Reliable and honest. They work on Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus. After bringing them an old Accord I had such a good experience I asked for advice on where to take my Lexus (had just moved to town at the time). Although I haven't received my car yet I have to say that my experience with José (possibly the owner or co owner) was and is very pleasant. I came in to have some shocks replaced. Thinking the price would have been (out of pocket) a little high for a location that doesn't specialize in my car necessarily (doesn't mean they can't do it!), well it wasn't. Very affordable. I was also able to get a valve adjustment on my car that fit within my personal budget for the car. Great guys, clean space, nice working garage. They need better parking outside. Poor guys are working in a parking lot meant for a coffee shop. Not much there for them but near location. Thanks guys. read more

It's a great feeling to find a friendly, competent, honest mechanic in any city. I am happy to have found that reliability here in Santa Fe. I took my old Honda CRV in for a routine oil change and asked them to inspect the vehicle while in there. They came back with some recommendations (for known issues) and I asked them to do a brake job a week later. The work by Ron and Jose (and their team) was terrific! Not only is my CRV purring and braking confidently, but the overall value of their work is tip top when you consider how affordable they are. After the brake job I told Ron about my AC fan not blowing. He asked a mechanic outside to sit in my vehicle and listen to it. They both recommended I remove and clean the AC blower which is commonly known to draw in debris. Not only was the job an easy one I could do, but they SAVED me from an unnecessary expense! We moved to NM in 2005 and could not find a good mechanic for our Acura Integra. We had the usual "Go to the dealer, dealer tries to get you to pay $500 for something that costs $17 for parts and takes 10 minutes to install" routine a couple times in Albuquerque, and we didn't want to put up with that. We searched high and low, tried word of mouth, and used the internet to find someone honest. Then serendipity intervened and we found out that one of my wife's high school classmates was now owner of an Acura/Honda repair shop in Santa Fe! Jose and Ron are the best! They are honest, prompt, informative, and careful with your car's maintenance and repair. We used them from that day we found their shop in 2005 until this past January when we moved to CA. Jose and Ron kept our Acura Integra running strong - it is now at 194K and going strong. Ron and Jose picked us up at the Rail Runner station if we needed to take it from Albuquerque, answered phones after hours, and made sure to give us back our car in great working order. read more

They remember me by name and always take time to answer my questions and discuss options. My car was in Maine for many years, so it has some rust problems. The guys at Santa Fe Exclusive have dealt with whatever needed to be done, and the work has been done quickly and at a reasonable price. Before moving to Santa Fe, I lived in CA for 4 years. While there, I was unable to find anyone who I trusted to work on this car. One mechanic complained about the rust and over-charged me for his work. If I lived in Santa Fe, this would be my all-time mechanic! My family was driving cross-country and had issues with our car. The lights flickered on and off, and the engine wasn't performing as well. They readily diagnosed the car with faulty alternator. I asked them to check the timing belt because I didn't remember ever changing the original one on my 2000 honda civic (175,000 miles). When they did, they found the camseal 3/4 the way out and leaking oil! The alternator and belts were all replaced and the car was in tip-top shape for the remaining portion of our journey. I definitely recommend the work this team does! The only piece of feedback would be to not be afraid to make recommendations to customers. Solid work guys! read more

Hands Down the best auto repair experience in Santa Fe or pretty much anywhere. Jose answered his business line on an off day and gave me some direction, set up an appointment and quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem with my MDX. A short time later my ride was ready and running smooth again. Very fair pricing but more important excellent work. This is THE auto repair shop in Santa Fe NM. I'll never go anywhere else. I took my car to them because they service all the cars for the company I work for. My car, a car from 1999 with 160,000 miles on it was shaking and I wanted them to check it out. They checked it out and said nothing was wrong with it. The following day my car continued to shake and stall all over the city, so I took it to them again, and they kept it for a day and said that nothing was wrong with it. Pulling out of their shop on a Thursday evening my car stalled in the middle of Siler so I called them back and said "hey there is something wrong with my car". The told me to come back monday. I didn't get a chance because the following day in Albuquerque my car blew a rod through the motor block. I had to get it towed and the mechanic that looked at it told me the reason that happened was because I needed a new oil pump. That is actually really easy to diagnose because the oil pressure is really low when you need a new oil pump. I have a feeling the mechanics at Siler just drove my car around, and plugged it into a computer to see if the computer could diagnose something. Computers are not good replacements for humans, and can't diagnose a lot on these older cars. Sometimes its necessary to perform some good old mechanic work like in the olden days. Thanks to the mechanics at Siler I lost a lot of money, and I am down thousands of dollars. I am never taking my car to them again and am going to encourage my boss to find different mechanics. read more

This is the second time I have had major work done here. Both repairs were done to my satisfaction. Some notations-- the parking area is very tight-- they are very busy, especially when everyone is picking up their cars; patience is required. Each time I was there I felt they were very rushed-- of course this makes one nervous when auto repairs are made. Other than that they are personable (Ron and Jose) and they pride themselves on honesty and integrity. They also try their best to re-address any issues that may have been missed in repairs. I have always maintained my vehicles myself-- even to the point of rebuilding several big block engines-- however, at this point in my life, there are a few repairs I no longer want to do in my driveway-- like replacing the steering rack and timing belt. Santa Fe Exclusive did a great job on each repair-- just drove to Albuquerque and back and with no issues. I wholly recommend this repair facility. read more

Ron and Jose are true, honest professionals. Took my car in for brakes and let me know they were at 80% and fine. Just had some dust making them squeak. No pressure and no hassle. Never once added on a questionable charge and each time I asked them to rotate my tirrs, whether services were performed or not, it was at no charge . Just a couple good guys doing great work. Really happy with my recent experience getting some front end work done on my oldie but goodie 1992 Honda Accord. First off, note to Taos mechanics: maybe you don't want to quote white guys driving 1992 Accords the same as white guys driving 2018 Lexuses if you actually want their business? So the Taos mechanics scared me off to Santa Fe, an hour and a half away. Therefore I really hoped I chose the right Santa Fe Honda mechanics -- and that's exactly what happened. These guys really know older Hondas inside and out -- compare that with local mechanics who claim "I can work on anything" -- and they zeroed in on exactly what was wrong. Then they got me in quickly, somehow rounded up all the parts needed for a 26 year old car locally, worked with me to combine several services into an affordable strategy, and did the repairs perfectly. The result: no more rattles, gliding smoothly over bumps again, alignment restored. They were totally nice on top of it, dropping me off at a shopping center while they did the work and picking me up after. A great experience! read more
