Came for an oil change. Fast service, but took the time to explain everything to me in regard to my side questions. Followed up having one of those issues serviced today. Picking up my car, Dennis explained everything done to make sure I understood as best I can. (I'm not very auto-savvy). On top of that, Dennis warned me about a tire I had no idea was ready to pop. He doesn't do tires there but that notice could have been the difference between me sitting on my butt this afternoon at Discount Tire replacing it, or being stuck on the interstate to CO, TX or Southern NM. I feel like Dennis looks out for his customers and does what he can to minimize the beating their wallets might take. - I trust Dennis as much as I trust my guys back at Sam's Automotive back in Fort Lauderdale. I was very anxious about a sound my car was making and Isaac helped diagnose it immediately -- he did me a huge favor by squeezing me in the same day and I immediately felt like I could trust his input. I have never ever felt that way with a mechanic before. These guys have integrity, and although as a woman I usually hate going to a garage (need I say more?) I chose this place because of the great reviews...took in my 40-yr old truck that I'd just bought & asked for a Full-Tune...I don't know cars but do know that I did not want to be surprised by this used truck I just bought. It was already having issues staying started and asked that this be investigated. Also, it won't go over 55 on the freeway. In a nutshell, there were key things that these guys did not complete to determine the culprit. Upon picking up my truck about 5 days later I was told that "We really don't work on these older cars ya know, everything is computerized now & these older cars just take more time" So why not tell me this when I brought it in? When I called a few weeks later to say the issues were still happening and requested the actual items addressed in the 'tune-up' Dennis admits he never did a compression check when he changed the plugs out because it takes more time. I asked if they had a gauge and he said, "Of course we do" So how much more time does it take to fix the gauge onto where the spark plug was and look at the pressure for that cylinder?? His answer was that I did not ask for a compression check. Really, I thought that was your job, ya know...to tell me if it needs that done or not. HOW would I know to ask for that? Who is the Mechanic here? Nor did he take a close look at the distributor cap/rotor. He also said he did not change out the wires for the plugs. He says these cost extra and that I never asked for them anyway. If I was a mechanic, I would have worked on the truck myself...ridiculous. I would suggest that in the future, perhaps, when troubleshooting a 40+ yr old truck, to pick up the phone and give the owner a call. They may just appreciate you asking to do more tests to seek out the issue, whether or not is costs more...DO YOUR JOB I'M PAYING YOU TO DO! I dealt with an unusual car issue in NM where some sort of rodents chewed up the wiring inside my SUV and shorted the electrical system. I call it the wrong garage. My car ended up breaking down because of their mistake. Not sure who leaves all the glowing reviews. Dennis at least admitted it was his fault but yelled at me when my car was being towed. And later complained he didn't have a secretary to answer the phone...the reason he couldn't fix the car correctly. Really? This place was recommended to me by a guy who has years of great experience taking his 3 vehicles there, and for my family's 3 vehicles also, the Wright Garage has done excellent work on everything from a cracked radiator to minor electrical glitches to replacing an ignition. They call to offer you choices, do what it takes to do the job RIGHT, and do not try to gouge you. They usually don't return phone messages so don't bother leaving one. Best to stop by in person. Love these guys! Its hard especially for a women to find an honest place to take my car. I don't know a thing about vehicles and that leaves room for people to take advantage of that. But Denis at the Wright garage treats me like family explaining the components of my car and educating me on what is going on with it. They always call you up ahead of time explaining the issues and giving a clear price for the job which is always a fair price. We need more people like them! read more

Excellent - these guys really helped us out in a tough situation. We were visiting from out of town when our alternator went out. They fit us in on short notice, worked late to get the job done and came in early the next morning to finish it up so we could be on our way. Dennis has been around since I moved into Santa Fe in 1997. He has done good by me as I had to take a vehicle in for a timing belt. Thank god the motor didn't go when the belt did. Yes I'm back writing another review. When Ford sent me a postcard on the savings for an oil change (I needed one), tire rotation and 19 point inspection for $29.99 I made an appointment. In Ford I gave the man my postcard and waited for my service. He came in and went over what was needed on a future visit. I went to pay and the total was $114.00 (He said he couldn't honor the deal because it was expired by one day, the guy that booked my appointment said he'd honor it, but he gave me $10.00 off). He wanted to help me sign up for a Ford Card so I could schedule andget all the work ($3,000.00) done a.s.a.p. I went right to Dennis and confessed; showing him the list. After looking over the car we scheduled for the CV boot to be tightened and the rear top light to be replaced. All the fluids the wanted to flush; Dennis said it was unnecessary. He said my tires were fine; my brother moved the front ones to the back and had two new ones placed in the front 1 1/2 years ago. The rest of the recommended services Dennis suggested we take care of over the next two oil changes so I don't have one big bill. Dennis always has his customers safety in mind! read more
