Absolutely incredible location. We all know what to expect from these spots. A quick drive up, stay in your car, and get the work done quickly. This location went above and beyond. They always give you a write up of the things that need to be fixed. They recognized that my car had a significant issue with something. I wasn't prepared to fix or pay for the amount of issues that needed to be done. The mechanic took their time to explain the pros and cons of having it done, didn't make me feel pressured, and even helped me find a coupon! This location is out of my way, but I'm going to go back whenever I need something done because I trust their expertise. read more

This is probably the worst oil change place I have ever been to. I'm not one to write really bad reviews, most of the time I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they are just having a rough day. I visited this location on Monday around 1:30, there were a couple of other cars in line but nothing too crazy. After waiting for 30 mins a man came to my car offered me a free water and apologized for the wait. He then told me they are short staffed and it should only be another 20-30 mins. I waited for over an hour and a half. By the time I was in the bay I had to tell them I had to leave because I had to get to work. So not only did I wait almost 2 hours, I still didn't get my oil changed. As someone who works in a service industry I did expect to get at least a coupon, ya know a hey we are so so sorry let's try and make your next experience with us better, but no, nothing was offered other than have a nice day. They had 4 or 5 guys on shift, all were working on the same car, really just taking their time. They were very casually standing around and giggling. From an outsider perspective if you have had people waiting for that long you should be hustling not cracking jokes. read more

I've got to say that this location has restored my faith in the small super fast oil change locations. I had quit going to them because the up sale tactics were getting out of dam control. Every-time I go they always want to throw all the bs stuff in your face that I don't want. Just do the oil change so in an go on about my day. I've been a commercial customer for 5 years, I've stuck it out with the temporary workers that really didn't know what they were doing but the other day I went in to get a oil change and had a real problem with "snowball" rude and unwilling to even listen. All because I had a drain plug that was not factory. It's even better then factory, you just urn a simple lever and oil drains out. Funny thing is they have been doing my oil changes for 5 years on that truck and that day snowball decided he doesn't like it and wants to give me attitude. I barely drive anymore and I was out of the country for many months where my car sat idle but time wise I was way overdue for an oil change. I took my car to Take 5 because they were good to me last time. When they checked my oil they told me that I didn't need a change and my oil looked very good. Also they proceeded to top off all my fluids while I was there. Between that and the pleasant conversation I had with the staff, I will remain a long time customer with them. I've been going here for a while, but lately the service has been slowly declining. They claim to be "the fastest" but that's definitely not the case here. There's only 2 bays, so depending on how many cars are already there you find yourself waiting in your car for a while before the services are rendered. I waiting about 35 minutes before I pulled in the bay and another 25 in the bay. When I pulled into the bay they told me when they finished with the other car they'll work on mine. The staff seems to be unhappy because you can hear them complaining to each other while working so that's interesting. I've never had issues with performing the oil change but depending on what time you arrive plan to wait more than expected for a fast oil change. read more

To it may concern 3/7/22 @ 12:52pm We went to Take 5 oil change @ location #381 store on 6334 University BlvdWinter Park, FL 32792. The guys doing the oil change were friendly and did their job. I asked if I could use there bathroom they said no do to Covid was no public bathroom,we couldn't get out of the car ,they said we are almost done . One of the workers broke the dipstick and it needed to be replaced so he went to talk to manager that was working. And I needed to relieve my bladder because it was full and couldn't wait much longer told the guy assisting us . I'm going to the woods in front of us. So I went in woods behind a dumpster area. And came out. The manager who saw me go behind dumpster ask if she could help me when I was walking back to shop I said no and that I was coming back from urinating in the back woods she got upset and said next time go to another business very rude I explained to her that I had ask and was told there no bathrooms for customers. I think that if your business is going to make people wait the least they can do is have a portable bathroom for emergencies like this please fix this situation before some goes in there pants . I'm still waiting on them to call me back for a dipstick replacement they said they were going to replace since they broke it . They said it would be an hour, manager said the dipstick looks fine. Until it's replaced. This type of behavior from a manager isn't acceptable ! I understand the hard times and Have tons of patience. But kindness and good customer service goes a long way . Do not ever go here! The absolute worst experience I've ever had in my life!!! The so called "mechanics" that work here are an absolute joke. I got my oil changed here, and after one month all the oil was half gone. A month later I'm driving down I4, and my car starts smoking, and completely stops. They never put the cap back on where the oil goes into, and I ran out of oil which caused my engine to completely be ruined. My car was towed to a dealership where they said this was all their fault, and I needed a new $13,000 dollar engine! I reached out to the oil change company saying it was their fault. The dealership reached out to them as well, and we never got a response. They were 100% at fault, and did nothing to try to help. This place is an absolute disgrace!! Do not go here!!! In addition while my car was at the dealership for a month waiting for a new engine two other vehicles were brought in with the same problem, caused by the same take 5 oil change place. Save yourself the time and money, and go somewhere else!! Only gave one star so I could make this post!!!! read more

