about a month ago, took my car to jiffy lube for an oil change. almost always, quick easy service in and out of there. after leaving, went to McDonalds about a mile down the road. there, the car would start but then shut down immediately. i called jiffy lube to ask if they can think of anything that they might had done. they said nothing they can think of. but, Josh (think that was the name), said he would come to the McDonalds since it was close by. he drove there. checked out the car. did a handful of tests. and found out what the problem was and what needed to be done. obviously he went above and beyond to help solve to problem. read more

Waited for over 30 minutes even though only one car in front of me. Service started but they didn't do the safety and light check on me that they did on the car next to me. Then, they asked me, 'what kind of oil do you want?' I quickly grabbed my owners manual to verify, but then on the internet I found a service bulletin and a change. Now I was scared. I had a trip planned. Would they remember to actually add oil? I had been at the bay now for about 20 minutes when I pulled the plug. My oil had not been drained so I bailed. I went to the nearby Valvoline and they charged me the same price for syn blend that the jiffy lube was charging for conventional. This place is scary. Avoid. Kept selling and selling. My car is almost brand new and just needed an oil change. Never filled up my tires with air as I asked until I pulled out and needed it and asked. Service advisor said I couldn't leave without doing the rear brakes for $500 they were in such bad shape. I demurred as I recalled having them done six months prior. They said my battery was at the point of failure and it would be ill advised to leave without a new battery. I acquiesced. They charged $250 for the battery. Inflation was their response. The oil change increased from $115 to $128. The response was "inflation." That much inflation in three months? Took car to Firestone for the engine air filter they said they did not have. Firestone said the brakes, front and rear were nearly new, and no new brakes were necessary. Firestone said their battery, recommended for my car, was $179 same as last year plus a $15 installation charge. The total cost of the Jiffy Lube oil change plus two of the "urgently needed" services came to $493. Ed, the Store Manager, said the computer (Corporate) set the prices and made the service recommendations based on mileage and the recommendations and pricing were therefore pre-determined. As a result, neither myself nor my extended family will be returning to Jiffy Lube, which we had previously trusted for many years. read more

Jiffy lube hires black racist who refuse to service white customers in red Republican hats. Racism is alive and well at jiffy lube! I stopped at this location to get a simple oil change. The gentleman told me the price was $100 for synthetic oil. I almost choked when I heard that as this is about 30 to 40 dollars more than what everybody else charges for the same thing. I asked if I can speak to a manager if they were willing to compete with competitors pricing and such and I was told no they will not compete with others. Being it was late in the day and I didn't have time to go elsewhere I stopped in the parking lot and decided to look up jiffy lube coupons. I found one on the website for $20 off which would bring it down more in line with what everybody else charges. The gentleman I was speaking to identified himself as a manager and I asked him if he would be willing to honor the $20 coupon at which time he told me no. I told him the coupon is directly from jiffy lube website why would you not honor it. At which time another manager walked over and became hostile towards me. At first I did not realize why as the conversation have not gotten to that point it was just conversation as to now. I quickly realized I had my red Republican hat on and he was black and I was clearly a white Republican. The manager got very hostile toward me raising his voice and told me that they would not serve me at this jiffy lube and to get off the property. At this point I had raised my voice not talked inappropriately or rudely just simply asked if they would be willing to honor a coupon. I proceeded to call jiffy lube corporate headquarters to file a complaint sitting in the parking lot and which time the lady asked me to get the names and the address. So I had to ask their names and for the address and what time they became extremely hostile towards me and starting to threaten me. A part of the altercation is on video when I was asking if they would honor the coupon and I was being told no and I must leave the premises. In this video we clearly show that nothing was done for me to be asked to leave the premises other than me asking if they would honor a $20 coupon. The only reason I can account for the rudeness of the manager and his hostileness is my red Republican hat and the fact that he was black and I was clearly a white Republican. It turns out the first guy I was talking to who would not honor the coupon who told me he was a manager wasn't really a manager he just lied to me. Looks like it under new management. One employee brought my air cabin filter and show that I had rat or squirrel turd on the filter trying to convince me to spend $50 on a new filter. I thought that was a low blow towards me as a customer. My car is park no where near rats or squirrels, it looked like he grabbed so of that turd from the rat poison boxes that are posted around the building and place it in my air cabin filter. Now I have to go replace it regardless now. Poor customer service from this location. I will take my business else where. Horrible! read more

