If I could give zero stars I would! -My son took his 2009 Ford Escape here for an oil change and transmission flush. $300 later and the same evening the transmission started to slip. Had to have the car towed to a transmission shop only to find out that the transmission fluid was not replaced. They only added 1/2 back in, the oil change was not properly done either. But oil and transmission had to be filled up. Please do not take your car here unless you want to have costly repairs after. read more

Just had my oil changed recently and was greeted by Ernie. He was very polite and respectful. Ernie and his team were able to have my car finished within only 15 minutes! I went for an oil change and I felt I was being hustled. I wanted their Signature service for my Hyundai Hybrid. I was informed that that they ran out of that oil. All they had was premium. So instead of an oil change and filter that would have cost me $60 something dollar I end up paying over $115 for premium synthetic. I was in the rush, so I just wanna get task completed. read more

I just got an oil change a few months ago and just took my car to another shop for brakes. They showed me my air filter that Jiffy Lube installed in my car. See photo. Did they install a broken and used filter? What is this?? Being a woman, I always assume I'm getting scammed when it comes to any auto business, but this is egregious. They clearly installed a broken and possibly used filter in my car. They also left black finger prints all over the outside of my glove box. It's absolutely filthy. They also tried to convince me (aka scare me) that I needed a transmission flush, but I had just gotten one four months prior. If you're a woman or not knowledgeable about cars, I would not go here. The one star I have to give is only for the fact it's incredibly convenient to drop it off and have an oil change done quickly while I'm shopping at Sprouts, but clearly the service is quick because it's careless. The guys act "nice" in theory because they are somewhat friendly, however, if you're dishonest, you're not nice. If they were honest with customers and did good work, it would be a great and convenient place to take your car for basic services. read more

****Consumer Beware****** My wife took my daughters car here for simple oil change. They never discussed price or grades of oil or had her sign anything. At the end they told her the price, they are charging more that the dealer with their upgraded oil that was never authorized. When she asked why so expensive, his response was "oil changes are expensive now and it is what it is". Well Jiffy Lube, taking advantage of a woman was a bad idea. You violated BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) laws, that state service has to be discussed and agreed to in writing before any work is performed. You took advantage of the wrong family and we are opening a case with BAR. Consumers be aware of their scams of upgrading oil without your authorization because it's double the price and they wont say anything until work was already done. read more

Been taking my car to various Jiffy Lube's and have gone to this particular location several times and have been happy with my visits in the past. It had been a while since I took my car to the Jarvis location and it was all new staff.... unfortunately. Nice guys, but when I left I noticed that my glove box was damaged after changing the air filter. I decided to let that go as it was still functional although super annoying that it was damaged. However, some time goes by and I noticed that my car was leaking oil and, long story short, turns out that my oil filter was extremely loose and not tightened during service! How hard is it to make sure an oil filter is on tightly. I'm just thankful my oil filter did not fly off while I was driving. read more

This place does a little courtesy tire pressure check, cleans the windows, and vacuums the car, which is great. But honestly, the main thing is to do the job right. I asked them twice to tie down the underside of my car after I did the oil change, and they keep doing it wrong. The next day it blew up on the way to work, super disappointing. Car needed an oil change and decided to stop by Jiffy Lube because it was close to my house and as the name suggests, service was fast and I was out in less than 30 minutes. The technician was also helpful in answering any questions and pretty upfront about the pricing, which was about the same as other places that I go to. They helped put air in my tires too since they were pretty low. read more