I want to tell you about my experience here at this location on University Blv on 4/15/23 Sat. This is my 3rd time going to this location and unfortunately the 3rd time was not a charm. I was here twice before in the past with no issue. The techs were Jesaiah, Danny and John. I know it was a tech Jesaiah that mentioned that a little bit of oil spilled "just a little bit." I didn't think much of it as I sat there waiting for them to get done. I saw another tech John, walk over using a rag to wipe of the "little bit" of excess oil, according to Jesaiah. So, I drove home, took me about 15mins and while driving, I can smell burnt oil in the car and so I parked the car in my garage and waited awhile and popped the hood and noticed some oil spatter on top of the engine and around the engine block. I wiped off the excess oil as best I could. Now, I work from home mostly and I don't drive my car very often. On Tues afternoon this week, I decided to get gas and while I was pumping gas, I noticed white smoke coming out of the hood area of my car! I hurried up and only ended up getting 3 gallons of gas because I got concern about the smoke coming out the hood area of my car! My car has never had this issue until I came here to this location. On Wedneday this week, I left 2 messages with 2 reps at this location to ask to speak to the manager because I want to report this to him or her and so far, no call back. My next step is to call corporate because I have not had a call back from the manager.I don't feel safe driving this car and Take 5 University needs to be accountable. Please be aware when taking your car there. I hope the manager at this location reaches out to me here to discuss this incident. read more

Rarely do first visits ANYWHERE go as well as my first time at Take 5 on University Boulevard today. I could not have been more impressed with the customer service provided by Chariti and Rafael. I arrived and was directed right in. Chariti is an exceptional employee. Anyone who can be that courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful is an absolute gem. She checked me in and told me exactly what I was getting. She even managed to sell me on new wiper blades (2 for $20) and installed them. She checked my filter herself and showed me where the information for my tire pressure is - in my own car! Then she showed me how to update my dashboard maintenance display. She even cleaned my window and asked me if I was happy with my new blades. C'mon! Mad skills! Rafael could not have been sweeter and immediately provided a cool air fan so I wouldn't swelter in my car. I doubt if I was at Take 5 for more than a few minutes, but this impression will last a lifetime. Excellent job! Thank you so much! read more

I took one car in this morning for an oil change and before I even managed to gear into park Darin was coming over with a smile and a bottle of water. He is so kind and helpful and when I couldn't find the lever to pop the hood he asked if he MAY open the door which to me made me feel very comfortable and safe. After that oil change I brought our other car back in that I had the oil changed on a month ago. They topped up the tires, oil, and replaced my wipers that were under warranty for free. Darin has really put together a fantastic team. John and Brian have taken great care of me and my family. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. This place knows what's up! Can't recommend anyone better! A clean, quick oil change. Experienced, patient employees who are super friendly and answer any questions you may have. I have visited several locations and this one particularly shines with great service. All the Take 5's I've visited offer discounts for Military, Students or Fleets. Obviously they might not do the most detailed inspections, but for the price and the time, I can't complain. They go above and behind to make your vehicle safer and cleaner to drive. For example, I dropped my dipstick in between the radiator and base of the car about a week before coming in for a change. These guys spent the extra time to retrieve the dipstick. I also had a bolt missing in my license plate, without even asking, they replaced it. It really helps going in knowing what you need-- they may try to sell you new wipers or a new air filter, but if you know those expenses are needed in advance you'll have a much better time. read more

I had the BEST experience here after religiously using other chains to get my oil changed. What I loved about my experience here was that none of the employees were trying to up-charge me constantly. Typically when I get an oil change (at other places) I never leave under $100. Here, I left only spending $45 on my synthetic blend oil. I also was able to easily download an $18 off coupon before my visit. When I arrived, I was greeted by the staff with a water bottle which was very nice. Darin, Noel, and Brian took care of me and we even shared a few laughs during the oil change process. They were all quick, efficient, and worked great together. I really appreciated their kindness, quickness, and sincerity. Not only did they change my oil, but they also filled my tires, windshield wiper fluid, and wiped down my windshield. Took my car in to get an oil change. People were courteous but problems occurred when the gentleman changing my oil tore my one of my air intake hose.. they assured me not to worry and that they would order me a new part. They got my info and told me they would be in touch. Weeks went by and nothing. I called in to check on the status of the part and the assistant manager said that he didn't know anything about it and frankly, didn't really seem to care. He asked me what day I was free and the days I mentioned, they were apparently all full up :/ I won't be going back here and suggest that you don't either.