October 18, 2015 I stopped in today at 11:35 am at my closest Jiffy Lube, #1380. My local branch closed a couple of years ago. My vehicle was immediately pulled into the bay. Only one other vehicle was in the other bays. I only saw three men working, one supervisor and two techs. I had to wait for 30 minutes in the waiting room before anyone even came to talk to me. In that time, another customer came in, stood at the window for 25 minutes then left. After 30 minutes I came out to ask if my service had been started. The response was "No". I asked them to close the hood so I could be on my way. The response was "We've already drained the oil. It will only be five more minutes." I just paid $70 for an oil change and at 12:27 pm was cashed out. 52 minutes. Is that a Jiffy? After I paid, the supervisor stated "We've put a new window sticker reminder in the front windshield with a 5,000 mile reminder." I said "Thanks" and entered the vehicle. There was no window sticker. I returned to asked for a window sticker. I was given a new sticker with a mileage on it that was only 3,000 more miles than the mileage on my old sticker. What is even more curious is that my odometer, which only illuminates when it wants, was not on. Had the Supervisor asked, I would have told him the vehicle had about 115,000 miles on it. I had the oil changed at a different vendor at my last interval and the window sticker was a leftover from 10,000 miles ago. Did the Supervisor guess my mileage, or did he trust the records at the store and add 3,000 miles to the old sticker. Not even the 5,000 that he previously stated. I am usually asked if I know what the mileage is since my odometer does not always illuminate. The point here is that the Supervisor simply did not pay attention to, or did not care, what the previous mileage was. Strike One. My "Signature Oil Change" statement said that the following was "COMPLETED": · Wash exterior windows. My windows were still dirty. Strike Two. · Vacuum Floors. The floor mats were still dirty. Strike Three. Did my tires get inflated properly as stated on my receipt? I don't know. Were my fluids topped off as stated on my receipt? Did I really get my oil changed as stated on my receipt? Who knows? Based on the Three Strikes, probably not. Did I get a $70 value as a loyal customer? Please. My last two experiences at this location were great. I cannot return nor refer anyone to stop in. read more

I just bought a used car a few days ago and took it for a High Mileage oil and filter change. They ran their routine manufacturer's maintenance checks and I was able to come out with a good bit of info about what needed replacing right away. Service was pretty quick! On my last service, I was shown my engine air filter as they do every time. I noticed yesterday when checking my fluids that they were no bolts in the air box cover. I went back this morning to tell them, they couldn't find my bolts, and the manager on duty tried to put in two bolts that were the wrong threads. He put them in 1/2 turn and called it tight and the cover was still loose. If I hadn't been watching, would he have just left it like that? I just hope that he didn't strip the bolt hole threads because now I have to go to the Toyota dealer and buy the correct bolts. I'm never going back to this place again!!! I'm going to have the dealer service my car from now on professionally. Update. I purchased the correct bolts at the Toyota dealer. But I cannot install them because when the manager tried to put the wrong bolts in, he damaged the threads in the retaining nuts. Now the whole air filter box needs to be taken out to replace the retaining nuts that I had to also buy from the Toyota dealer. Now I'm even more frustrated and upset with Jiffy Lube's work ethics. Never again for this place, or any Jiffy Lube center. Lost my business for good. read more

Good spot to go for the oil change and tire rotation routine. They're always quick but thorough. I've never had to wait beyond just the time for my oil change. I also appreciate the details they go over with your car. They do ask about upgrades but it does also give you a good rundown of what's going on with your car. These people are so rude! I went to get an oil change and the serviceman kept trying to persuade me into getting a more expensive oil for my car I repeatedly told him no and then he gave me attitude. Also as a part of their service they are supposed to vacuum out your car I asked him before I left if my car was vacuumed and it was not. I absolutely HATE the process of getting my oil changed, from having to get out and wait in a small room, to being told my vehicle needs every little tune up or it may break down on the side of the road in the near future. That being said, my experience at Jiffy Lube was fine this past week and I was only told I needed one service, which the guy inside explained I did not really have to get, but would be good for my vehicle. This particular location promises to have your oil changed in 20 minutes . . . however, this guarantee is from the time that they actually start working on your vehicle. As there were several vehicles in front of me, the manager asked me to pull around the side and allowed me to stay in my vehicle until it was my turn. He then helped me inside to a small waiting room with coffee, bathroom, and blaring TV on some acne infomercial (CAN WE GET SOME DAYS OF OUR LIVES OR ESPN AT LEAST!!). The wait inside was fine, but definitely seemed longer than 20 minutes. About halfway in, one of the service technicians came in and gave me the usual rundown of how my oil was too dark and needed some type of flush because of blah blah blah . . . the manager brought me inside and explained that I didn't really need it if I didn't want it, and even offered to apply a $15.00 off coupon to my service. I was able to quickly pay and my vehicle was brought around to the door. While I can't speak as to the other services offered or hidden camera investigations, I wouldn't hesitate to visit this Jiffy Lube location again when my oil light comes back on. The inside staff was friendly, the area was fine to wait, and my vehicle oil was changed in a reasonable amount of time (25-30 minutes), where some places take 1.5-2 hours!! I would only suggest they change the channel or at least lower the volume on the infomercial channel! read more

