i've dealt with darren the three times i've been here. soon after moving to the area and not knowing where to go i just happened to turn in here and upon meeting darren was soon relieved i had found my go-to place for my 2009 toyota tundra. they noticed a tiny bulb by the back licence plate was out and changed it for $10! nice. another time there was a nail in my tire, they fixed it in 20 minutes for $40 and i was on my way again. but i delayed getting the truck in for the next service and with covid wasn't driving very much. then, come this fall, i started driving around A LOT, enjoying camping around the state. truck got grumpy. took her into darren and although i never say go ahead and do everything you think she needs--i said that--and they did. the $700 bill seemed like a lot but come on! i'd owned the older truck since late 2019 and only had service once? and wow did she drive like a dream when i got her back, and only an hour or so later. the feeling of people having worked on my vehicle who take pride and pleasure in doing a top-notch job made me so happy. everyone here professional and nice. i highly recommend this great place. read more

If you don't value honesty and want to get "taken", then this is the place for you. I brought my car in with a slow leak in a tire that was 2 months old. They looked at it and told me the nail was too close to the side wall to be repaired. He gave me a quote of $373 to replace the same tire as I had on the vehicle. The tech showed me a photo of the tire and the nail was at least 2 " away from the sidewall. The acceptable distance from the sidewall, for a safe, reliable patch is over anything over 1/2". I had at least ann extra 2&1/2 " from the safe spot. The tech clearly thought he had a dummy, and once again, auto repair shops seem to think they can fool women and take them to the cleaners because we won't question what we're told. I then called around and Discount tire quoted me $219 for the same exact tire installed. I took the tire to them and told them it looked to me like the tire could be patched. They agreed and did the repair. Discount Tire charged me $0 for the repair, whereas Jiffy Lube had quoted me $49 to patch a tire, before the tech tried to sell me a brand new, not needed, tire for the $373. This place is so scummy. They always tell me that my van needs a million things that it doesn't. Probably trying to take advantage of me because I'm a woman. Twice now I've had them tell me that my van needs thousands of dollars of work. I'll take it to my trustworthy mechanics afterwards and give them the laundry list that Jiffy Lube gave me and they'll tell me that the van only needs one or two of those things fixed (it is an older van). The only reason I was going here was because my mechanics are so good that I need to book appointments with them weeks in advance. From now on I'll be taking my vehicle elsewhere for oil changes. I want to make you all aware of the type of scams this location is doing, I received a $25.00 DLL off coupon for an oil change at this location, the mechanic states it's $69.00 for a basic oil change, when their own recording states $59.00, I didn't want to argue, so I asked him to ring me up with a total, he says $106.00, when I jumped back and asked him why, he says taxes and miscellaneous, I said what kind of misc warrants a $37.00 DLL increase, he says materials, use or rags, and the funnel, I removed my vehicle and went to Meineke auto care down the street, Jeremy and a John took care of me, asked how much, he says $59.00 dlls, then he says no wait, I have a coupon for you, your total price is $34.00 total .. love this place .... I purchased tires through an online company, who listed Jiffy Lube as a recommended installer. I had the tires shipped to the Jiffy Lube and made an appointment for tire installation. Upon arriving at the location for my appointment, the employees seemed confused and were clearly not prepared for the job. After a short wait, the General Manager, Frank, took the vehicle and proceeded with the installation. Upon receiving my vehicle, (after more than 2 hours waiting), I noticed that one tire was underinflated, and the tire pressure sensors (TPMS) were not re calibrated properly. I stopped to check the tire pressures and also noticed the valve stems had not been replaced, per the contract. I returned to get the TPMS fixed, which took him all of 2 minutes to accomplish. I brought up the old valve stem issue and he stated (lied) that my package didn't include new valve stems. Puzzled, I contacted the company i purchased the tires from, and they were able to confirm that I had indeed paid for new valve stems as part of the package. Long story short, Frank refuses to honor the terms of the contract. read more

