There is a jiffy lube way closer to where I live that I used to go to (closer to the coast). Last time I was in at that other location, I paid $25 for a tire rotation. I go in today to the one closest to my house and they told me it was going to be $60. I told them I didn't think they were being honest with me and cited the instance not too long ago when I was in and paid less than half at the same location. The staff began getting defensive and told me "if I don't like the price, I can go somewhere else". So that's exactly what I did and immediately went to this jiffy lube where they were honest, friendly and did a great job. HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. I came in to get my oil changed on Saturday July 27th at around 12pm. When I pulled in there was 1 car in each of the 3 bays. The first mechanic that turned around and saw me rolled his eyes, walked up to me and said "what do you want", I replied "I'm just here for an oil change", the guy right in my face rolled his eyes again and said "sure why not" then walked away. After about 10 minutes another man walked up to get my information. I drive a 2016 Tacoma and have only gone to the jiffy lube in Carlsbad for oil changes my entire time having this truck. The guy walks up and starts to mansplain a bunch of different things about a 4 wheel drive truck like I don't know how my own truck works. He quoted me $130 for AN OIL CHANGE. I thought it was high but whatever. After another few minutes a few mechanics stand in front of my truck and are staring at the aftermarket skid plate I have. I hear them whispering laughing and making comments about me having it on. Then I hear one of the technicians say " oh hell no that's an extra charge". The man who quoted me proceeded to let me know I'll be an additional $30 to get the skid played off. No other Jiffy Lube has made me pay extra, but I understand there's extra labor associated with it so I didn't fight the additional charge. Keep in mind. My total is now 160 for an oil change. During the oil change I hear the KIDS working on my truck making jokes and pretending the skid plate is crushing them as they take it off. One of them is literally fake screaming and all of them are laughing. A few minutes later the kid comes up and shows another technician the video he took of what was happening below my truck and they start laughing. At this point I'm over an hour at this jiffy lube and am ANNOYED. So after the oil change I finally get home and as I'm driving into my place with my windows down I hear a new noise I have NEVER heard before. Still not sure what it is but it is a weird high pitch rumble. I am nervous they did something to my truck or skid plate and will probably have to take it into another shop soon to get this looked at. Overall HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. no one here is professional. Every single one of them acted like they were in 5th grade screwing around and mouthing off like there wasn't an entire shop full of customers. I never write reviews but this was absolutely the worst service experience I have ever had in my life. Read the reviews before coming here because mine is not the only one with this same type of experience. This location will scam you! I paid $200 for an oil change and brake fluid flush. THEY DID NOT DO THE BRAKE FLUID FLUSH. This was about $130 itself, that I wasted. I know they didn't do the brake fluid flush because soon after I took my car to this Jiffy Lube, I took my car to my reliable mechanic of a few years to get my brake pads replaced. They said it hadn't looked like the brake fluid had been flushed in a long time, definitely not anytime within the last year. As a women it's not uncommon to get scammed when trying to do literally anything with my car. Unfortunately this Jiffy Lube has proved my point. I call Manny, who tells me that it depends on the oils she requested. Knowing my wife, she damn sure did not ask for a specific oil. Last time I was here they dropped a ph tester in my brake line and tried to hide it and despite my better judgement I came back because it is close and convenient, or so I thought. Just sat in my truck in the drive up line for 15 minutes looking at a minimum of 5 employees who never even so much as acknowledged me. 2 other people behind me had backed out of there after receiving no greeting or check in and I eventually did the same when the path was clear to do so. I said that I didn't want anything free out of the review, I just wanted my experience shared with others, but the man kept insisting that I take the free oil change. After about 5 times of me explaining that it wouldn't change my review, I finally said fine to taking his offer so I could get off the phone. He said they would put the voucher under my name on their system at this jiffy lube. Well last week we drove to claim the oil change and guess what wasn't in their "system"? So instead my wife and I looked like a couple of jackasses asking for a free oil change and for them to "check under our name in your system." The employee