This is the second time this has happened to me at this location. I need my car serviced, I pull up. No greeting. Nobody comes out at all. There are 6 or 7 people inside and there is only 2 cars being worked on. I wait. 20 minutes go by and still not even a hello from them. I left, just like the last time. Went in for my 3,000 mile oil change but they didn't check the steering fluid. The steering fluid went down to a point that the pump went bad. Had to replace the pump $1,000 !!!! read more

I recently visited Jiffy Lube to take care of some preventive maintenance for my Audi, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. At another location, it was already a challenge to get clear information on what type of antifreeze they were using in my car. I explicitly informed the attendant that my Audi requires OEM-approved G12, G12++, or G13 coolant. The attendant, however, claimed they used an in-house "universal" product that supposedly meets or exceeds the standard. Still uneasy about this, I called back later for clarification. The employee on the phone treated my inquiry as though it were an inconvenience. After some reluctance and noticeable attitude, they disclosed that the product was called "Trinity." This lack of transparency immediately raised red flags for me. When I reached out to this specific Jiffy Lube location for confirmation, my call went unanswered. As the attached photo demonstrates, my phone was ringing endlessly. Frustrated, I decided to drive to the location, only to find five employees standing around chatting while another was buried in the engine of another car. Given there were no other customers in sight and the lack of working with a purpose, it's safe to assume this was a personal car, given how extremely fast the other location was flying lightning fast changing fluids, which raised another flag on if the job was done period. This made it clear they were not busy, which explained the unanswered call. When I inquired about the "Trinity" coolant, the young man who spoke to me was completely unaware of it, and no one else had any useful input either. It was evident to me that the staff at both locations on Oceanside Blvd lacked both knowledge and training in this area. At this point, I chose to leave before my frustration escalated further. Now, for my peace of mind, I have to take my car to a reputable shop or, worse, the Audi dealership in Carlsbad, which will undoubtedly cost me significantly more. This situation leaves me questioning Jiffy Lube's standards and the competence of its employees. Are they merely trained to drain and fill fluids without any deeper understanding of the specific requirements for certain vehicles? Who is responsible for ensuring proper training? Where are the audits? As a customer, I felt disregarded, and the lack of professionalism and care from the Jiffy Lube staff at two locations has completely eroded my confidence in Jiffy Lube businesses everywhere as this level of service is unacceptable and reflects poorly on this brand. It felt like people who want the job, but once they got it, they don't want to do the real work they're paid to do. read more

I live a block away but this visit was a clear reminder why I drive miles to go to Valvoline instant Oil instead. The lady Jocelyn that checked me verbally told me she was tired and excited to go home in 30 minutes. When I told her I needed to get my alternator checked, she forgot so I had to tell her again before she left. She must've been too focused on leaving because a few minutes later she was gone and apparently never told them about my alternator getting checked. 30 minutes later they were done and gave me the bill and I showed my $10 off coupon and Sergio said he would take off the $10. Then I asked what were the alternator results, he said they didn't look, so I asked again if they could please check as my car died earlier that day and I needed to know if it was the alternator or battery. 10 minutes later they show me the results and it was my alternator and I should go to a mechanic. I then asked if they do it there and he said he is not sure but he's ask. He later confirmed they do alternators and will get me an estimate. 10 mins later they provide me an outrageous estimate. I then asked just to pay for the oil change and reminded him of the $10 off coupon. Couple minutes Sergio comes back and apologizes but he forgot to take off the $10 but offered a future 15% coupon in the future which is a horrible counter offer as I don't plan on ever come back here again. From forgetting to check my alternator to forgetting the $10 off coupon this overall experience was horrible and would not recommend going here even if you live across the street. I work in service and understand everyone has an off day but this was more than that, they clearly don't like their job and the customers are the ones that suffer. read more