Pretty flawless first visit today. I used to go to Carmax for all of my oil change needs, but since my husband no longer works there, I needed to find a new place where I can go- so here we are. Pulled up at 4:50p on a Friday afternoon and was helped right away. We pulled into one of the empty garages and a gentlemen assisted us within seconds. Mohammad presented us with an estimate and they began working on my car, just like that. Mohammad was very thorough on what they were going to do today. I then started my 15-20 minutes timer, as promised by Mohammad and his team. With 2 minutes to spare, our car was done. $114 includes an interior vacuum service, tire air and pressure check, synthetic oil change, car wipe down, windshield wipe down and changed the engine air filter. I had oil and filter changed on August 18th at Newark CA Jiffy Lube. Staff was friendly and service was done quickly. Few weeks later after we moved to LA found oil dripping on the driveway. I took the car to local Jiffy Lube and thank God they checked it and found out the person who was supposed to tigthen the bolt underneath the car hand tightened it. Bolt was tightened with the proper tool and more oil was added. Oil had leaked and went all over the place which I had to power washed in order to get it cleaned. I called Newark Jiffy Lube and they are sending me check for power wash. I had also sent email to corporate but no response or any corrective action. I have never expericed this before. Bad service and will not recommend to go to Newark for service again. read more

Second time here, and came back to get an oil change because the service here is so friendly. I had my reservations about Jiffy Lube but this place has me coming back. I've had to stop by another time to get my oil topped off and the guys working that day were quick and super nice. They had me in and out in no time. The guy at the register is a cheerful chatty Samoan dude named Danny. He helped pass the wait time with stories about his home. He was so friendly with all the customers he was helping, it like was so heart-warming to see. This really goes a long way in our fast-paced-stuck-on-our-phones world. A $161.42 oil change cost me a new transmission. I came to this jiffy lube to get a normal oil change, left with a noise coming from my engine and was told that it wasn't anything major, only because they had spilled oil on my belts. Fast forward, my transmission started slipping, after I took it to the dealership they informed me someone had pulled my transmission plug and put it back without a gasket. Now it needs a new transmission. The owner provided an auto body shop where I could get a similar transmission for $2,700 but doesn't think they did it and doesn't think they are responsible. They refuse to believe it was them even though they're the only people to touch my car, don't risk it and just go to another place. read more

I took it into this place, and Ryan helped us out by checking it and refilling it to make sure it was at the proper level. And didn't charge us for the service. From the first time we went here and the owner of the shop, a very kind Samoan man (I forgot his name) he'd take care of us and also tell some amazing stories of Hawaii and his family. Sadly, he has moved on and the shop is under new ownership, but the awesome service continues! Yesterday, we got an oil change and the guy there Carlos provided us with amazing service and also offered to clean the oxidation on our Honda Odyssey headlights! And offer a great deal for it too. Jamal let me know of everything that he was doing and made sure to take great care of my car while working diligently yet in a timely manner. 11/13/2014: I had to add an additional note to this review. Earlier this week I took my car in to the mechanic I go to for tune-ups. He found oil spilled and leaked all over. Says things were not properly replaced after my last oil change. Somehow it didn't surprise me. Yet another reason not to bring your car here! *********************************** Don't go here! Their customer service is terrible. I've never had a shadier experience at any other Jiffy Lube. Let me start by saying that I showed up 15 minutes before closing. At no point did they ever indicate that they couldn't accommodate me. The fact is, they're still opened. If you're going to service my car, do the job to its fullest. Instead these guys rushed the job and were clearly more interested in closing shop than doing the job right! So, here are the examples of why they did a poor job: 1. At no point did they ever discuss with me my cabin air filter, wipers, lights, fluids, etc. It is standard practice for Jiffy Lube to discuss these with you. It's happened to me literally at every other Jiffy Lube I've been too. 2. The tech didn't bother to put the paper matt down on my floor. I didn't notice until the following morning that there were black grease stains on my floor matt! Guess they couldn't spare the 3 seconds to throw the paper down. 3. As I'm driving away, I noticed that my windows hadn't been cleaned and my floors not vacuumed, again a standard practice at all Jiffy Lubes. When I was stopped at a light, I checked my invoice and it states that I had "declined" those services! Impossible because I wasn't even asked! The only conversation I had was when they tried to up sell me on the type of oil and to settle the bill. Oh I take that back. One of the guys has a car detailing side business and he had the nerve to give me his card and ask if i was interested in getting detailing done! Can you believe that?! You're already giving me crappy service, then you have the nerve to peddle your own side business while on the clock at Jiffy Lube?! What a joke! read more
