DO NOT GO HERE!!! Went here for oil change on the 17th. Four days after my car starting flashing a low oil warning. Save yourself a headache and AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I decided to get my oil change on my 2005 Sienna during my lunch break, and having been to the Pit Stop a few times, I knew it would be fast and easy. Went in, got my oil change, paid the $67, and left. When I arrived home, I had several voice-mails waiting for me from the Pit Stop, urging me to return. I back my van out of my garage, and lo and behold, there's a pool of fresh oil on my garage floor, with a trail leading out on my driveway into the street. I drive back to the shop, and the techs told me they didn't tighten a seal or the filter, or something. What?!!! They supposedly fixed it, but I'm still having leaks, plus now I have to clean up the oily mess in my garage and driveway. Did I get a full or partial refund, or a maybe a free or discounted oil change the next time? Nope. All I received for this huge inconvenience was an apology and a shrug with the comment "These things happen...people make mistakes." Thanks for nothing. read more

I read the reviews here on Yelp and decided to give Pit Stop a try but a little context first. I knew it was time for an oil change and I decided NOT to go to the dealership again. They're too expensive and always want to do what's on their checklist instead of what you ask for and what is necessary. Last time I brought my car to the Honda dealership (in Fremont, they suck) I told the service rep that my car sounded like it was running a little rough. He told me that's just they way Honda engines sound. I was skeptical but hey, we believe the "pros" right? Found out today, my transmission fluid needed to be changed, badly. As for Pit Stop - It's a little tricky to get in and out of but don't let that stop you. Best service I have ever had for my car. Needed an oil change and was advised to change air filter (it looked really dirty) and to change my transmission fluid, also quite dirty. The entire service took about 15-20 minutes and I paid by venmo, easy peasy. Prices are very reasonable, no appt needed, no up selling, and I got the services I needed. Interesting, my car has never run or sounded so smooth. Guess that's what happens when you get the services you need. I'd give more stars if I could. My new go to for maintenance on my Honda Civic. read more

As someone who does his own oil changes, I ended up coming to The Pit Stop since I won't have time to do my change for a while, and I have no regrets at all. It's about as clean as you'd expect for an auto service shop, but definitely cleaner than my own garage when I do my changes. Harris did my change, and he was professional, thorough, and respectful throughout the whole service, even offering to change my air filter for me. I would recommend calling ahead if it's your first time getting your oil changed, since oil changes on some car models take a little longer than 10 minutes: my model of Accord has a panel I know takes some time to remove, and Pit Stop made sure to let me know it would take an appointment and about 20-30 minutes for the change when I called them ahead of time. They got me an appointment for an hour after I called, and got me in and out in about 30 minutes as promised, plus I didn't have to leave my car at all. Cost me about $85 at the time for a synthetic oil change, which is pretty standard for synthetic, but I'd say the the reliability, transparency, convenience, and straightforwardness of the service they offer might just change my mind about doing my oil changes at home. read more

Place used to be good back when they only charged 60-70 for an oil change, but I recently just got my oil changed for 91 bucks. If you buy your own, the cost of oil + the oil filter comes out to be ~40 bucks. That means they're skimming 50$ bucks per oil change for 5 mins work. There's other shops near by that only cost 60-70. It's important to leave these type of comments so owners know that they're losing business when they increase price out of greed. read more

I sit here stranded on the 5 in Oregon waiting for a tow truck. Why you may ask? Well, a couple of days ago, I had my oil changed by this company and a ? flush because it had been a while since my last oil change. After dropping $110 ($120 with tip) for the oil change/flush. I was on the road. Made it almost to Portland and tada oil light comes on and shortly after, car dies. So here I am. Oil-less on the 5 freeway near PDX. My husband checked the dipstick and there is no oil in my car now and he suspects they left the gasket on from the old filter and it's been leaking since I left Fremont. Hopefully, my car was not too damaged from this. If it was, this is going to be a bigger problem than a shitty oil change. Not cool, y'all. Not cool. Update: The mechanic who fixed the problem (in Oregon) said they didn't even bother to tighten the oil filter. Be careful bringing your car to this place. Their poor workmanship could have/might have killed my engine and might possibly kill yours. I've been taking my car to this place for a while now. Very friendly and quick guys indeed. I read some people complaining about expensive oil changes for synthetic oil. Well, I do have a suggestion - go and check how much 5 quarts of synthetic oil actually costs. I did. Discount warehouse Costco charges $44 + tax per 5 quarts, so a total of $90-100 for an oil change is reasonable in California, where inflation is just ridiculous. I am looking for a car mechanic who will not rape me with $400 an hour of "diagnostics", which makes a Mitsubishi dealer 200$ price like a steal. I am not going to name this "5-star" place. BTW, As I was there the technician checked very quickly my transmission fluid and I am glad he did. With a very quick flash and new fluid refill, the transmission stick now shows a nice pink color again. read more

They are fast, for sure. Never told what kind of oil my car takes and never told me what like they used. Charged $88 for a Honda CR-V. The car after 1500 miles starts making a funny noise when I start it. Only last a second. After 1500 miles of this I go to Honda and they change the oil for $81. Hmmm dealer is $7 cheater and I know I am getting good synthetic oil. Oh ya the car no longer makes that noise on start up. Last time for me. Also have a 3/4 ton GMC with their oil. I came in for an oil change and pretty much stood there the whole time as the guy did it, and didn't see him once go under the car. About 8 minutes later some older middle Eastern guy came out to hand me an invoice and I was like, "is he done? I didn't even see him go under the car".
