Great work. Professional and don't recommend something unless it should be recommended. Well-trained mechanics who work together as a team. Markus, the owner, is from near Heilbronn, Germany (not far from Stuttgart). I trust them with my 2015 Mercedes E550 cab.

You get photos and detailed notes on the inspection electronically, and they also print out a list of their findings for you to have. Now for the not-so-good. The major not-good is the outrageous prices they quoted in their estimate for suggested and needed repairs. Most of the items on the list were things we could do ourselves for far less money. Some were curious -- when the key fob and interior button wouldn't open the trunk, it seems the mechanic never tried just using the manual release on the trunk itself, which works fine. Similarly, they wanted a couple hundred dollars to diagnose why the TPMS system light was flashing, but they never aired the tires up to spec or test drove the vehicle to see if the light went steady or went out. And nearly five hundred dollars to replace the battery? I'm a shade-tree mechanic from way back, and it feels insulting to be quoted exorbitant prices for things that anyone who can follow directions can do. So, if your car repairs are paid for by insurance and the adjuster approves, or if you have an unlimited car repair budget, I'm sure this shop will do a great job, and you'll love interacting with the personnel. But we have already gotten the oil changed for less than 2/3 of their quoted price, and have two quotes on some major service that would have cost literally one to two thousand dollars more at this shop, so we'll reluctantly pass on any further work there.

We called our regular mechanic we've been using for years who are honest, people of integrity, very good mechanics and for this reason we always take all of our vehicles to them but they were booked 3 weeks in advance. We made an appointment any way. We needed our repair sooner so I searched for mechanics that specialize in air conditioning and Auto Angels came up and remembering that my brother told me that they are good mechanics. So upon calling Auto Angels, they got us in right away next morning and told us that the repair would be $407 tax included. Later that day I received a call and was told we needed an AC overhaul and that it would cost $3074 and also other repairs needed totaling $11000 dollars including an oil change, stating that oil is very dirty. I mentioned to a lady on the phone that I didn't have $3000 right now but i would have to do this repair later and would go pick up our car. She was polite about it. We bought our vehicle brand new and have kept up with all required services and our vehicle has always run great. I talked with the mechanic and told him that we just had the oil changed not even driven 500 miles and he mentioned that if oil hadn't been changed for a while it will make the new oil look dirty. Being an auto mechanic myself sometime back, I immediately knew this was a lie and he was trying to bs me. Then I was charged $345 just for the diagnostic. This angered us. I called several places and asked what a diagnostic would cost just to determine repair if an AC unit needed an over haul. All averaged less than $200. Being charged $345 and never communicating this to us that there would be a charge for the diagnostic ahead of time in my opinion is crooked. We ended up keeping our reservation with our regular honest mechanic and he determined that there was no indication that we needed an AC overhaul but Compressor needed replacing and repair was just over $1000. Upon the start of the repair, our mechanic noticed that the nut that holds the pulley on the compressor was missing and was surprised the pulley hadn't fallen off so apparently Auto Angel mechanic forgot to put the bolt back or didn't tighten it and it fell off. Repair was made by our honest mechanic and AC works excellent with a 3 year 36000 mile warranty. We received a post card from Gabriel and Caroline requesting a review.

After getting spurious quotes and unnecessary recommendations from multiple shops, we found Expert…read moreAuto Repair & Service honest, prompt, reliable, and exceptionally user-friendly. Our family recently purchased a 2017 US-made runabout with short of 100k miles for twin 15-year-olds to learn to drive and get around town and relieve their mother of taxi duties in the long run. It needed quite a bit of work to bring it up to snuff, though the base vehicle is still solid and has a lot of life left in it. We did some of the cosmetic and easy stuff (replace sun visor, engine air filter, cabin air filter, change oil) done ourselves, got the used-car dealer to fix the front sub-frame that was bent and out of alignment), and postponed some longer-term work (brakes eventually will need new pads in the rear). But this 1.8L "interference" engine will be destroyed if the timing belt fails, and they recommend replacement every 100k miles, so we asked this shop to put replace the belt, water pump, and thermostat so the twins won't have to deal with catastrophic engine failure when on the road as new drivers. They not only did that and replaced the rear struts (leaking) with the new ones I had shipped to us, but they did it in around a day of shop time. The car was ready far sooner than we expected, and everything was in perfect order. This shop is also part of the network the used car dealer employs for its own warranty work, so the car is covered in case anything unexpected turns up in the next year. Top marks!

