On Monday, Leonard listened with empathy to my tale of woe, and offered to help when he could, even with a multi-week backlog. Thank goodness there were multiple cancellations that day. Leonard and his team were able to diagnose a complicated problem that required several hours to repair. Carlos Delgado De La O, the owner, installed the parts, fixed the A/C, and handled a number of other tricky problems I've brought to him since then. Carlos is a highly skilled mechanic who takes the time to stay up to date on both new and old vehicles and is able to accurately identify what is wrong and how to fix it. Through Napa (and perhaps other sources) he is able to get the right parts quickly. Although he is busy, he has always completed my repairs promptly and on-schedule. I have been very impressed with his care in doing his best to keep costs reasonable for his clients and in recommending cost-effective options. He provides written estimates, explaining them and the proposed repairs so that anyone could understand. His final bill to me has always been as estimated (or less). This was so they could put the lower American speedometer in a wrx and sell it for more. Again we went in for a head gasket fix and they changed our fucking speedometer. Might be cheap but you'll probably end up having to repair the same issue later on.

I asked if I needed to top it off with transmission fluid in the mean time and the woman working the desk assured me " no absolutely not, you're good." They called me the day before my follow up scheduled appointment and told me all of a sudden the guy who does the transmission is no longer with them and they have to cancel the job. Heard this one before and I call BS! This left me in a bind so I went to a very credible shop in Taos and we discovered I had absolutely NO transmission fluid !! Fluids had not all been checked and it was super dangerous to be driving with no fluid. No bueno