assured me that's not a thing. What the hell costs $94.00 for an oil change?! I told him that's ridiculous and he said "well we already are draining your oil" so I had no choice... What a freakin scam show. Who said to me Jesus Christ have your coupon ready next time, even though they just suddenly walk up to my car and asked for payment and the website reloaded from the coupon page. I took my car here for an oil change a couple of times. I always notice that they try and get you to spend more money. I get it it's a business. People can say no if they don't want to get the service done. What I did not appreciate is the last time I went one of the people actually lied to me about needing brakes on my car. He actually had the tire off the front driver side and was showing me how it was worn and all. I had no idea what I was looking at. I asked him how much it would cost and was told about $1200. I said I would hold off because I only had the car for less than a year. I asked him how long it to get that way and he said years. I wasn't born yesterday so I took my car into where I purchased it from and was told that no way did I need new brakes in the front. I'm sure you've heard this before but I only wish I could rate this place NO STAR. A very good friend of mine had been dealing with an air conditioner problem. The truck simply wouldn't get cool inside. As we all know an AC is probably one of the top list priorities especially when you live in HOT Southern Cali. Well I recommended going to Jiffy Lube seemed like a reasonable priced place for what I believed would to be a legit fix. Wrong! I drove my bud over to the shop and they took in his truck and said it was most likely the coolant. Wrong again because a few days later we were driving around again and guess what? No cool air. So as an unsatisfied customer that paid $152.88 we went back and told the staff the issue persisted. The staff said they'd take a look again and then after checking it preceded to say that one of their staff must have put .06 of coolant accidentally instead of .60 because the fluid had almost depleted. Ok, honest mistake. They didn't charge us for this time which we were grateful but we deserved the corrective maintenance because it was their fault now. ***Just a couple days later... NO COOL AC. We then decided to take it to another shop and turns out something completely different was the problem!!! And guess what... $1700 for the maintenance! We called Jiffy Lube and let them know what had happen and we were just informed they are doing nothing to right this wrong. Very disappointed with this location. They used to be nice, professional and did the job right. I got an oil change a couple of days ago. The workers were young not professional laughing and playing around. Look like they are just out of high school. When I asked about transmission fluid placement the girl looked like she didn't know what that was. When the mechanic went to look it looked like he didn't know where it was. I told them just to do the oil change and pass on transmission fluid. They did the oil change. I went somewhere else for the transmission fluid. Other place did an inspection and said that my car is leaking oil and that my car needs break fluid replacement. I just "got" the break fluid replaced from Jiffy lube on my last oil change (6 months ago). So they didn't replace it at all or did a half a** job. Not the oil problem is going to cost me $400 to fix. Will be looking for a new place to get my oil changed now read more

I visited today, Tuesday 9:45am. no wait and didn't need to leave my car. There were 4-5 guys working on my car it only took 15 minutes from the time I pulled in until I left. They were very friendly and professional! I'm sure if they had been busy it would have taken longer. However, it was so awesome when everyone of the people working there came out and worked on my car. They didn't need to do that, but they did! That is great customer service!! I left my car here at 11:30, and was told to leave my phone number and description of my car on a piece of paper. Just going in for an oil change and a 100k mile fluid check. At 1:50 pm I called to check on my car, the guy who answered said my car was ready to get picked up. I asked him if any other work was recommended. He said he'd have to go and look at the computer and couldn't right now, but I'd figure that out when I got there. At 5:45 pm I get my first call from them, and they told me no work had been performed since they couldn't find my Jiffy lube account. They close at 6 pm. ENRAGED because: 1. My second time using this specific location for vehicle inspection for lyft and oil change. I always used Jiffy lube for my car maintenances and oil changes at all time, however after today's service with supervisor Mike was TERIBLE. I had an appointment set and provided my confirmation email to one the staff for my vehicle to be inspected and do an oil change, however i was told my appointment is not being honored and i was asked to wait 30 MINUTES for someone to take a look at the