I took in a family member's car for an oil change and received great attention and service. There were a couple other vehicles ahead of me but the crew worked quickly. All told, it took about 45 minutes for them to finish everything. They discovered a large rodent's nest under the hood, which took a while to clean up, but they got it done! They also replaced the air filters and did a comprehensive inspection. Always check online to see if there's a coupon you can use. I was able to save $10 on the price of the oil change. I went in for a simple oil change and it ended up taking 3 hours when upon arrival I was told 40 minutes max. (There was only one person in front of me) Unfortunately it didn't seem like anyone was in any hurry or explained the hold up. I typically change my own oil on my WRX and my wife's XA. However due to the fact that we recently moved I haven't had the space in the garage to complete my usual ritual. I took my wife's car here a few days before X-mas and the place was buzzing. I parked my car and was greeted by a tech. who explained the service options in detail and was amenable to my request for high grade synthetic Mobile 1, which they stock in abundance. They got my wife's car in and began working. The manager and I narrowed down what level of service I was going to receive and he was very low pressure and didn't make a fuss when I turned down a new air filter. Then when it came time to pay up, the manager was nice enough to give me a coupon from their website that knocked $30 off my tab. All in all, the waiting room was nice and clean as well as the service area. They got my wife's car in and out in less than an hour too. Women that go into this shop alone beware, or better yet, just don't! They will PREY on you expecting you to not know anything, and they WILL try to sell you things you DO NOT need. They called me into the back office and told me my back brakes were at 4%, I repeat 4%, and that they were in dire need of being replaced. Well, this of course was very concerning to me, as I have a toddler in the car with me and his safety is my number one priority. My husband typically changes my brakes, so I politely declined their services. Right after my oil change I went to the car parts store and bought new brake pads. It cost $50 to buy new ones, and I asked my husband to take part of his Saturday to replace them right away. Well, nothing says it better than a photo. Take a look! My back breaks are no where close to needing replacement. They are maybe at 40% use. So, Jiffy Lube, answer me, why did you lie? We just spent $50 that we really needed for other things this month on brake pads we DO NOT need. In addition to this, my husband spent half his Saturday changing them. Are you going to return our money and time? I find it completely despicable that your employees would lie like this, and prey on me because I was a single mother who stopped in your store to get a simple oil change. Shame on you! I take my Prius here because it's quick and cheap. But be sure to double-check their work. My last visit, in the past month, they only finger-tightened the oil drain plug. It came home leaking. It's usually simple to tighten a drain plug, but with 5" of clearance, it's daunting. Previously, they had left a total mess on the cabin air filter, something they never fail to recommend changing but this time, not so much. It would have alerted me that a mouse had gotten into the air passage. They've also failed to note the correct tire air pressure for this car (back and front different), among other minor problems. read more

I took my 2005 Suburu Forester, still working fine, in for an oil change and they said I needed other things, including transmission work. The bill was over $600. The car made loud weird noises going home. I found out that the cap was not on the transmission and there was no fluid, just metal shavings in the bottom. My local mechanic said the transmission was shot and I had to get a new used car. No one ever answered my calls to Jiffy Lube although I had been going there for years. I would not recommend this location for an Uber inspection. They failed my car because a fog light is out. There is no slot on the Uber inspection form for fog lights, only headlights and taillights. The ASE technician said the fog light is part of the headlight system therefore it fails. Other places do not fail my fog lights for the inspection, because they are an optional lighting system and don't automatically come on with the headlights. I'm sure they wanted to get the sale of replacing the fog light bulb to make more money. The good side is they did not charge me for the Uber inspection since they would not pass it without the fog light replacement. read more

I normally leave the mechanic or quick oil change spots feeling a bit frustrated. Not here. The staff at the 1975 cerrillos rd jiffy lube were Helpful, friendly, and showed compassion and incredible attention to detail. they got my rear brakes done in no time . The lounge offered popcorn and refreshments and was super clean. They were all incredibly courteous and professional. I will. E returning for all oil changes and probably more. This was a much better experience than most mechanics so far. Thank you Phil, Steven, Kyle, Kenneth, Vincent, Michael and Thadd! Excellent work. They also offered help finding discounts and coupons and they don't pressure you into anything which is a sign of a solid business.
