What was served. Not very happy with this sandwich.

I've been hearing about Jimmy John's over the past couple years so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm a big fan of eating sub sandwiches and their commercials always looks so good. When I looked on their menu, I was really taken by how robust they looked. So I ordered the large sandwich to go. And when I unwrapped it, I was so disappointed. It reminded me of when i've gone to Arby's to order their roast beef sandwich, and you can barely see the meat poking out between the buns. LOL! So, this was the same experience. Seeing all that lettuce and vegetables and meat poking outside of sandwiches and their menu is different experience. What I received was disappointment. As you can see in my photo there was no love here. Blah blah blah. Sad face :( A good note is that in a blind taste test this would out perform many other subs I've had in the past. If it weren't for the fact that we stopped by to pick up our sandwiches and eating them on our way home I would have less enjoyed this experience. A note to the staff, please add some love and go the extra mile.

I'm in love! Jimmy John's never disappoints... I recommended getting two #9 Italians... Extra mayo, extra tomato, extra sauce, and extra oregano! Put one in the fridge because they never go bad! Super fast and they never disappoint

I had Jimmy John's for the first time ever (that I can recall) today. It was a pretty good sandwich. I would've preferred a little more meat. I ordered the # 5 with no lettuce and no onions. Their menu selection is very good and their prices seem to be very fair. I wish the bread was a little softer but it was good. We had an office luncheon today so we ordered about ten sandwiches and our admin went and picked them up. I personally prefer Subway, but I would eat a Jimmy John's again.

What can I say... Jimmy John's is the best sandwich shop in the world! Some say its the bread, some say it is the service, some say the delivery... Personally I just love the interior design and the jazzy tunes that are always on. Combine that with a number 9 Italian and your day is set!

Wow, the giant Bootlegger Club is even too much for me. Best to share this 16 inch with your loved one as they cut it in half for two 8 inch subs. My son loves the #9 with bacon added, hold the mayo & tomato for this Italian sub. Peanut safe for our son Jake, however, we avoid the wheat bread that is boxed in a separate clear container and no bagged chips as they are kettle cooked with peanut oil. The online order and pick up is awesome, I wish they had a dedicated line for those orders.

Well we have a try for the food for the first time. It tasted ok but the bread was really tough. Definitely good delivery service!!

I'm giving Culver's a five star review, but that's a fast food five star review, with the…read morelimitations it implies. A place like Five Guys is a fast food joint with restaurant prices--Culver's is more like a restaurant with fast food prices and vibe, not really a diner. In the fast food burger competition Austin is fortunate to have most of the contenders within the city: In-N-Out, Shake Shack, Five Guys, and Whataburger and even P.Terry's (an Austin local). I draw the line at McDonald's--Ray Kroc's ghost still haunts the place that put all the good mom-and-pop burger stands out of business, even the original McDonald's in California! Culver's 'double deluxe' is a smash burger dressed in the usual way, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. After much debate internal, and a lifetime of burgerology--my first solid food was a burger at Goff's in Dallas--I would give the prize to Culver's. Anthony Bourdain favored In-N-Out FWIW, but I think Culver's is better. Apart from the quality of their burger Culver's also has the best fish sandwich among fast food places: not just the usual chumburger with cheese, but fried cod. If you tell Culver's to hold the cheese and tartar sauce and add mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, you could almost make it a fast food po-boy. I know it's unbelievable, but it's lightyears beyond the usual plywood-like fish sandwich, which is the industry standard. While we're here Culver's has a much more extensive menu than any other fast food joint, and serves some nice frozen custard, although I'm not into sweets. Their mac and cheese is as good as any I've had in a restaurant. RECOMMENDED

But the staff handled it really well. They were fast, apologetic, and refreshingly colloquial, not stiff or robotic, just real people taking care of customers and keeping things moving. Since fried chicken was off the table, I went with the grilled chicken, and honestly it was excellent. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and flavorful enough that it did not feel like a consolation prize. Maybe this was the universe giving my cholesterol a temporary reprieve. The collards were just okay and not the strongest part of the meal, but everything else made up for it. The restaurant itself was super clean, and you could tell this newer location is well cared for. At about two years old, it still felt sharp, polished, and well run. I've been to several Hattie B's locations over the years, including the original in Nashville, Franklin, and Atlanta, where I once saw a woman riding a horse down the street in front of the store, which remains one of the more unforgettable restaurant-adjacent moments of my life. Austin compared well with all of them. Bonus points, there was no line, so we had a quick lunch with coworkers and still made it to the airport early. Not the exact Hattie B's experience we expected, but still a very good one, and a place I'd absolutely come back to.
