We surpassed the one downtown because of parking and came to this on. Me: Club Lulu. No Mayo, No Tomatoes add mustard Hubby: Italian Club, everything no tomatoes So we got 2 subs, 2 chips, 1 pickle, 1 drink. Paid $22.08 Got all the way to Arbutus and....... Our bread was hard as brick. My sandwich barely had and mustard. His sandwich was so oily it was dripping every where. Not happy about wasting 20+ dollars. Im giving it 2 stars because, I've JJ before and it's usually not like this. Next time I will check my bread before I leave. I suggest you do the same.

Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember. What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes. Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area. In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him. P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it's good!

Closest thing to a New Orleans po'boy in Baltimore…read more The Catfish Po'Boy here is no joke. Kimchi-brined fried catfish, remoulade, capers, lettuce, tomato and red onion on a sub roll -- it immediately reminded me of Mandina's on Canal Street in NOLA. That's about as high a compliment as I can give a po'boy outside of Louisiana. My partner had the Heirloom BLT and loved every bite. Fresh heirloom tomatoes, arugula, sprouts, herbed avocado mayo on wheat -- simple and done right. Chuck's has that perfect Hampden energy: unpretentious, a little quirky, genuinely good food. The counter seating where you watch everything made to order is a nice touch. Grab something from the bodega side on your way out. Show up Tuesday for the po'boy lunch special. You won't regret it.

I can confidently say that everyone that recommended this place was right. I had the Seoul skillet with pork belly, kimchi and mushrooms and wow, was it good! The flavors melted perfectly and it was the epitome of a well balanced breakfast. Service was fine - a bit slow, but they were incredibly busy, so I don't fault them at all for that. One thing I do hate is having to continuously ask for my water to be refilled, and I was left with an empty glass quite often but again, they were swamped so I do understand. Ambience is very interesting here, I don't know that I have ever been to a more eclectic restaurant. The decor is all over the place but it really does fit the vibe so I say this with zero negativity. It's quite tight in the space but that's totally fine. Overall I will 100% be coming back and would recommend anyone else do so.

But they do have a wide menu which includes cheesesteak so I decided to give them a try. Then came the 100% disappointing sad cheesesteak I was served. From the soggy bread, to the wrapper that stuck to my cheese and turned my cheesesteak into just the "steak" part. The flavor was that of a piece of bread soaked in water and tasteless. Overall did not come close to fulfilling my craving. Service was the same to follow. I approached the counter where I was greeted. The only customer service part of my experience. I told her my name and she said it would be a few more minutes. The woman then stated talking to her coworkers.. nonstop chatter. All the while the back cooks were bringing up food. And they were bagging it. After about 10 minutes of waiting. I interrupted the chatter and asked if my sandwich would be coming soon (at this point it had been 20 minutes since I ordered). She then asked me my name again and then grabbed a bag that had been sitting in the counter for some time and handed it to me. No apology.. nothing to show my bag had been sitting there for the last 8 minutes while I waited and she as the "greeter" forgot to check on it. So overall I would say the one star given is generous for the service, and food I received from this store.