vehicle! I asked for Supervisor as it didn't make any sense why we had set up an appointment previously, if I had to wait additional 30 minutes!!!! Mike the supervisor walked up to me with an attitude ALREADY! When I advised Mr. Mike S. with my concerns and confusion as why my appointment was not honored he IMMEDIETLY RAISED HIS VOICE AT ME VERY UNPROFASSIONAL, stating how they do not honor appointments, and if it's Lyft inspection it is first come first serve at HIS STORE! I again advised Mr. Mike to keep it professional as he made me worry about my safety when he was raising his voice and approaching me closely and his mask was kept falling off his face! I reminded him that I have an appointment and I had done my 1st inspection with his location a year ago. If policy had been changed then Lyft wouldn't have his location listed for their services and appointments wouldn't be given! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had visited this location last month to have my spark plugs replaced & am just now realizing that they indeed didn't change them at all. I removed the spark plugs and coil packs tonight and realized that they are way too corroded and old to have been replaced last month. The coil packs were still factory as well as the spark plugs. I needed my front headlight replaced. After finding out that my normal tire repair shop didn't replace headlights, I called Jiffy Lube (what my hubby told me to do in the first place). I called 15 min before closing, having gone to the tire place first. Evelyn answered and said "no problem, just make it by 6pm and we'll take care of you". I was only 10 minutes away, so drive over with 5 minutes to spare. The ladies and gents there took care of me, and had the light replaced in no time. Once again, never had any issues with any Jiffy Lube I have ever been to. Needless to say the one in Oceanside kept its same motivating factor for a quick and easier transaction. I went here on a Sunday day and was quickly able to enter and exit with zero issue. The staff was able to take my Jeep back with ease and made it for a very pleasant experience, already carrying my information for the car in their registry. I sat down for 20 minutes, made a quick phone call and was told my vehicle was ready from service without flaw! Discounts included from the coupons online, Jiffy Lube continues to impress me for the easiest and quickest oil changes that I've grown too lazy to do. I got my oil changed here months ago but when I had someone else change the oil for me recently they said the bolt for the oil drain was screwed on so tight that a specialized power tool is needed to remove it. I called Jiffy Lube to ask them to loosen the bolt and then tighten it manually so it could be removed because I need to be able to change my oil myself. The person who answered the call then transferred me to the manager. I explained the same thing to him and he didn't listen to me. He said we can't just loosen the bolt, it's a liability because it could leak. I said that's not what I'm asking you to do, can you loosen it and then tighten it manually so it can be manually removed. He said no. I said do you realize that's the same thing as putting a padlock on my gas tank, I need to be able to change the oil myself and he hung up on me! I call back several times and they finally answer. I tell them you can't hang up on a customer, I'm not going to stop calling, and you can't do this to my car. They said ok bring it in and we'll do it for free. Came in for an oil change. Brought in a coupon presented it to the desk when I arrived. Was told, "hang on to it". Was given a receipt/estimate was told that is with the discount. Hmmm... OK. Came back to pick up my car and was told my air filter needed to be swapped. It did look a little dirty but not horrible. I OK'd it. Might as well. Was given my invoice at the end and noticed the total seemed a bit high since I had a coupon. Walked back in and checked back with desk, "did you include the coupon discount"? Desk, "ooooh I didn't, I was supposed to do that at the end". Hmm. I wouldn't have thought twice but $40 for basic oil is standard. I also called your other location afterward and they gave me a 38.99 qoute without coupon. Biggest mistake, desk guy flipped the top half of the invoice over (obscuring the total) while I was looking over and signing the 3 page invoice. Not cool buddy. Was asked if I wanted to save the coupon for next time or get a refund the difference... Really? You thought that was a good offer/remedy? Lol. It's 8:10, and Jiffy Lube still isn't opened. Whoever the manager is or the keyhole is didn't show up until 8:05. They opened one bay door so oil could be pumped out, and other than that still waiting. Finally, 8:15 and bay doors are opening. The only reason I use Jiffy Lube is because I have a fleet vehicle, and this is where we take our vehicles. There is only one person setting up. I expect t a call from a jiffy lube representative for this horrible service. 8:20, and im still waiting to be brought in for my oil change.
