Great little taco shop! I tried two different tacos the Kingston and the wipeout tacos. My favorite was the Kingston the jerk chicken and plantain was a great combination and the sauce that came on it was sooo good. The wipeout came with steak shrimp and fries (i took them off tho, i wasn't a fan of that). I also got a side of Cajun fries which seemed like just regular fries to me but the boss sauce made them pretty good. read more

$20 for two tacos and an iced tea. one taco had 3 tiny pieces of fish on it and the other had two and a few pieces of cabbage and a drizzle of sauce. this place used to be good but now it's total garbage. they go through employees like crazy and the portions are tiny from when they first opened. i give them one star because i can't give zero. read more

worst customer service EVER. if you want to wait for 25 minutes while staring at your food sitting on the counter not being served go here. i swear it seems like all the workers are drunk because how are you going to forget the sauce for my order but give me 4 forks for finger food. along with getting all my tacos wrong. i wouldn't make a yelp account and make this post if i didn't have repeated bad service every time i walk into the door. read more

The food is fabulous. The service is great except they are short staffed. Spencer the bartender was working his butt off. The place was packed and they only had 2 other people working. Taking orders, plus door dash orders plus take out orders,plus serving food. read more

This was my first stop in town and it was a great start to vacation. It is in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking for everyone. It is also really close to a beach access so it is a super continent food stop for a beach day. They had a nice patio with huge garage doors that could bring the inside to the outside as well. The food was delicious! The tacos had a ton of flavor and the fish was cooked perfectly. The killer taco with the honey habanero sauce was my favorite. I was craving poke and Jimmys had pretty good reviews. I made a phone order for pick up and said the bowl I wanted. I then confirmed my bowl with a female employee which was correct from what she verbally told me. After picking up my food and going to the car I realized she didn't get the white rice I asked for even though she repeated it in the phone. Everything else came almost as ordered besides some of the condiments they stated would come in it like crispy onions and some others you can tell from the picture. I also asked for an extra scoop of fish. The total came out to $20 ! The bowl was honestly very light and didn't come with much. The portion size is very small. I wouldn't recommend getting poke bowls here. The fish tasted fresher than other places but the price doesn't make sense. I didn't try anything else on the menu either. I just walked into the location and it was nice very large area. Wouldn't come back for poke though. read more

Mmmm awesome beach food. Everything is super well seasoned and very tasty. Truffle fries, the sauce is so good, all the tacos we got were super delicious, corn nuggets are yummy too. Decent sized tacos- get at least 2/person. read more

Finally got to Jimmy Hula's. Been vacationing in Ormond Beach for 12 years . Drinks were amazing. I highly recommend trying the Reef Runner made with Pilar's rum. It was fantastic. Had the chip trio....nacho chips with guacamole, salsa fresco & queso. read more

We were told that we just had to come here and try their tacos. My wife and I were not disappointed! I got the Baja and the bangun beef. My wife got the jimichurri and the wipeout. We ordered the mission beach fries as an app. The mission fries came loaded with cheese, guacamole. It was Awesome! The tacos came out just as we were finishing our app. The tacos did not disappoint. I would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered online for in store pickup, got there and had to wait about 10 min past the scheduled pick up time, they were busy so no worries... well I'm not so sure why they are busy... got my food and brought it back to my hotel, was eating within 8 minutes of getting the food, trip of dips- queso was stone cold and hard, Cajun fries had to have been cooked atleast 20 minutes prior, they were also stone cold and tasted like cardboard. Ate one and tossed the rest they were so bad. Neither my husband's bowl or mine was correct. None of the toppings (i.e: cabbage, cojita, etc) were actually on the bowl and the wrong sauces were on them as well... kind of bland with just chicken rice and two tablespoons of black beans. I will never go here again and will make sure no one I know does, there wasn't one redeeming food item in the $65 dollars worth of crap I got. read more

The taco I had today from here had steak, shrimp, avocado, and a Baja sauce. It was hands down the best taco I've had in a really long time! It came with fries on it, which is weird, so I got them on the side and my 9 year old was happy! We split the truffle fries, and I loveeee the boss sauce! Love the customer service and the vibes! Jimmy Hula's beach-like vibe makes eating out with friends and family a fun adventure. It is very casual, including ordering at the cash register from the wall-mounted chalkboard. If you like strong flavors and unique sauces, I think this place be a winner for you. I personally loved the fish taco and my son loved his grilled hamburger. We did try to dessert flautas. They were very very sweet but were yummy as well. If you like eating chocolate chip cookie dough raw, you'll be golden. read more

This was an awesome place we went to solely based on the reviews on here, as we've never been to Daytona/Ormond beach. This place had an awesome atmosphere, the wait staff was very welcoming and attentive. The prices WERE a bit stiff in the wallet, but not enough to drop a star or anything. Because the food was definitely worth it. We have a variety of food taste within my family and this place was able to address them all, tacos, seafood, burgers, nachos...you name it. Give this place a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed AT ALL. Definitely will be back, and will spread word a mouth about the place if given the chance. Cheers! read more

Three words: beach, vibes & tacos . From the outside it just looks like a regular building but on the inside is so much character. I love the decor from the bucket seats to the memorabilia that puts you back in early beach days. They have specialty tacos so don't worry about getting anything basic. I highly recommended the Wipeout and Steak Chimmichuri. Also a bar for if you want some good drinks with your tacos. I will definitely add this place to my favorites read more

Let me put this place into perspective it's rated "$" on Yelp so it's affordable eats! Expectations set to what typically comes with a "$" you will be surprised at how nice this place is inside. Decor is great and perfect for being by the beach. Bright colors, nice TV's and you don't feel crowded. The place is order here and seat yourself, the servers bring the food to you. The food all came out quick. The tacos range in price but it's a little over $4 for one taco, it comes with chips which honestly was enough food to satisfy and average person. The taco is the star of the show. My party of 5 all had high praise for their tacos as well. Unique twists on them, shrimp, steak, and french fries was what mine came with. The only negative remarks were the sides. Incredibly lackluster sides. My Mac and cheese was basically frozen Mac and cheese that you microwave. The sweet potato fries were thick and wide which made them feel less crispy. The regular fries were average. The chips were okay nothing special. Overall because this place scores so highly in interior, fast and good service, and delicious tacos I feel comfortable giving it 4 Stars. I grew up in Los Angeles and the Mexican food there is great. Fla is pretty much on par with LA. The only thing I noticed is they do not have Enchiladas Mole. Otherwise good time and good drinks.

I asked for light on the agave and extra limes. There are so many Mexicans restaurants but a few locals pointed me to this one because everything is so fresh.

I got three and I was full by the first taco, which is probably because I ate so much guacamole and chips! If you come here, which you totally should, try the guacamole and the street tacos. I loved it that way because that's what I prefer, but if you're into live music and more people then they have this option for you as well. I believe they have live music every Friday of the month. It's live mariachi band and you get to enjoy some yummy drinks and of course the delicious food. I am literally so crazy about these tacos -- it's the best I've had in this area all together.
