Jila's is the absolute best! This was my first time trying threading and I will never go back to waxing. Jila does an amazing job every time and is so sweet!! I see her every 3 weeks now and never have to do any upkeep of my brows on my own. She has a ton of availability for appointments, her prices are very affordable (and offers discounts if you buy a package!) and location very nice, easy to get to and has plenty of parking. There is literally no other brow place that I will ever go to other than Jila's Brow Bar! This lady is AMAZING my eyebrows are beautiful now!! As a blonde, I was very afraid of having anyone touch my brows for fear of something that would not look natural. Jila is amazing! She does brows in whole different way for a much more natural looking and beautiful outcome. If you are a blonde, Jila can absolutely make you beautiful! read more

Came in to get my boyfriend and daughters brows done and ended up getting mine done too. They have had their brows done before but this was my 1st time. I naturally have thin and almost invisible eyebrows so I was amazed when she A.) Found hairs to remove and B.) Showed me how to use powder to fill them in with color. She was quick, gentle, and really good at what she does. We bought a package deal for more sessions so we will be going back again. read more

I'm over 50 and had never had threading done. I have not been happy the look of my eyebrows but didn't realize what they could look like with threading. WOW! I'm so happy! Jila did a great job with shape and overall look. I actually had full face done and I'm sooo pleased. Since it was my first time, it was a bit painful but Jila is quick and precise. Jila is hands down the best person to go to for threading. I'm really picky with my eyebrows and Any threading place that I go to, they make my eyebrows either too thick or too narrow. Sometimes they don't match one another nor my face structure. Jila is so gentle, fast and precise. Does my eyebrows the perfect way to match my face structure, simple and natural. She also shows you how to fill them in with pencil or powder. I would HIGHLY recommend her. read more

In Jila BrowBar we believe eyebrows can be the best or the worst accessory to your face. It's our job to make you feel beautiful and exceptional. We know how frustrating it can be to not have your eyebrows at their best. Threading is an ancient art of hair removal, and there are many debates about whether it is better than waxing. Some of the reasons are: 1) There is no use of chemicals in threading, 2) It does not harm the skin the way wax does, 3) Lasts longer than waxing, and 4) It has a better overall value.

History

Established in 2017.

The eyebrow artist, Jila, used to practice and thread her family members' eyebrows since she was a teenager. After seeing family and friends' satisfaction with the results, she decided to make it her profession. She worked in other people's salons for years, which brought her to success and fame for her own salon. Knowing she has so many loyal customers who wouldn't go to any other artist, she decided to have her own place. She will gladly shape your eyebrows or thread your face to make you feel glamorous.

I called, and even though I didn't have an appointment, they were kind enough to squeeze me in, which I really appreciated. I went in on Friday, 7/17, around 2:00 PM. I want to start by mentioning the woman who did my pedicure. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, but she was absolutely lovely,kind, gentle, and did a great job. She's the reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of fewer. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my manicure with Nina (although she told me her name was Kim, while her station said "Nina"). She was extremely rude and unprofessional from the beginning. She handled my hands very roughly, constantly grabbing and pulling them around. The turning point was when I politely asked if she was still planning to file my nails into the same square shape I came in with. My nails were visibly uneven and hadn't been shaped yet. She was about to apply the polish, so I simply asked if she was still going to shape them. Her response was, "I already did," and everything went downhill from there. I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years, since I was a teenager, so I know what a finished nail shape should look like. I normally go to the same salon in Mission Hills, San Diego, but because this was a last-minute invitation, I thought it would be quicker to find a place nearby. I wasn't rude or confrontational, I asked a legitimate question. It seemed like she took it personally or was offended, and her attitude became even worse afterward. It's unfortunate because the manager (I believe she was the one who answered the phone and fit me into the schedule) was very nice and accommodating, and my pedicure experience was great. Unfortunately, one employee can completely change the overall experience. If I'm ever in the area again, I would choose another salon, and I wouldn't recommend this one based on my experience with the manicure.

Jila is the hidden diamond of Poway. I recently discovered her brow threading business completely by chance and boy am I glad I did. Jila offers various threading options but she also provides a fantastic brow tinting service which she recommended to me as I have very fair hair. It took about 25 mins and Omg, I love it. I'll be coming back. Guaranteed. This has completely changed my face & I'm so happy I found her. She's a lovely sweet & personable lady who obviously loves her trade & helping ladies look their best. I am a guy and had never done this before. My wife insisted and i was afraid to look funny, however Jila did my eyebrows in a way so so natural that fits my face. I don't know how to describe it but my face looks lighter and I just like my face better now. I will be back again and I recommend Jila to anyone who wants to do threading. She's also one of the kindest people I've ever known. read more

She is a very nice and friendly lady with a talent with brows. She threads my whole face in 15 minutes, and my brows in 10 minutes. The price rate is so fair comparing to other places. I was never satisfied with any other place so I stopped visiting other brow artists for a very long time. Im very picky with my brows. But Im completely satisfied with Jila. read more

Jila's bar brow is a fantastic place to get your brows threaded. I had never done anything to my brows before so I was a bit skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised at the end. It's very inexpensive and totally worth it. Would recommend! read more