So, called on Tuesday, told them about the code, and dropped the car off on Thursday. Thursday afternoon at 4, after hearing nothing, we call them. They say they won't be able to get to it until Monday because they aren't open on Fridays (no info on this on the website). Monday morning, "Ron," the "owner and manager" and also idiot, calls me to tell me that it will cost $10,000. He doesn't tell me what they diagnosed or provide any details. He tells me they called our warranty company, but that the warranty company probably wouldn't cover it. (The warranty company disagreed) I asked for a list of the repairs needed and how they knew it would cost 10,000 dollars. He could not and would not provide it. I asked him if they did an actual diagnosis or just looked at the codes. He said they "did a full diagnosis". The more I pushed back, the more stupefied Ron got (not a hard task to complete, stupefying Ron). When I asked him how he knew what a cam phaser was, he said they wouldn't do any work. Then he told me they actually had done no diagnosis and just looked at the codes. So, for 4 days, they had a vehicle, they performed no diagnosis, they had no idea if the P0017 code was a cam phaser or a solenoid. Ron said, "This is a common issue, and we always replace all parts." By Ron's admission, they gave me a 10,000-dollar estimate with no work done or assessment performed, just going off Ron's big gut. He did send pictures to my girlfriend when i had her call of the parts list (no verification it relates to my vehicle). Though there is a bigger problem that iin 2026. Ron doesn't know how to use an email. So, Ron (505-474-6515) is a scammy, garbage mechanic who takes advantage of people and lies to them. Do not trust them, do not bring your car here. Taking it to an abandoned parking lot will be a better use of your money than coming to this swamp pit. Anywhere would be better than Ron and his merry band of misfits.

I was going to go to the dealer because it was a bit more complicated issue - the EPC light. But the owner assured me she could check this for me. She told me to have my car there the next morning by 9:00am and they'd check it out. Almost two days passed without any info regarding my car. I made 4 or 5 calls to inquire, each time the person that answered said he'd check with the owner and call me back. No call back ever happened. Finally, late afternoon the second day I called again, got the owner who said she was just getting ready to call me(?!). She said she "ran the codes" and the car needed spark plugs, an oil change, new coil and an oil separator. Not really what I had read were common issues when the EPC light comes on... So with this quote, I was concerned; I had recently had the spark plugs replaced and my oil changed. She admittedly didn't even check the oil in this diagnostic appointment for which I was charged nearly $100. And to boot she kept saying "ESP" light, instead of "EPC." It was even in the written quote. Didn't make me feel very confident that 1) they would be able to address the EPC light issue and 2) they really knew what my car needed when two items had recently been done (plus she didn't even check my oil). She quoted me something over a $1,000 to do this work. I told her I needed my car (I never expected to not have transportation for two days) and I would get back to her at which point I had to pay a diagnostic fee for something done hastily upon my 4th or 5th call and wasn't even accurate. Thank goodness I rescheduled my previous appointment with the dealership. They looked at my car, called me within an hour and it turned out it was my cooling fan, it had broken causing the car to not be able to cool and thus making the EPC light come on. I paid little more at the dealer than the crazy erroneous quote from Autocare 2000. I think they didn't know what the problem was and decided to just throw out the most basic common issues hoping that would bandaid the problem. I tell you this so you think twice before going there if it's something more complicated, because chances are you'll have to pay for something that's not even the problem and then pay again to actually fix the issue elsewhere.