I dropped my car off for an oil change while I went to the gym next door. By the time I was done my car was ready ! There is a coupon on the jiffy website that allowed me to get $15 off the oil change so the price wasn't too bad with the coupon. The staff was very friendly although a little inattentive. 5/10/25, first time at this location. The oil change came with a checklist of complimentary actions, that's nice. I knew that one of my tires needed air, so I asked explicitly for that. The intake process was smooth ("same oil as last time? yes.") I went to wait in their lounge. 10 quarts of oil and $192 later (after the service), I'm going through the paperwork and finding that a lot of the items marked as "completed" have in fact not been done - including the air! It's about trust - I don't care if you don't wash my windshield, just don't lie about something this obvious. I went back to get the air and was on my way, but I bet that other things on the list were not done either.. I hope that at least the oil has been filled as advertised. These kids working there clearly need some oversight. read more

I've been a Jiffy Lube customer for a long time, but this visit was extremely disappointing. The manager's name - ALEXIS behavior was unprofessional, pushy, and lacked basic customer service. I felt pressured into unnecessary services and the focus was clearly on money rather than customer care.the so called manager or assistant manager named alexis should not work here if that's what the company represents!!! I can not believe this is the company hires !!!!!!!!! What stood out most was how different the experience was compared to past visits. Not to mention when there was females working here! The environment felt uncomfortable, and I did not feel respected as a customer. This has never happened to me at a Jiffy Lube location before, and it left a very bad impression.Customer service should be welcoming, transparent, and respectful and especially from management. I come here every 30 days for oil changes and theyre pretty great but they need more staff. doesnt matter what day or time i go-theyre slammed busy and they try their best without enough staff. a car arrived 25 mins after me and got done with their oil change as mine was starting. not the staffs fault-they were busting their tails to get the lines in and done. theres always a long wait, long lines. read more

The paper work said they clean windshield but they don't , they look at batteries and fill up all fluid but they don't even look or do it . As usual, it was a positive and productive visit to Jiffy Lube on 4106 Oceanside Blvd. I was politely greeted upon entry, and Daisy professionally asked what services were needed. She also asked if I needed the tires rotated. When I declined, she was respectful and asked me to wait until I was guided into the bay. I was also offered the opportunity to wait inside the lobby or in the car, but I chose to stay in my vehicle. While in the car, Elian was courteous and professional. We came for a oil change and a general overlook of our vehicle and the workers seemed a little inexperienced. They didn't know what to do in regards to taking a general look at the vehicle and we asked a few times to have them look at our filters, and I don't feel we should have had to remind them to do these things. The worker needed to go look up how to change the filter in our vehicle. The oil change also took longer than it should of, the workers just didn't have any sense of urgency to get the job done and were just okay with getting it done when it got done. Hector, Matthew, and Robert were absolutely incredible. I called 30 minutes before closing on a Friday to see of they would accommodate an oil change, fuel system cleaning, and service checklist. Hector was so kind to say bring it in. When I got there, they showed such amazing customer service and were time efficient. I have to five a special shout out to Hector. I don't usually leave reviews, but this place did me dirty. While they claim to do all the things like check filters, fluids, brakes, and the whole nine yards. They did none of that. Also when I requested, for an oil change, they did it. But the quality of it was subpar, they didn't screw on the O-ring connecting to the engine so oil leaked over where. read more

I have brought my vehicle here for its last two oil changes, and I am appreciative that they are open during these trying times. The structure has changed a bit (I stayed in my car), and a huge plus for me was getting to chat up the manager because I stayed put. I rarely name people in my reviews, but Mike made my visit spectacular! He is boisterous, super friendly and made me a loyal fan of this location. A downside to them not going in my car is the dashboard light is still on, but I can pretty much figure out when to come back. Overall, even though it's 20$ more to stop in for an oil change than the dealership in Carlsbad, I don't mind paying for the convenience. And it's waaaay better than the 4-to-7ish hours Oceanside Tire and Service Center would hold my car for a simple oil change. There is a jiffy lube way closer to where I live that I used to go to (closer to the coast). Last time I was in at that other location, I paid $25 for a tire rotation. I go in today to the one closest to my house and they told me it was going to be $60. I told them I didn't think they were being honest with me and cited the instance not too long ago when I was in and paid less than half at the same location. The staff began getting defensive and told me "if I don't like the price, I can go somewhere else". So that's exactly what I did and immediately went to this jiffy lube where they were honest, friendly and did a great job. I will now ALWAYS make the drive to come here for my vehicle needs. read more