Got here about 10 minutes after opening so we can beat the weekend rush. Staff was friendly. I was able to use a groupon which I love because I'm always looking for a deal. Best part about the experience is they weren't pushy! He suggested what needed to be done other then the oil change & wasn't bugging me to do anything else. I was in and out within 30 minutes. The worst experience of my life. I took my car in and had my oil changed. A little while later I went out of town for a couple weeks and left the car for my son to drive. The oil light went on when I was out of town. Turns out the kid they had changing my oil didn't know how to screw in an oil filter, and my car ran low on oil. Now my engine knocks. The technicians were friendly, however, when I went to change my oil myself after 3,000 miles, I not only found that they had lost four of my engine cover bolts, but they also over tightened the oil filter cap to the point where not even my boyfriend (who is an automotive technician) could get it off. When asking him why the prices are so high relative to all the other shops on the SAME road his response was "that's just what we do here, okay?" I took my Mitsubishi in for a transmission drain and fill on Sunday 2/8/2015 I brought my own fluid, dealership brand. Upon paying I was informed that it only took 4.2 quarts. I asked if they were certain that specs called for 6, "yea, yea, we measured the fluid that came out and replaced that amount. Are you certain? I am sure specs call for 6 quarts for a drain and fill. I had checked the fluid that morning, so I knew it was filled to the correct level. I drove straight home, checked the level (should have had them re-check before I left) it barely registered on the dipstick. I used the remaining part quart and half of a new one. I called to inform the "Manager on duty" who had checked me out. His response was that even thought they go through the gears, the discrepancy was probably the fluid settling into the transmission from going through the gears. I'm not a mechanic, but I am a grease monkey and have never seen a that amount of dependency from a drain and fill. I will call on Tuesday to speak to the "General Manager" to see if there is any satisfaction to be had. Lesson learned....if you can do it yourself, DO IT YOURSELF!! Don't be lazy you can't trust someone else to know what they are doing. read more

Recently I went to this Jiffy Lube. The first time I went to this store about five months ago, I got an oil and filter change and was told one of the cells in my battery was shot and that I should replace the battery. I disbeleived them and refused to have it changed. I never had a problem with my battery for five months after I left the store! Through cold weather and about 4000 miles in all kinds of weather, I never had one single issue of any kind with the battery. I should have learned and followed my first instimnct and never go back to this store, but unfortunately I did. After a few minutes into the very long oil change (15 minutes? I don't think so!), they said the rear license plate lights were out. I thought this was VERY strange because my truck tells you on the panel when lights are out, and until I got to this store there was no indication these lights were out. They charged me $20 to replace them. I authorized that change reluctantly thinking that tsomething underhanded had happened, but the bigger BS came after a few more minutes. The manager came to tell me the truck battery died and that I needed a new one. I knew then I was being taken! I told them that my battery hasn't had any problem and that they were lying to me. I knew they had done something to my truck! I angrily ordered them to get some jumper cables and get my truck started and that I was leaving. First the manager said he didn't have jumper cables, but as he saw I was not backing down and was getting angrier by the minute and other clients were hearing this, they finally, somehow found some jumper cables! They appeared magically! They jumped my truck and I left after paying my $70 bill. Disgusting! Need I tell you I went to Wal-Mart afterwards and went grocery shopping, and that when I got back in the truck it fired up as always without the slightest hesitation? The battery is working perfectly and hasn't given me one problem since! I came home and friends came over to visit. After telling them my experience, they told me of their nasty experience at this very same Jiffy Lube. The wife was charged $150 for an oil change! She refused to pay it because she never authorized anything extra. She wasn't even advised of extra work until after it was done! This place is a rip off and I recommend you never go there even if they become the last place on the planet to get an oil and filter change!! Read closely the bad reviews! DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place moved to Red Bug from Aloma and were giving $15 off to people coming to the new place. I decided to take advantage. BIG MISTAKE! At first it seemed as though the place was closed. Eventually the people came out and looked shady. The manager called me into the office and tried to sell me on a lot of things I'm sure I didn't really need, but I figured he was just doing his job. No big deal. I only asked for the oil change and that's all I paid for. I got my $15 off as well. As I was leaving the people came around the corner, huddled together laughing, gave me a shady smirk and said, "Have a good day!" I thought their mannerisms seemed very conspicuous, but went about my business because I was in a hurry. About 15 minutes later I noticed my glasses were on top of a gas receipt, which was on top of my pile of change. This was strange because this was not the way I left it. I checked my change pile and all my quarters were GONE! I had a lot of quarters and they stole around $10 in change from me! I probably wouldn't have noticed if those incompetent fools didn't tip me off with their stupidity. So obviously with this having been done I should check to see if they actually changed the oil. They DID NOT. Luckily I made it around and changed it myself over the weekend. Honestly I'm tired of trusting "mechanics" with my car and essentially my life on the road. I'm going to try to fix things on my own from now on. One thing is for sure, anyone can do a better job than these thievish simpletons.
