Really disappointed with my experience here. I've had lash lifts many times before, and this was by far the worst experience. I wasn't told until I arrived that I couldn't get my lashes wet for minimum 48 hours or the perm would be ruined and that if that happened, they would not redo it and it would be 'my problem.' In my past experiences, I've always been told 24 hours is standard, and that light exposure to cold water shouldn't completely ruin the process. The technician was very adamant that any mistake would be on me. Policies like this should be clearly communicated at the time of booking, not sprung on clients once they've already arrived for their appointment. The overall vibe felt uncomfortable and passive-aggressive before the appointment even started, and the employee made it clear she didn't want to be there or do the service. I ultimately left because it felt like they didn't want to work with me at all. What made it even more frustrating is that I arranged childcare and structured my day around this appointment, only to feel like basic communication and customer service were lacking. If you're going to have strict rules and no flexibility, that's fine but be upfront about it and don't make clients feel like an inconvenience for expecting professionalism. read more

I have been a lash client at LASHBAR Solana Beach and Del Sur for many years. I have always received excellent care, the highest quality lashes and total professionalism. I always leave totally satisfied with my lashes. My retention is amazing. I have been getting my lashes done consistently for about 20 years and Lashbar is the best. I have never had any issues, but there are times when I've had to cancel at the last minute due to illness or ran a little late due to work and they are always understanding and willing to work with me. Update: I was contacted by the manager (owner?) to come back in for a fill due to my review about the style. I'm blown away with the customer service aspect on both Ngoc and Allie because Allie heard my concerns and confirmed doing a fuller hybrid style this time. Mind you, the first time was not a hybrid style at all. I mentioned if it was okay to go longer in length since the 12's did not fit right with my eyes. We agreed to go with the 13's, and Allie took me right away and took the time to take off all of my old extensions and applied completely new lashes. This session which I thought was going to be in a time limit of a refill (1 hr-1 1/2 hr) turned into a time slot of a new session; when I found out how the end result was; I WAS AMAZED. I got a full set of classic lashes for the first time yesterday. I'll start by saying- they look great. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is I was pretty open to the fact that this was my first time getting extensions and I wasn't given any advice on how to maintain / care for them. I had to ask questions and it felt like pulling teeth to get answers. I ended up asking my esthetician later in the evening best practices for keeping my lashes looking fresh. Not the best experience for an expensive appointment. Anyway- they look great but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're new to lash extensions. I have been getting my lashes done with Hannah for many years and followed her from Kearney Mesa and Solana Beach! I was so excited for her to open this location in Del Sur which is the most convenient location for me. I love getting Hybrid lash extensions which for me enhances my lashes and makes them look full but still looking natural! I love not having to do my makeup everyday and being ready to go with my lash extension. I have great retention with my lashes and I think this is due to using the lash cleanser and keeping them oil/dirt/and makeup free! I also use Grande Lash which helps my real lashes grow longer. This last time I decided to get a lash lift instead of extensions and I love that they keep my straight Asian lashes curled even with mascara! Hannah also took the time to make sure I was comfortable every step of the way and consulted with me on how I want my lashes done. After the appointment, she gave me detailed aftercare instructions and was open to any follow-up questions I had. I loved how natural my lashes looked but not so natural that you couldn't tell.
